  • Purpose - The paper aims to study competency mapping in the organization and how does HR department focuses to provide a definitive road map to understand, design and implement competency models in the organization. Research Design, Data and Methodology - Descriptive research design has been used in the study. The sample size of the study is 75 consisting of employees working at DMRC, barakhamba road. A structured questionnaire was designed to collect the primary data. SPSS has been used to analyze the responses of the questionnaires. Results- DMRC frequently employs some form of competency mapping to understand how to most effectively employ the competencies of strengths of workers. Conclusion - To conclude, it was found that the company has cost effective system to recruit and select people which is working satisfactorily.

  • Case-control studies are widely used for disease gene mapping using individual genotyping data. However, analyses of large samples are often impractical due to the expense of individual genotyping. The use of DNA pooling can significantly reduce the number of genotyping reactions required; hence reducing the cost of large-scale case-control association studies. Here, we discuss the design and analysis of DNA pooling genetic association studies.

  • For hard rock subsea tunnels the most challenging rock mass conditions are in most cases represented by major faults/weakness zones. Poor stability weakness zones with large water inflow can be particularly problematic. At the pre-construction investigation stage, geological and engineering geological mapping, refraction seismic investigation and core drilling are the most important methods for identifying potentially adverse rock mass conditions. During excavation, continuous engineering geological mapping and probe drilling ahead of the face are carried out, and for the most recent Norwegian subsea tunnel projects, MWD (Measurement While Drilling) has also been used. During excavation, grouting ahead of the tunnel face is carried out whenever required according to the results from probe drilling. Sealing of water inflow by pre-grouting is particularly important before tunnelling into a section of poor rock mass quality. When excavating through weakness zones, a special methodology is normally applied, including spiling bolts, short blast round lengths and installation of reinforced sprayed concrete arches close to the face. The basic aspects of investigation, support and tunnelling for major weakness zones are discussed in this paper and illustrated by cases representing two very challenging projects which were recently completed (Atlantic Ocean tunnel and T-connection), one which is under construction (Ryfast) and one which is planned to be built in the near future (Rogfast).

  • Today, many people seek for their own personal character which is distinguished from another people and they utilize fashion coordination as the was of expression their own image. In addition, interest in electronic commerce and cuber shopping mall on the internet is increasing. For this reason, visual and interesting virtual fashion coordination system is needed. The purpose of this study is to propose possibility of fashion coordination by virtual 3D model. For this study, 1. We make a 3D standard body model by automatic generation. 2. We make 3D fashion item (sleeveless top and flare skirt) by automatic generation. 3. We combine 3D body model with fashion item by special point, grouping and gap being between body and clothes. 4. We make textile palettes and textile DB for texture mapping and rendering. As a effect of this study, 1. It can give the chance to coordinate clothes suitable for their own character and bodyshape on the cuber space more speedily and variously. 2. It can help fashion internet shopping mall company can save a time, expenses and tries to advertise their new products, offer service for customers and lead customers to purchasing. 3. It can accumulate a database of design and textile for using by fashion and textile industry.

  • With the advent of the 4th Industrial Revolution, the importance of solving problems through computing has been emphasized, and software education to improve computational thinking as a core competency has been designated as an essential subject. In order for education for computational thinking to be effective, appropriate tools for evaluating computational thinking must be supported. While studies on computational thinking have been conducted in the meantime, there have been no systematic studies on such evaluation-related studies. This study analyzed the related studies on the computational thinking assessment conducted in Korea and analyzed the previous research of the evaluation tools, evaluation criteria, and evaluation methods. Based on this, the implications for the study of computational thinking evaluation method were suggested.

  • Increased usage of autonomous underwater vehicle (AUV) has led to the development of alternative navigational methods that do not employ the acoustic beacons and dead reckoning sensors. This paper describes a simultaneous localization and mapping (SLAM) scheme that uses range sonars mounted on a small AUV. The SLAM is one of such alternative navigation methods for measuring the environment that the vehicle is passing through and providing relative position of AUV by processing the data from sonar measurements. A technique for SLAM algorithm which uses several ranging sonars is presented. This technique utilizes an unscented Kalman filter to estimate the locations of the AUV and objects. In order for the algorithm to work efficiently, the nearest neighbor standard filter is introduced as the algorithm of data association in the SLAM for associating the stored targets the sonar returns at each time step. The proposed SLAM algorithm is tested by simulations under various conditions. The results of the simulation show that the proposed SLAM algorithm is capable of estimating the position of the AUV and the object and demonstrates that the algorithm will perform well in various environments.

  • The interaction using digital media has been widely utilized in modern art. In particular, network based digital media enables two-way and real-time communication regardless of time and place. Network is possible to connect to effective and meaningful communication of extended relationship. This study proposes novel human-MediaFacade interaction method through a mechanism on interworking between 3D mapping technology and social media, smart devices. This study has an important meaning which can be set multi-user interaction. And a study of creating 'Facade' which interaction has high artistic value.
