Artificial silkworm eggs must do washing the acid completely after soaking HCl. Author experimented following deacidification times: 30 minutes, 1 hour, 2 hours, 6 hours soaking and 12 hours soaking eggs in the fresh water after artificial hatching, and incubated room temperature. There was no difference 1 hour's with control but more than 1 hour deacidification influenced badly in hatching ratio. Especially above than 6 hours deacidification was not only delaying 1 day in hatching date but also decreasing in practical hatching ratio.
There are many reports concerning to the restoring times, and the range of times are very wide. Author restored the artificial hatching silkworm eggs 1 ice pit (5$^{\circ}C$) two different method; one restored in directly after protected following different times 24 hours, 48 hours and 72 hours of room temperature (24$^{\circ}C$), another protected above suggested times and room temperature then indirectly keeping medium temperature (1$0^{\circ}C$)6 hours. It was incubated in $25^{\circ}C$ temperature after about 20 days of restoring. Pure line and hybrid silk warm eggs are no difference hatching ratio in 72 hours blocks by restoring. Especially good hatching ratio obtained by the medium temperature treatment rather than directly restoring.
The acid treatment hatching method has been used practically for about 60 years and a number of investigators have studied about the artificial hatching for silkworm e99s, but the basic theory about the acid treatment hatching is not clarified yet. It is no exaggeration to say that the accidents of non hatching is continued ceaselessly in the silkworm egg by hydrochloric acid treatment. It is believed that the accident is due to the adulterants in HCl lather than inattention of acid treatment. Therefore, the authors mixed hydrochloric acid (analytical grade) with or added it to chemical ingredients which are possible to be included in the process of hydrochloric acid production, and treated it to summer and fall silkworm egg. The metalic adulterants such as iron, mercury, lead and arsenic are appeared not to be worried, but damage of SO$_3$ and free chlorine is seemed to lie considerable. Therefore, before acid treatment for hatching hydrochloric acid was warmed to 50$^{\circ}C$ with shaking to evaporate several injurious gases, by whick the damage due to use of hydrochloric acid for acid treatment hatching is prevented considerably. In conclusion, it is recommended to pretest bioassay with every HCl samples before artificial hatching of silkworm egg.
We investigated starvation of hatching larvae, occasional artificial hatching and incubation method to establish year-round rearing of the wild silkmoth, Antheraea yamamai. In the test of starvation of hatching larvae for brushing at a time, the survival rate of the fourth instar of larvae starved for 1 day after hatching in $25^{\circ}C\;and\;5^{\circ}C$ was 83.3% and 96.0%, respectively. The result represents that the survival rate is high at low temperature during starvation. In the occasional artificial hatching test for multi-times rearing of A. yamamai, the useful hatchability is high at $5^{\circ}C$ in case of preserving eggs for 2 months from incubation time, and at both $2.5^{\circ}C\;and\;0^{\circ}C$ in case of over 6 months. A new incubation method with pre-incubation at $15^{\circ}C$ and 24 D photoperiod showed high hatchability about 80% for only 2 days compared with hatching for 5-6 days in traditional incubation method with the preservation at $25^{\circ}C$.

This research was conducted to reveal the characteristics of breeding ecology of oriental scops owl (Otus sunia stictonotus) inhabiting in South Korea according to the nest types during the breeding season from march to October for two years (2011 and 2012). Oriental scops owl nested in woodpecker's nest holes (46.1%), natural tree holes (38.5%), and artificial wood boxes (15.4%). These nests were located on following trees: Zelkova serrata, Paulownia coreana, Celtis sinensis, Salix chaenomeloides, Salix babylonica, Fraxinus rhynchophylla, Robinia pseudoacacia and Platanus occidentalis. The hatching success was 91.4%, fledging success was 83.0%, and breeding success was 75.9%. The factors of the breeding failure were falling (57.1%), abandonment (28.6%), hatching failure (7.1%), and others with unknown cause of death (7.1%). According to nest types, the fledging success (69.2%) of woodpecker's nest holes were low and the hatching success (79.2%) of natural tree holes were also low due to hatching failure and abandonment. However, hatching success, fledging success, breeding success were high in the artificial nests as all the eggs hatched and succeeded in fledging. Therefore, we suggested that artificial nests can cover the weaknesses of natural nests as well as increasing the breeding success. However, long-term research on installation place, height, and hole sizes of the artificial nest are required in order to clearly reveal the effects on the breeding success of oriental scops owl.
The gonadsomatic index (GSI) of mottled skate was the highest in April, GSI and HSI showed a reverse phase for its reproductive cycle. The fish had one pair of egg capsules, having 1 to 7 fertilized eggs, and spawned all the year round. When surveying the reproductive characteristics of females over 63 cm in disc width, we found the spawning peak was between April to June, and the appearance ratio of egg capsules was the highest in May (32.1%). The eggs were hatched at $8^{\circ}C$, $13^{\circ}C$, $18^{\circ}C$, water temperature (12.8 to $24.2^{\circ}C$), and the best hatching temperature was $18^{\circ}C$. The number of fish hatched was 4 to 5 fish/egg capsules, and the hatching rate was 100%. The sex ratios of hatching larvae were 45.5% female and 54.5% male. Therefore this study will provide fundamental data and information for artificial reproduction of the mottled skate.
