This study was conducted to evaluate the effects of feeding rye silage on growth performance, blood and carcass characteristics in finishing pigs. The total of eighteen $(Landrace{\times}Yorkshire{\times}Duroc)$ pigs $(94.03\pm0.71kg)$ were used in a 28-days assay. Dietary treatments included 1) CON(commercial diet ME 3,350 kcal/kg and crude fiber $2.84\%$), 2) T1(ME 3,294kcal/kg and crude fiber $2.99\%$ diet with rye silage $1.66\%$) and 3) T2(ME 3,237kcal/kg and crude fiber $3.15\%$ with rye silage $3.32\%$). In growth performance, total feed intake, basal feed intake and average daily feed intake were significantly higher in T1 and T2 treatments than CON treatment(P<0.05). Cortisol concentration in blood of pigs fed rye silage was significantly decreased compare to pigs fed CON diet(p<0.05). In meat quality characteristics, the hunter's $L^*$ value and marbling of pork were the highest in T2 treatment among treatments (P<0.05). Fatty acid composition in lean meat, the composition of palmitic and arachidic acid were significantly Higher in CON than others(P<0.05), also, palmitoleic acid was highest in T2 treatment among treatments(P<0.05). In fats those, palmitic and arachidic acid were the highest in CON treatment than those of other treatments(P<0.05). Digestibility of dry matter and nitrogen in pigs fed T1 and T2 diets were greater than that of pigs fed CON diet(p<0.05). Propionic acid concentration of fecal was the highest in T1 treatment among treatments(P<0.05). In conclusion, feed intake, the hunter's $L^*$ value, meat color of sensory evaluation and marbling of pork were affected by $3.32\%$ rye silage feeding.

Monolayers of lipids on a water surface have attracted much interest as models of biological membranes, but also as precursors of multilayer systems promising many technical applications. Until now, many methodologies have been developed in order to gain a better understanding of the relationship between the structure and function of the monolayers. Maxwell displacement current (MDC) measurement has been employed to study the dielectric property of Langmuirfilms. MDC flowing across monolayers is analyzed using a rod-like molecular model. A linear relationship between the monolayer compression speed a and the molecular area Am. Compression speed a was about 30, 40, and 50 mm/min. Langmuir-Blodgett(LB) layers of Arachidic acid deposited by LB method were deposited onto slide glass as Y-type film. The structure of manufactured device is Aul Arachidic acid! AI, the number of accumulated layers are $9{\sim}21$. Also, we then examined of the Metal-Insulator-Metal(MIM) device by means of I-V. The I-V characteristics of the device are measured from -3 to+3 V. The insulation property of a thin film is better as the distance between electrodes is larger.

In order to examine the biofunctions of glycosylceramide which is representative of sphingolipid, monoglycosylceramide (cerebroside) was isolated from rice bran extract. Crude glycosylceramides were isolated in large quantities and promptly by flash system column chromatography from rice bran extract, and purified by normal-phase HPLC using an evaporative light-scattering detector. One major cerebroside was obtained by HPLC used as an eluent consisting of chloroform, methanol and water (99:11:1, v/v/v), and the constituents were analyzed by MALDI/TOF-MS, FAB-MS, GC and 600 MHz $^1$H-NMR. The component sugar was estimated to be glucose. In the ceramide, the fatty acid component consist was 2-hydroxy arachidic acid. The long-chain base component was sphinga-4,8-dienine.

Maxwell displacement current (MDC) measurement has been employed to study the dielectric property of Langmuir-films. MDC flowing across monolayers is analyzed using a rod-like molecular model. It is revealed that the dielectric relaxation time $\tau$ of mono layers in the isotropic polar orientational phase is determined using a liner relationship between the monolayer compression speed a and the molecular area $A_m$. Compression speed a was about 30, 40, 50mm/min. also, LB layers of Arachidic acid deposited by LB method were deposited onto slide glass as Y-type film. We fabricated tetra(5-n-nonyl-8-tert-butyl-2,3-pyrazino[2,3-b]indolo)porphyrazinato copper(II) (Cu-Pc-$C_8$) Langmuir-Blodgett (LB) films. We further investigated the influence of arachidic acid (AA) as a transfer promoter, as well as the effect of dipping speed, on the deposition of the films on hydrophilic and hydrophobic substrates. In the case of pure Cu-Pc-$C_8$ LB deposition on a hydrophilic substrate, the transfer ratio was close to one for up-stroke depositions, but the previously deposited film was peeled off and re-spread onto water at down-stroke depositions. Whereas the stability of the Cu-Pc-$C_8$ LB films was not improved by AA addition on hydrophilic substrates, the deposition of Cu-Pc-$C_8$ was significantly improved by the presence of AA on a hydrophobic substrate. The AA-assisted deposition had transfer ratio of close to 1 and was essentially stable up to 10-layer depositions. Comparison of the UV-visible spectrum of a Cu-Pc-$C_8$/AA LB film with that of Cu-Pc-$C_8$/AA solution in dichloroethane revealed that the Soret and Q bands for the Cu-Pc-$C_8$/AA LB film were broadened and red-shifted due to the aggregation of phthalocyanines upon assembly in the LB film.
The verification of genuine sesame oil can be examined by determination of the ratio of fatty acid. Fatty acids were extracted from the saponifiable substance of sesame oils. Fatty acids were methylated with the 14% boron trifluoride methanol solution and injected into a gas chromatograph with Unisole 3000 column and finally determined the molecular weight by mass spectrometry. The fatty acids in laboratory prepared sesame oils were composed mainly of oleic acid 36.7-42.8% and linoleic acid 39.0-46.6%, including palmitic acid 7.9-9.l%, stearic acid 4.1-5.6%, linoleic acid 0.1-3.0%, arachidic acid 0.5-1.0% and eicosenoic acid 0.1-0.5%. The above results allow the estimation of genuine sesame oil, mixed with rape seed oil, soybean oil, perilla oil, etc. In 53 samples, 14 samples were estimated as genuine and it was found that erucic acid was contained in 31 samples, linoeic acid was highly contained in 14, high quantity of linolenic acid was in 7 and palmitic and oleic acid were highly involved in 3.
From the bulbs of Erythronium japonicum Decaisne(Liliaceae), ${\beta}-sitosterol$ and its $3-O-{\beta}-D-glucoside$ together with fatty acids were isolated. All compounds were identified on the basis of spectral data. Campesterol and stigmasterol were also identified as minor components. Paimitic acid was identified as a major component and stearic, oleic, arachidic, behenic, tricosanoic and lignoceric acids were also characterized as minor ones.
Dendropanax morbifera Lev. leaves were collected during different seasons to analyze the chemical components. In proximate composition the leaves collected in spring had the highest moisture content and in winter had the lowest. Lipid, ash and fiber contents gradually increased from spring to winter and in winter had the highest. Protein content decreased until summer and then it increased. All of free sugars detected have gradually increased during the growing season. Unsaturated fatty acids content was higher than that of the saturated fatty acids and the major saturated and unsaturated fatty acids were arachidic acid and cis-13,16-docosadienoic acid. respectively. Fifteen free amino acids detected with arginine content being the highest regardless of season and amino acid content gradually decreased during the seasons. The highest content of mineral elements was potassium in leaves collected in spring, with calcium was the highest in leaves picked in other seasons. Vitamin C content was gradually decreased over the growing season and soluble tannin content increased notably.
