In this study, Ocean General Circulation Model (OGCM) has been developed as a counterpart of Atmospheric General Circulation (AGCM) for the study of coupled ocean-atmosphere climate system. The oceanic responses to given atmospheric boundary conditions have been investigated using the OGCM. In an integration carried out over 100 simulated years with climatological monthly mean data (EXP 1), most parts of the model reached a quasi-equilibrium climate reproducing many of the observed large-scale oceanic features remarkably well. Some observed narrow currents, however, such as North Equatorial Counter Current, were inevitably distorted due to the model's relatively coarse resolution. The seasonal changes in sea ice cover over the southern oceans around Antarctica were also simulated. In an experiment (EXP 2) under boundary condition of 10-year monthly data (1982-1991) from NCEP/NCAR Reanalysis Project model properly reproduced major oceanic changes during the period, including El Ni$\tilde{n}$os of 1982-1983 and 1986-87. During the ENSO periods, the experiment showed eastward expansion of warm surface waters and a negative vertical velocity anomalies along' the equator in response to expansion of westerly current velocity anomalies as westerly wind anomalies propagated eastward. Simulated anomalous distribution and the time behavior in response to El Ni$\tilde{n}$o events is consistent with that of the observations. These experiments showed that the model has an ability to reproduce major mean and anomalous oceanic features and can be effectively used for the study of ocean-atmosphere coupling system.
Powder diffraction patterns of the zeolite mesolite ($Na_{5.33}Ca_{5.33}Al_{16}Si_{24}O_{80}{\cdot}21.33H_2O$), with a natrolite framework topology were measured as a function of pressure up to 5.0 GPa using a diamond-anvil cell and a $200{\mu}m$-focused monochromatic synchrotron X-ray. Under the hydrostatic conditions mediated by pore-penetrating alcohol and water mixture, the elastic behavior of mesolite is characterized by continuous volume expansion between ca. 0.5 and 1.5 GPa, which results from expansion in the ab-plane and contraction along the c-axis. Subsequent to this anomalous behavior, changes in the powder diffraction patterns suggest possible reentrant order-disorder transition. The ordered layers of sodium- and calcium-containing channels in a 1:2 ratio along the b-axis attribute to the $3b_{natrolite}$ cell below 1.5 GPa. When the volume expansion is completed above 1.5 GPa, such characteristic ordering reflections disappear and the $b_{natrolite}$ cell persists with marginal volume contraction up to ca. 2.5 GPa. Further increase in pressure leads to progressive volume contraction and appears to generate another set of superlattice reflections in the $3c_{natrolite}$ cell. This suggests that mesolite in the pressure-induced hydration state experiences order-disorder-order transition involving the motions of sodium and calcium cations either through cross-channel diffusion or within the respective channels.
Interest about social security has recently increased in favor of safety for infrastructure. In addition, advances in computer vision and pattern recognition research are leading to video-based surveillance systems with improved scene analysis capabilities. However, such video surveillance systems, which are controlled by human operators, cannot actively cope with dynamic and anomalous events, such as having an invader in the corporate, commercial, or public sectors. For this reason, intelligent surveillance systems are increasingly needed to provide active social security services. In this study, we propose a core technique for intelligent surveillance system that is based on swarm robot technology. We present techniques for invader enclosing using swarm robots based on multiple distributed object environment. The proposed methods are composed of three main stages: location estimation of the object, specified object tracking, and decision of the cooperative behavior of the swarm robots. By using particle filter, object tracking and location estimation procedures are performed and a specified enclosing point for the swarm robots is located on the interactive positions in their coordinate system. Furthermore, the cooperative behaviors of the swarm robots are determined via the result of path navigation based on the combination of potential field and wall-following methods. The results of each stage are combined into the swarm robot-based invader-enclosing technique on multiple distributed object environments. Finally, several simulation results are provided to further discuss and verify the accuracy and effectiveness of the proposed techniques.
Current study was undertaken to explain the structural evolution and corresponding changes in the properties of calcium aluminate glasses with the variation of SiO2 doping concentration. Calcium aluminate glasses in the compositional ranges of (100-x)(0.6CaO+0.4Al2O3)+xSiO2(where x=0~60) were fabricated. DTA analysis confirmed an anomalous behavior in glass transition temperature (Tg) with the maximum of 887$^{\circ}C$ and minimum of 859$^{\circ}C$ when x=5 and 50, respectively. densities and refractive indices monotonically decreased with increasing SiO2 content and IR transmitting cutoff shifted to shorter wavelength side when the amount of added SiO2 exceeded 5 mole%. IR fundamental vibration absorption peaks showed the change that NBOs were inclined to SiO4 tetrahedron in the low-silica region and NBO per SiO4 tetrahedra changed from 2 to 0 with increasing silica content. Based on the analysis of IR fundamental vibration absorption peaks, the model of the structural change can be proposed in three step: 1) SiO4 scavenged the NBOs located at AlO4-tetrahedra, which resulted in the increased of Tg values, 2) NBOs located in the main network again with a decrease in Tg, and 3) dominated by the decrease in the relative amount of NBOs in the glass system, where Tg re-increased.

