에어로빅복의 유니버설 디자인을 위한 동작 적합성 평가 (An Evaluation of Aerobic Exercise Wear Mobility as a Basic Criterion for Universal Design)

  • This study compared and studied the clothing mobility of two types of aerobic clothes - those made of currently popular stretch materials and those made of new stretch materials that were specially developed for this study. The focus of the comparison was on the range of joint movement during activity, and the physiological burden imposed on the body by the clothes. In total, 18 experiments were carried out under controlled conditions in an artificial climatic chamber with a temperature of $25{\pm}1^{\circ}C$, air humidity of $60{\pm}5^{\circ}C$ and negligible air movement. Each exercise program consisted of a 30-minute of aerobic workout and a 20-minute rest following the exercise. Measurements were taken to determine the following: physiological reactions (whole-body and local sweat rates), subjective sensations(of temperature, humidity, comfort, tightness, and clothing wetness), joint angle(measured with a goniometer), and so on. The results of the study us as follows: Material B excels in clothing mobility. Material C excels in sweat absorbency and drying speed. Material A was found to be the hottest material, while material C was found to be slightly hot through the analysis of the change in pre- and post-exercise bodyweight(= amount of sweat). Regarding the amount of evaporated sweat, material A>material C>material B. Material B produced the smallest amount of evaporated sweat. The wider the range of joint movement, the smaller the amount of sweat and the lower the average skin temperature.

Larval Gnathostomes and Spargana in Chinese Edible Frogs, Hoplobatrachus rugulosus, from Myanmar: Potential Risk of Human Infection

  • Chinese edible frogs, Hoplobatrachus rugulosus, were examined to estimate the potential risks of human gnathostomiasis and sparganosis in Myanmar. A total of 20 frogs were purchased in a local market of Yangon and examined with naked eyes and the artificial digestion method after skin peeling in June 2018 and June 2019. Larvae of gnathostomes and Spirometra (=spargana) were detected in 15 (75.0%) and 15 (75.0%) frogs with average intensities of 10.5 and 6.3 larvae per infected frog, respectively. Gnathostome larvae were 2.75-3.80 (av. 3.30) mm long and 0.29-0.36 (0.33) mm wide. They had a characteristic head bulb with 4 rows of hooklets, a muscular long esophagus, and 2 pairs of cervical sac. The mean number of hooklets were 41, 44, 47, and 50 on the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th row, respectively. Collected spargana were actively moving, particularly with the scolex part, and have ivory-white color and variable in size. Conclusively, it has been first confirmed that Chinese edible frogs, H. rugulosus, are highly infected with larval gnathostomes and spargana in this study. Consuming these frogs is considered a potential risk of human gnathostomiasis and sparganosis in Myanmar.

  • 상악의 복합조직 결손이 크게 있을 경우에 그를 재건하는데는 여러가지 방법이 있지만, 본 영남대학교 의과대학 성형외과학 교실에서는 최근 경험한 2예의 상악부 복합조직결손을 재건함에 있어서 광배근 근피 유리피판술을 이용하였던 바, 각각 16개월 및 2개월의 추적에 있어서 별다른 기능적 이상없이 만족할 만한 결과를 보았다.

강도가 제어된 인공피부 진피를 활용한 기능성 펩타이드의 프로콜라겐 생합성 분석 (Analysis of Procollagen Biosynthesis of Functional Peptides Utilizing Stiffness Controlled Artificial Skin Dermis)

  • 본 연구에서는 가교 분자를 사용하여 0.7 kPa에서 17.7 kPa까지 다양한 강도를 갖는 콜라겐 겔을 성공적으로 제조하였다. 가교된 콜라겐 겔에 다공성 기공을 도입하고 진피세포를 내부에 담지하여, 겔 강도에 따른 세포 성장 및 거동을 확인하였다. 상대적으로 강도가 높은 겔에서 진피세포의 프로콜라겐 생합성이 47 ng에서 32 ng까지 감소하는 것을 확인하였다. 이렇게 제조된 인공피부 진피에 아데노신을 처리하였을 때, 특정 강도를 갖는 콜라겐 겔에서 프로콜라겐 생합성이 감소하는 것을 확인하였다. 반면에 기능성 펩타이드를 처리하였을 때는 프로콜라겐 생합성이 콜라겐 겔의 강도에 크게 영향을 받지 않는 것을 확인할 수 있었다. 이러한 결과는 강도가 제어된 인공피부 제조 및 응용, 나아가 다양한 조직공학 분야의 기반 기술로 활용 가능하리라 기대된다.

