  • Inspired by the principle of the open market, a future network service model is forced to permit a much greater degree of flexibility, reconfigurability, programmability, protability and maintainability in telecommunication infrastructure. In this paper, one of standardization activities for the open programmable network model, IEEE standardization project P1520 (Application Programming Interfaces for Networks), is discussed.

전자상거래 보안 인터페이스를 위한 CSSM API의 적용방안에 대한 연구 (A Study on applying the CSSM API for Security Interface to Electronic Commerce)

  • 전자상거래 활동은 인터넷과 같은 안전하지 않은 공중망을 사용하기 때문에 많은 보안 위협요소들이 존재한다. 따라서, 다양한 형태의 보안 어플리케이션들이 안전한 전자상거래의 구현을 위하여 CAPI(Cryptographic Application Programming Interface)가 사용될 것으로 예상된다. CAPI는 각 수준별 암호 서비스와 다양한 보안 서비스들을 제공한다. CSSM API는 다른 CAPI들에 비하여 모듈성, 단순성, 다양한 Add-in 모듈과 인터페이스에 의한 확장성을 제공한다. 본 논문은 다른 CAPI와 CSSM API의 비교분석과 전자상거래에 다양한 확장성과 멀티플랫폼을 지원하는 CSSM API의 적용 방안을 제안한다. CSSM API CSP 인터페이스의 암호화, 디지털서명 오퍼레이션에 대하여 기술하고, 전자상거래 위협요소에 대응한 보안 서비스의 연관관계로 CSSM API 적용에 따른 안전성 평가를 하였다.

Collapse behaviour of three-dimensional brick-block systems using non-linear programming

  • A two-step procedure for the application of non linear constrained programming to the limit analysis of rigid brick-block systems with no-tension and frictional interface is implemented and applied to various masonry structures. In the first step, a linear problem of programming, obtained by applying the upper bound theorem of limit analysis to systems of blocks interacting through no-tension and dilatant interfaces, is solved. The solution of this linear program is then employed as initial guess for a non linear and non convex problem of programming, obtained applying both the 'mechanism' and the 'equilibrium' approaches to the same block system with no-tension and frictional interfaces. The optimiser used is based on the sequential quadratic programming. The gradients of the constraints required are provided directly in symbolic form. In this way the program easily converges to the optimal solution even for systems with many degrees of freedom. Various numerical analyses showed that the procedure allows a reliable investigation of the ultimate behaviour of jointed structures, such as stone masonry structures, under statical load conditions.

  • In this paper, a user application based on ZigBee is developed using UML. Conventional development procedure for an application using ZigBee stack requires a tremendous effort, since a developer has to study programming interfaces and analyze sample code to modify and add necessary code. In this study, a sample user application based on ZigBee is modeled using UML and embedded software code is generated using an automatic code generation tool. If the application development method using UML proposed in this paper is used, it is possible for a user to easily develop an application using powerful notations of UML diagrams without paying attention to the details of complex programming code.

  • This paper discusses the applicability of the decomposition principle to an LP (Linear Programming) problem. Through a case study on product mix problems in a chemical process of Korean Steel Chemical Co., Ltd., the decomposition algorithm, LP Simplex method and a modified method are compared and evaluated in computation time and number of iterations.

  • A transputer is a powerful micro-processor, which can communicate with other processors with its own communication links and can be utilized into a powerful parallel computer system with easy way and low price. However, its usage has been limited to a few people because of its own programming language and complicated user interfaces. This paper presents programming tools to use a transputer system easily. It includes transputer integrated environment which has many developing tools, and transputer manager which can monitor and manage the system and developed programs on it. We also implemented a graphichs application program in order to test the feasibility and funcitonalities of programmers easy access to the transputer networks and visualize the performance status of each processor so that they can write efficient parallel programming codes.

  • 그리드 포탈 서비스는 기존의 어플리케이션 기반 그리드 서비스가 갖는 시간적 공간적 제약을 극복하여 보다 유연한 연구 환경을 제공한다. 그러나 사용자 인터페이스와 같은 사용자 요구 사항은 개발 기간 동안 불분명하기도 하고 자주 변하기도 한다. 그러므로 그리드 서비스를 위한 사용자 인터페이스를 만들고 유지 관리하는 비용을 줄일 수 있는 방안이 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 유저 인터페이스 개발이 보다 쉽고 코드의 재사용률을 증가시킬 수 있는 객체 기반의 컨트롤 모델을 제안한다. 이 모델에서는 프레젠테이션 페이지의 구조를 보다 명확히 기술할 수 있고 액션들을 구현하는 것이 보다 쉽고 간단하다.

  • This paper reports on the application of the integration of mathematical programming model and database in a decision support system (DSS) for the planning of the multi-reservoir operating system. The DSS is based on a multi-objective, mixed-integer goal programming (MIGP) model, which can generate efficient solutions via the weighted-sums method (WSM). The major concern of this study is seamless, efficient integration between the mathematical model and the database, because there are significant differences in structure and content between the data for a mathematical model and the data for a conventional database application. In order to load the external optimization results on the database, we developed a systematic way of naming variable/constraint so that a rapid identification of variables/constraints is possible. An efficient database structure for planning of the multi-reservoir operating system is presented by taking advantage of the naming convention of the variable/constraint.

  • This paper describes a real-time EtherCAT Master library. The library is developed using Xenomai. Xenomai is a real-time development framework. It cooperates with the Linux kernel, in order to provide a pervasive, interface-agnostic, hard real-time support to user-space applications, seamlessly integrated into the GNU/Linux environment. The proposed master library implements EtherCAT protocol for master side, and supports Application Programming Interfaces(APIs) for programming of real-time application which controls EtherCAT slave.