Recently, the trial and success of malicious cyber attacks has been increased rapidly with spreading of Internet and the activation of a internet shopping mall and the supply of an online internet, so it is expected to make a problem more and more. Currently, the general security system based on Internet couldn't cope with the attack properly, if ever, other regular systems have depended on common softwares to cope with the attack. In this paper, we propose the positive selection mechanism and negative selection mechanism of T-cell, which is the biological distributed autonomous system, to develop the self/non-self recognition algorithm, the anomalous behavior detection algorithm, and AIS (Artificial Immune System) that is easy to be concrete on the artificial system. The proposed algorithm can cope with new intrusion as well as existing one to intrusion detection system in the network environment.

Electroluminescent(EL) devices based on organic thin films have attracted lots of interests in large-area light-emitting display. One of the problems of such device is a lifetime, where a degradation of the cell is possibly due to an organic layers thickness, morphology and interface with electrode. In this study, light-omitting organic electroluminescent devices were fabricated using Alq$_3$(8-hydroxyquinolinate aluminum) and TPD(N,N'-diphenyl-N,N'-bis(3-methylphenyl(1-1\`-biphenyl]-4,4'-diamine). Where Alq$_3$ is an electron-transport and emissive layer, TPD is a hole-transport layer. The cell structure is ITO/TPD/Alq$_3$/Al and the cell is fabricated by vacuum evaporation method. In a measurement of current-voltage characteristics, we obtained a turn-on voltage at about 9 V. We also investigated stability of the devices using buffer layer with blend of PEI (Poly ether imide) and TPD by varying mot ratios between ITO and Alq$_3$. In current-voltage characteristics measurement, we obtained the turn-on voltage at about 6 V and observed an anomalous behavior at 3∼4 V. And we used other buffer layer of PEDT(3,4-pyrazino-3',4'-ethylenedithio-2,2',5,5'-tetrathiafulvalenium) with ITO/PEDT/TPD/Alq$_3$Al structure. We observed a surface morphology by AFM(Atomic Force Microscopy), UV/visible absorption spectrum, and PL(Photoluminescence) spectrum. We obtained the UV/visible absorption peak at 358nm in TPD and at 359nm in Alq$_3$, and the PL peaks at 410nm in TPD and at 510nm in Alq$_3$. We also studied EL spectrum in the cell structure of ITO/(TPD+PEI)/Alq$_3$/Al.
In this study, we investigated the current saturation which forces the apparent resistivity to converge when the conductivity contrast between the anomalous body and background medium is greater than a specific value. Analizing theoretical and numerical solutions for some simple models, we studied the behavior of the surface charge, and how the surface charge cause the current saturation and finally lead to the convergence of the apparent resistivity in the resistivity method. As a consequence of above analysis, we verified that the current saturation makes the apparent resistivity converge to a specific value and the magnitude of the apparent resistivity anomaly be less than that of the ideal conductor or insulator in the resistivity method. In general, current saturation is considered to occur when the conductivity contrast becomes larger than 100.