Quantifiable and feasible estrus detection using the ultrasonic sensor array and digital infrared thermography

  • Detection of estrus is an essential factor as a method of successful breeding in the sow. As increasing the adaption of the information and communication technology (ICT) into swine industry, this study focuses on a possibility and quantification of standing time, vulva and body temperature as methods of estrus detection, comparing each time and temperature in estrus and non-estrus period, and analyzing each success rate of new and existing methods. Ultrasonic sensor array and digital infrared thermography were used to evaluate whether new methods such as standing time and number, and vulva and skin temperature can be replaced, or these methods can be quantifiable in estrus period. Ultrasonic sensor array was installed beside the stall and digital infrared thermography was placed in the rear of sow to collect the dates of sow in estrus and non-estrus period. This study showed total standing time, number and number over 10 minutes, and vulva temperature of the sow in estrus period were increased (p < 0.05) compared with those of sow in non-estrus period, respectively. Detection of estrus using standing time and vulva temperature tended (p = 0.06) to increase the success rate when artificial insemination (AI) was performed. In conclusion, standing time and vulva temperature increased when estrus happened. Success rate of AI of sow using these methods showed an increasing trend. Therefore, existing method using the naked eye can be replaced to new method such as vulvar temperature and standing time when detecting the estrus.

키토산 기반 분자 각인 고분자 필름의 슐린닥 흡착 및 방출 특성 (Adsorption and Release Characteristics of Sulindac on Chitosan-based Molecularly Imprinted Functional Polymer Films)

  • 분자인식기술은 특정 분자를 고분자 매트릭스에 각인시켜 특정 분자의 선택성을 높이는 기술로 관심을 받아왔다. 이 연구에서는 Sulindac (SLD)을 각인시킨 키토산 기반 약물 전달용 필름의 흡착 및 방출 특성을 가소제, 온도, pH를 변화시켜 실험하고 그 결과를 관련 모델식으로 해석하였다. SLD 각인 고분자 필름의 약물 흡착은 Freundlich와 Sips식이 Langmuir식보다 더 잘 설명되었고 binding site 에너지 분포 함수는 SLD와 고분자 필름 간의 흡착 특성관계를 이해하는데 유용하였다. 그리고 SLD 각인 고분자 필름의 약물 방출은 Fickian 확산 거동을 보인 반면, 인공피부조건에서는 non-Fickian 확산 거동을 따랐다.

  • 의학계에 다양하게 인공지능을 적용하는데 있어 한계는 우선적으로 해석자의 병증 이미지를 해석하는데 주관적 견해와 광범위한 해석자, 육체적 피로감 등이다. 그리고 병증마다 주석 달린 데이터 셋을 수집하는데 기간이 오래 걸린다는 것과 개발된 딥러닝 학습 알고리즘의 성능 저하가 없으면서도 충분한 훈련 데이터를 얻을지에 대한 의문이 있다는 것이다. 이에 본 논문에서는 여드름 데이터 셋을 기준으로 기본 이미지를 수집할 때 선정 기준과 수집 절차에 대해 연구하고, Sequential 구조로 딥 러닝 기법을 적용하여 적은 손실률(5.46%)과 높은 정확도(96.26%)로 데이터를 분류하는 모델을 제안한다. Keras에서 기본 제공하는 모델과 비교실험을 통해 제안 모델의 성능을 비교 검증한다. 향후 본 논문에서 제안하는 여드름 분류 모델에 유사 현상들 적용하여 의학 및 피부 관리 분야에도 적용 가능할 것으로 예상된다.

