  • This study proposed a base framework for creating sustainable designs with textile production waste and unused neckties with the "design thinking" approach, which is an iterative process. It aimed to set an example of how fashion designers can plan and manage their clothing design processes in a more sustainable way by recycling textile production scraps and unused neckties into unique clothing pieces with the upcycling method. Unused neckties and upholstery scraps were turned into skirts, blouses, and dresses by using creative techniques in line with current fashion trends. In addition, the five-stage iterative design process followed was explained, and the way in which the waste textile materials gained value by being converted into unique garments was discussed in terms of the user and the designer. Through the study, it was observed that the smallest amount of textile waste can be transformed into upcycled clothing via the iterative process, and original, value-added products enjoyed by consumers can be created. In addition, it was observed that the design thinking approach improves the understanding of the context of the problem, creativity in the generation of insights and solutions, skills to materialize those solutions through iterative prototyping, and the ability to combine these factors. Promising ideas to help designers develop recycling strategies were also provided.

  • Social media play a significant role in communicating information across the globe, connecting with loved ones, getting the news, communicating ideas, etc. However, a group of people uses social media to spread fake information, which has a bad impact on society. Therefore, minimizing fake news and its detection are the two primary challenges that need to be addressed. This paper presents a multi-modal deep learning technique to address the above challenges. The proposed modal can use and process visual and textual features. Therefore, it has the ability to detect fake information from visual and textual data. We used EfficientNetB0 and a sentence transformer, respectively, for detecting counterfeit images and for textural learning. Feature embedding is performed at individual channels, whilst fusion is done at the last classification layer. The late fusion is applied intentionally to mitigate the noisy data that are generated by multi-modalities. Extensive experiments are conducted, and performance is evaluated against state-of-the-art methods. Three real-world benchmark datasets, such as MediaEval (Twitter), Weibo, and Fakeddit, are used for experimentation. Result reveals that the proposed modal outperformed the state-of-the-art methods and achieved an accuracy of 86.48%, 82.50%, and 88.80%, respectively, for MediaEval (Twitter), Weibo, and Fakeddit datasets.

  • In the twenty first century of rapid cultural change performing art requires new mode of expression based on imaginative power and creativity as well as establishing its own identity. The modern technological environment support this with advanced technology and bring about the expansion of reason from new experience. The introduction of digital media on artistic expression in particular, expands the physical ability of human body which is the main subject of performing art. A virtual body from digital technology is freed from physical boundaries and goes over space and time. It also suggests the possibility of new mode of communication with audience. This study aims at examining the subject of performing art and its digitalized movement focusing on EveR, the world's first professional robot actor. The robot actor which came on stage according to the new expression medium, a digital body, stands in need not only of technological value but also of cultural and artistic application for expression in art. In this endeavor to meet the demand, this study examines the development process and function of 'EveR' the robot actor. Also it searches into the performance of Ever which replaced human being as well as the historical significance of the title:the world's first. To be more specific, there is a example research on two performances:a pansori play "EveR is simply stunning(2009)" and children's play "The Robot Princess and Seven Dwarfs(2009)." Through this example research, it is enabled to anticipate the influence of robot actors on performing arts and to search for the better way of them to evolve. Furthermore, it aims at finding ways to create high value through promoting robot actors to be familiar to the public as well as supporting them to become active cultural contents. • For us who live in the 21 century, a variety of media and videos such as TV, movies, magazines, internet, etc. have now become indispensable entities. Because of changing age, unlimited sharing of information, and development of machines, fashion and ideas are rapidly conveyed and theres is also a tendency to seek after more sense based and stimulating things. Around us, there are innumerable colors which do not seem to have any special presence like the air and go beyond human ability to identify them. Such colors exert direct influence upon the visual culture and most rapidly reflect that age's trend. It is precisely from this perspective that the importance of neon colors, which have recently received the spotlight, have emerged in a magnified way. Yet, although much research has been conducted on colors by earlier studies, there has been no research on neon colors and as such, I felt the need for a study of neon colors. The purpose of this study is to recognize the importance and psychology of colors within the visual culture, discover whether there is a correlation between the characteristics of neon colors and the visual culture, and seek ways to demonstrate it by applying it to art education.

  • To analyze the design education of elementary school in the united states, the content of Discover art, one of the popular art textbooks for elementary school student, has been examined. Focusing on the developmental stage and sequential curriculum across all grades, design principles, color and criteria of design are investigated. The subjects studied are as follows: an introduction of new word or concept of design principles and color, repetition of the learning, the number of color taught, looking at products of design and making design at each grade level. The curriculum of design principles is well composed, but line, shape and form parts are redundant throughout all grades. The learning order of the color at one grade is well organized but the repetition is too much. The portion of design part is too small. It is adequate that the history of design is introduced at grade 5 where children start to learn history. However, it should be more strengthened for the continuous development of design ability. Looking at product design is introduced before grade 4, and making product design is taught just once at grade 4, although sequential learning is necessary in late elementary grades.