$^1H$ NMR spectra for monocyanide ligated ferriprotoporphyrin(hemin) complex and dicyanide coordinated hemin complex in dimethylsulfoxide(DMSO-$d_6$) solution have been recorded and analyzed. NMR spectra of hemin-cyanide complexation in DMSO-$d_6$ exhibit that the cyanide ligation to hemin is temperature-dependent. Thermodynamic parameters for the monocyanide ligated hemin to dicyanide ligated hemin are consistent with endothermic process with ${\Delta}H^{\circ}=736.6cal/mol$ and ${\Delta}S^{\circ}=16.4eu$. Detailed analysis of the anomalous deviation from Curie behavior for CN/DMSO coordinated hemin complex demonstrates the presence of a high spin character, and this weaker axial field relative to the purely low-spin dicyanide hemin complex is supposed to attribute to instantaneously ruptured iron-DMSO bond. This complex may serve as a useful model to characterize electronic/molecular structure of hemoproteins, which one of axial ligands is weak.

The hypothesis that three classes of water exist in hydrogels, namely X water (free water-like), Z-water (bound water-like), and Y water (interfacial water-like), has been verified and generally accepted. To further check the validity of this hypothesis and to study the nature of X, Y, and Z water as conformation changes, several experiments have been done using Tactic Poly(2-hydroxyethyl methacrylate) (P-HEMA) gels. Thermal expansively data for tactic P-HEMA gel was obtained. In each case of isotactic and syndiotactic P-HEMA, the higher water content gels showed an extremely sharp volume change at $0^{\circ}C$, indicating the presence of normal free water-like. Lower water content gels showed no anomalous change in thermal expansion, indicating that the water is bound water-like. The medium water content gels exhibited intermediate behavior. These results were also confirmed by bulk gel conductivity measurments. The differential scanning calorimeter(DSC) experiment was simply introduced to further verify the bound water-like quantities which was obtained by the method of dilatometry and specific conductivity. Observing the amounts of X, Y, and Z water with the change of tacticity, the similar content of bound water-like may be due to the same primary structure of isotactic and syndiotactic polymer and the difference in free and interfacial water-like content may be due to the difference in secondary and tertiary structure of tactic polymer. Therefore, as the polymer conformation varies, the free and interfacial water-like content will be varied. In order to demonstrate these concepts, Russel et al.'s CPK space-filling molecular models of isotactic and syndiotactic P-HEMA was utilized.

ZnO nanorods were grown on Au-coated Si substrates by vapor phase transport (VPT) at the growth temperature of $600^{\circ}C$ using a mixture of zinc oxide and graphite powders as source material. Au thin films with the thickness of 5 nm were deposited by ion sputtering. Temperature-dependent photoluminescence (PL) was carried out to investigate the optical properties of the ZnO nanorods. Five peaks at 3.363, 3.327, 3.296, 3.228, and 3.143 eV, corresponding to the free exciton (FX), neutral donor bound exciton ($D^{\circ}X$), first order longitudinal optical phonon replica of free exciton (FX-1LO), FX-2LO, and FX-3LO emissions, were obtained at low-temperature (10 K). The intensity of these peaks decreased and their position was red shifted with the increase in the temperature. The FX emission peak energy of the ZnO nanorods exhibited an anomalous behavior (red-blue-red shift) with the increase in temperature. This is also known as an "S-shaped" emission shift. The thermal activation energy for the exciton with increasing temperature in the ZnO nanorods is found to be about 26.6 meV; the values of Varshni's empirical equation fitting parameters are = $5{\times}10^{-4}eV/K$, ${\beta}=350K$, and $E_g(0)=3.364eV$.
