An Analysis for Success Factors of Social Network Game Towards Farmville Game (소셜네트워크게임의 성공요소분석 : 팜빌 게임을 중심으로)

  • Currently social network games with an emphasis on the relationship between the friends, especially women users and the elderly users of over forties, have contributed to the expansion of game market attracting large audiences. Though recent interest in social network games and the explosive propagation of social network game into game industry, scholarly research for social network game is insufficient. The objective of the study is to explore the success factors for successful social network games through the depth interview with game experts. We suggest the guidelines for development of social network game. Commercial success of social network games and the number of users with the best game, farmville, were investigated for understanding key success factors in social network game field. As a result, social interaction, simple interface, asynchronous method, instrumental rationality factors have been identified. This result of the study will expect the guideline in order to develop a successful social network games.

Stability Analysis of a Networked Control System with Multiple Packet Transmission (다중 패킷을 전송하는 네트워크 제어시스템의 안정성 분석)

  • The main objective of this paper is to propose a new stability analysis method for a networked control system with multiple packet transmission. The new scheduling method that can guarantee the maximum time delay and discrete switch state equation model which represent a network data loss is proposed. The equivalent model of a MIMO(multi-input multi-output) networked control system is derived from a state space model of linear time invariant interconnected systems in the form of asynchronous dynamical system. Using this model, this paper presents new stability theorems that can determine stability of the networked control system with regard to time delay, data loss, and the number of transmission packets. Simulation results verify the effectiveness of proposed stability analysis method.

Design of Self-Starting Hybrid Axial Flux Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor Connected Directly to Line

  • In view of the current state of the reserves of electric energy generated resources and the share of electric motors in electricity consumption, many researches and studies related to efficiency in electric motors are being made. The presented work is related to the Axial Flux Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor (AF-PMSM), which has recently undergone significant work based on the development of magnet and motor technology. In this study, a novel AF-PMSM was designed analytically through Finite Element Method (FEM) which can be started by connecting to a line such as an asynchronous motor in a transient state and can operate with high efficiency and power factor after synchronization in steady state without the need for an expensive motor drive. According to the obtained FEM results, a design with an efficiency class of IE4 of 5.5 kW shaft power, a 4 poles motor was obtained. As a result, economic calculations indicate that the extra cost of the designed Line start AF-PMSM with respect to the asynchronous motor is rapidly compensated by energy saving due to a more efficient operation, especially constant speed operations. As a result of the analysis obtained, the targeted values are reached. For induction motors and radial flux permanent magnet synchronous motors, a good alternative motor that can operate with high efficiency and power factor has been obtained.

  • Web service mashup bacomes one of the important web application development methods. This paper considers a client based mashup, where a page interfaces many service methods asynchronously. Browser systems execute callbacks when the corresponding reply arrives, possibly concurrent to user interface actions. In this case, callbacks and user interface actions share data memory and screen. Moreover, when the user is able to send another request before the previous ones have replied, the shared resource problem becomes more complicated. In order to solve the multiple requests problem, our contributions are as follows. First, we modeled a mashup page with user actions and callbacks, and we presented several types of callbacks. Secondly, concurrency condition is defined between callbacks and user actions in terms of shared resources, and the test method is presented. Also, we proposed the serialization approach to guarantee the safe execution of callbacks. Finally, we applied the proposed concurrency condition on XForms language and extended the XForms browser to implement the proposed approach. The prototype implementation showed that the proposed approach helps enhancing user experience on mashup pages.

Sexual Maturity and Spawning of Ocean Sunfish Mola mola in Korean Waters (한국 근해 개복치(Mola mola)의 성숙과 산란)

  • The sexual maturation and spawning time of female ocean sunfish Mola mola in Korean waters were studied by observing the gonads histologically. Specimens were purchased in a fish market in October 2013 and May, June, and October 2014. Nine females (total length 100-250 cm, gonad weight 31-3,470 g) and one male (total length 131 cm, gonad weight 60 g) were studied. Histologically, the ovaries became active in May and spawning began in July and continued until October. In July, mature oocytes and yolk globule stage oocytes were observed; parts of the gonad showed traces of spawning, while others had degenerated and absorbed any oocytes. By October, many oocytes had degenerated and been absorbed. Therefore, the approximate spawning period of ocean sunfish is from July to October based on histological changes in the gonads. The asynchronous oocyte development suggests that the ocean sunfish is a multiple spawner, as reported previously. The catch distribution data suggest that the waters around Jeju Island are a sunfish spawning area.