The most common cause of death is ostrich chick fading syndrome(OCFS), which is due to bacterial infection during artificial incubation and hatching. Six farmed ostrich chicks aged 3 and 10 days in Chonbuk province, were submitted to Chonbuk Livestock Development and Research Institute for necropsy, Clinically, birds showed hair loss, ocular exudate, lethargy, diarrhea, and subsequently died 3-5 days after onset of clinical signs. Grossly, umbilicus was enlarged. White-yellowish purulent nodules were scattered on the lung and the membrane of air-sac was thickened and had inflamed exudate on the surface in two chicks that died 3 days after hatching. In 10 days-old chick, intestine was shown rodding segmentally. Yolk sac was still retarded and its surface was partially hemorrahgic. The synovial fluid of the leg was yellowish. Microscopically, multifocal purulent exudates were scattered on the lung. Capillary microthrombi in the glomerulus were prominent and tubular epithelia were necrotic. Necrotic hepatocytes were scattered and intestine were congested. Microbiologically, Pseudomonas sp and/or E coli were isolated from air-sac, lung and/or liver. This case suggests that poor hygiene during artificial incubation, hatching or in the first week after hatching may cause high mortality of the ostrich chicks.
The endemic Korean stumpy bullhead Pseudobagrus brevicorpus is a first-grade endangered wild fish as designated by the Ministry of Environment of Korea. As part of its restoration and proliferation effort, a histological study of this fish was carried out to investigate sex differentiation and gonadal development based on F1 generation individuals obtained by artificial breeding. On days 4~5 after hatching, a pair of genital ridges including clusters of primordial germ cells was observed between the gut and the mesonephric duct. On days 20 after hatching, the ovary began to initially differentiate and contained early oocytes with chromatin-nucleolus and peri-nucleolus stages on days 30~40 after hatching. As yolk material accumulated after day 80 from hatching, the oocytes grew increasingly large and were surrounded by a distinct follicular layer. On days 306 after hatching, the oocytes grew toward a mature ovum. In the males, the testis was distinguished by emergence of spermatogonium cells on 25 days after hatching, and day 40 after hatching it contained a small number of seminal lobes forming cysts. From 173 days after hatching, the testis consisted of numerous enlarged seminal lobes including spermatocytes and spermatids. Over 14 months after hatching, some seminal lumens were filled with spermatozoa.
This study was carried out to produce the seedling of the larvae and juveniles of pale chup, Zacco platypus (Cyprinidae) in terms of artificial hatching, feeding behavior and growth rates. The total lengths of the newly hatched larvae were 7.6~8.2mm (mean: 7.97mm). The hatched larvae rose to the surface 3 days after hatching. The larvae were fed Daphnia, rotifer, Artemia and powdered feed. Hatching experiments were conducted in jar incubators under the different water temperature conditions, $20~32^{\circ}C$. The highest hatching rate was at $26^{\circ}C$ after 47 hours. Jar incubators was the highest hatching rate (89%), and cage and Californian incubators were useful and relatively high hatching rates (>89%). The size of the larvae 50 days after hatching were 30.0mm (25.6~32.0mm). As the water temperatures was increased, the growth rate of the larvae was also increased. Especially, the growth rates were favorable over $26^{\circ}C$, but survival was the worst at $32^{\circ}C$. This species was quick to accept assorted feed after hatching. The assorted feeds for flounder and rockfish better than that of carp in reference to growth rate.

Objective: This study was conducted to investigate the effects of the artificial shrinkage and assisted hatching (PZD; patial zona dissetion) before vitrification on the development of vitrified mouse expanding blastocyst. Methods: Mouse 2-cell embryos were collected and cultured in G1.1 and G2.2 to expanding blastocyst. For artificial shrinkage (AS) the micro injection pipette was inserted into blastocoele cavity and blastocoele fluid was aspirated. For assisted hatching (AH) PZD method was used. Control group was -AS/-AH and treatment groups were -AS/+AH, +AS/-AH and +AS/+AH. After AS and AH mouse blastocysts were equillibrated in G10 and G10E20 for 3 mins, respectively, and vitrified in G25E25 after loading on capped pulled-straw. Vitrified mouse blastocysts were thawed and cultured for 24 hrs. The survival and hatching rate was compared among one control and three treatment groups. Results: The survival rates were 99%, 92% in +AS/+AH and +AS/-AH groups and 54%, 58% in -AS/-AH and -AS/+AH group, respectively. The survival rate was significantly higher in +AS group than in -AS group (p<0.01). Hatching rates were 34%, 96% in -AS/-AH and -AS/+AH groups and 41%, 100% in +AS/-AH and +AS/+AH, respectively. The hatching rates was higher in +AH group than in -AH group (p<0.01). After thawing recovery rates were 100%. Loading on capped pulled-straw, that is effective and useful method on vitrification. Conclusion: This study showed that artificial shrinkage of blastocoele cavity and assisted hatching (PZD) significantly improved the development of the vitrified mouse expanding blastocysts.
