This study questions the validity of Crosslinguistic Influence (CLI) in EFL Learning. A ten-minute grammaticality judgement test involving resumptive pronouns in English relative clauses was given to 15 female subjects. The research results, which were analysed in terns of language transfer and universalist arguments, support the existence of a universal process that guides L2 learning, and some common developmental patterns between the two processes of L1 and L2 learning. Hence, the universalist view should be given at least equal Weight as the CLI approach.

This paper presents the application of continuous wavelet transform for determination of dynamic parameters of continuous beam subjected to moving load. Morlet wavelet is used as mother wavelet in wavelet transform. Dynamic parameters are estimated from the magnitudes and arguments of the wavelet coefficients obtained by wavelet transforming the response time histories of joints on the beam. This study shows that the estimated parameters such as natural frequencies, dmping ratios and mode shapes are to be well-compared with those of the finite element analysis.

We study the existence and uniqueness of fixed point for isotone mappings of any number of arguments under Mizoguchi-Takahashi contraction on a complete metric space endowed with a partial order. As an application of our result we study the existence and uniqueness of the solution to integral equation. The results we obtain generalize, extend and unify several very recent related results in the literature.

Arguments in favor of cyclic servicing, as opposed to random servicing, in connection with machines which stop in a random manner, are not conclusive because hitherto no general formular has been available for calculating the results which may be expected from cyclic servicing. The aim of the following paper is to help in evaluating the cyclic procedure by presenting a formular for calculating the standard efficiency of a group of semi-automatic machines assigned to one operator who will service them on a cyclic pattern.

We consider the $P_{\lambda}^M-service$ policy for an M/G/1 queueing system in which the workload is monitored randomly at discrete points in time. If the level of the workload exceeds a threshold ${\lambda}$ when it is monitored, then the service rate is increased from 1 to M instantaneously and is kept as M until the workload reaches zero. By using level-crossing arguments, we obtain explicit expressions for the stationary distribution of the workload in the system.

본 논문에서는 한국어의 대표적 일치 현상으로 일컬어지는 존대법을 살펴보고, 영어의 일치 현상과 한국어 존대법 '일치' 현상을 동일한 차원에서 다루는데 대한 문제점을 지적한다. 적어도 최근 생성문법에서 영어나 인구어를 중심으로 도입, 활용되는 Agr과 한국어 존대법은 간과 할 수 없는 중요한 차이점이 있음을 밝힌다. 또한 존대법과 공손법 사이의 연관성을 바탕으로 하여 그 둘을 연결하는 공통의 존대요소를 설정하여 일치현상으로 설명하려 할 경우 모순이 생겨난다는 점과, 이러한 문제는 존대법 자체에도 마찬가지로 적용된다는 점을 지적한다.

This study analyses various articles on famology presented in home journals 1980. The articles show rapid growth in quantity and variety of subjects and also show high quality of research analysis methods. However only 13.5% of the articles contribute to social problems. This study claims that various arguments and analyses should be made concerning the prospect of Korean families and the family functions. Educational programs must be made for healthy families and solving family problems and of counseling and therapy. And scholars should take a role in central or local government committees to shape policies for family welfare. They should also go into the local societies for practicing their studies.

A hierarchical loglinear model comparison method is developed which is based on the well kmown partitioned likelihood ratio statistiss. For any paels, we can regard the difference of the geedness of fit statistics as the variation explained by a full model, and develop a partial test to compare a full model with a reduced model in that hierarchy. Note that this has similar arguments as that of the regression analysis.

This paper is concerned with developing a Multi-period Behavioral Model for the portfolio selection problem. The unique feature of the model is that it treats a number of factors and decision variables considered germane in decision making on an interrelated basis. The formulated problem has the structure of a Chance Constrained programming Model. Then empoloying arguments of Central Limit Theorem and normality assumption the stochastic model is reduced to that of a Non-Linear Programming Model. Finally, a number of interesting properties for the reduced model are established.

In Cretu [Fuzzy Sets and Systems 120(2001) 371-383], triangular norms and their hierarchy are investigated. In this paper, we give new proofs which are significantly shorter than those given in Cretu, applying a known result which involves only one argument of one-place rather than two place arguments by Klement et al. [FSS 86(1997) 189-195]