포스트 코로나 시대의 뷰티서비스 인재 양성을 위한 교육과정 개발 연구 (피부미용을 중심으로) (A study on the development of curriculum for nurturing beauty service talents in the post-corona era (focusing on skin care))

  • 본 연구는 코로나 시대이후로 가속화된 뷰티분야의 4차 산업들과 융합으로 산업에서 요구되는 실무능력을 교육하기 위한 교육과정 개발을 목적으로 진행되었다. 여러 문헌의 탐색적 조사와 전문가의견을 수렴한 결과 뷰티산업은 앞으로 단일 아이템 또는 서비스 제공이 아닌 의료, 바이오, ICT, 인공지능 기술 등이 결합된 개인맞춤형 서비스 제공 산업으로 분야가 확장될 것으로 분석되었다. 분석 내용을 바탕으로 전통적인 뷰티산업에서 요구하는 기본 직무 능력 외에 갖추어야 할 디지털 활용능력을 추가하여 교육과정을 구성하고 과목을 도출하였다. 코로나 이후의 시대는 4차 산업혁명을 기반으로 다양한 산업의 변화를 가져올 것이며 이러한 변화에 대응하여 뷰티산업의 발전과 지속가능성을 위한 인재 개발을 위해 대학에서는 산업의 변화에 항상 주목해야 할 것이다.

Comparison of Patients Satisfaction with Direct to Implant versus Latissimus Dorsi Flap with Implant Breast Reconstruction Using Breast-Q

  • Background The latissimus musculocutaneous flap (LD flap) is a useful option for breast reconstruction following mastectomy. It has the advantage of obtaining sufficient tissue padding and natural shape by using autologous tissue. However, with the emergence of the skin-sparing mastectomy technique and artificial dermis matrix, direct-to-implant (DTI) breast reconstruction has become the first choice of surgery. The purpose of this study was to compare the satisfaction levels of patients who underwent DTI and LD flap with implant using patient-reported Breast-Q results. Methods A retrospective study was performed reviewing the records of 49 women who underwent immediate breast reconstruction with DTI or LD flap with implant and responded to the BREAST-Q questionnaire after the operation. The patient-reported breast-Q results were analyzed and correlated to the demographic information and intraoperative information. Results A total of 26 patients who underwent reconstruction with LD flap with implant and 23 patients with DTI were identified and responded to the questionnaire after an average of 32.3 and 10.4 months postoperation, respectively. According to the patient response to the breast-q values, satisfaction with breast was 60.0 and 57.0 points, psychosocial well-being 61.0 and 60.0 points, and sexual well-being 41.0 and 43.0 points in the two groups. Overall, there was no significant difference in the breastQ score between the two groups. Conclusion Patients who underwent DTI breast reconstruction seemed equally satisfied with the appearance and outcome of their breast reconstruction compared with LD flap with implant. Therefore, it appears that DTI is adequately replacing LD with implant.

Hybrid machine learning with moth-flame optimization methods for strength prediction of CFDST columns under compression

  • This paper presents a novel technique that combines machine learning (ML) with moth-flame optimization (MFO) methods to predict the axial compressive strength (ACS) of concrete filled double skin steel tubes (CFDST) columns. The proposed model is trained and tested with a dataset containing 125 tests of the CFDST column subjected to compressive loading. Five ML models, including extreme gradient boosting (XGBoost), gradient tree boosting (GBT), categorical gradient boosting (CAT), support vector machines (SVM), and decision tree (DT) algorithms, are utilized in this work. The MFO algorithm is applied to find optimal hyperparameters of these ML models and to determine the most effective model in predicting the ACS of CFDST columns. Predictive results given by some performance metrics reveal that the MFO-CAT model provides superior accuracy compared to other considered models. The accuracy of the MFO-CAT model is validated by comparing its predictive results with existing design codes and formulae. Moreover, the significance and contribution of each feature in the dataset are examined by employing the SHapley Additive exPlanations (SHAP) method. A comprehensive uncertainty quantification on probabilistic characteristics of the ACS of CFDST columns is conducted for the first time to examine the models' responses to variations of input variables in the stochastic environments. Finally, a web-based application is developed to predict ACS of the CFDST column, enabling rapid practical utilization without requesting any programing or machine learning expertise.