  • DARBS는 저널베어링 및 구름베어링에 지지되어 있는 회전체-베어링계에 대한 동력학적 해석을 수행하는 프로그램이다. 해석에는 유한요소법(finite element method)을 이용하며 선회속도(whirl speed), 모우드 형성(mode shape), 임계속도(ciritical speed) 그리고 비동기 가진응답(asynchronous response)등에 대한 해석결과를 제공한다. 본 프로그램의 주된 특징은 람다 행렬(lambda matrices)의 개념을 도입하여 비동기 가진응답의 해석에 적용하 고, 베어링 상수와 자이로 효과와 같은 회전속도 의존성에 대하여 체계적인 접근방법을 사용했다는 점이다. 본 프로그램은 IBM PC 및 호환 기종에 적 합하도록 개발되었으며 기본적인 출력장치를 지원하는 S/W가 포함되어 있 다. 또한 대화식 데이타 입력과 메뉴처리방식을 채택하여 사용하기 편리하게 하였으며, 오류발생시 메세지가 나타나 오류수정을 용이하게 하였다.

  • 최근 기존의 설치형 어플리케이션으로 제공되던 워드 프로세서나 스프레드 시트 등이 RIA(Rich Internet Application)와 Ajax(Asynchronous JavaScript and XML)같은 기술의 발달로 구글 독스(Google Docs)와 같이 웹브라우저(Web Browser)에서 동작하는 형태의 클라우드 기반 웹 어플리케이션으로 제작되어 널리 사용되고 있다. 또한 기존의 웹 기술로는 구현하기 어려웠던 동영상 포맷 변환이나 사진이나 동영상에 필터를 적용하는 것과 같은 영상처리가 가능한 클라우드 기반 웹 어플리케이션이 등장하고 있는 실정이다. 이에 본 논문은 컴퓨팅 자원을 많이 사용하고, 장시간의 변환이 필요한 360도 영상의 변환과정에 꼭 필요한 기술인 포토스티칭(Photo-stitching)을 클라우드에서 가능하게 하는 프론트엔드 및 백엔드를 구현하고, 웹소켓(Websocket)기술을 활용하여 실시간으로 변환결과를 전달 받을 수 있도록 하였다.

  • In this paper we implement moving picture transfer system using bluetooth Development Kit (DK). To reduce the size of the image data, we use M-JPEG compression. We use bluetooth Synchronous Connection-Oriented (SCO) link to transfer voice data. Server receive image data from camera and compress the image data in M-JPEG format, and then transmit the image data to client using bluetooth Asynchronous connection-less (ACL) link. Client receive image data from bluetooth ACL link and decode the compressed image and then display the image to screen. Sever and Client can transmit and receive voice data simultaneously using bluetooth SCO link. In this paper bluetooth HCI commands and events generated by host controller to return the results of HCI commands are explained and the flow of bluetooth connection procedure is presented.

  • In this paper, we describe about control system for eletro-hydraulic LVAD(Left Ventricular Assist Device) and control algorithm for two operation mode. One is asynchronous operation mode and the other is synchronous operation mode synchronized with natural heart's R pulse. We also present implementation method of software PI algorithm for velocity control of motor used in LVAD system and its response.

  • This paper introduces an implementation of high performance voltage source inverter system based on 16bit micro-processor and DSP for the application to modem rolling stock traction system. In contrast with other industry oriented inverter system, this system requires precise control action complying with various load condition and high overload capability. An asynchronous PWM generation and 3' pulse mode technology are adopted in order to improve compliant starting torque characteristics at starting phase and soft backward-forward starting motion.
