A reliable analytic model that determines the cross sectional shape of a workpiece(material) in round-oval(or oval-round) pass sequence has been developed. the cross sectional shape of an outgoing workpiece is predicted by using the linear interpolation of the radius of curvature of an incoming workpiece and that of roll groove to the roll axis direction. The requirements we placed on the choice of the weighting function were to ensure boundary conditions specified. The validity of the analytic model has been examined by hot rod rolling experiment with the roll gap and specimen size changed. The cross sectional shape and area of a workpiece predicted by the proposed analytic model were good agreement with those obtained experimentally. It was found that the analytic model has not only simplicity and accuracy for practical usage but also save a large amount of computational time compared with finite element method.
Let V be an arbitrary system of weights on an open connected subset G of ${\mathbb{C}}^N(N{\geq}1)$ and let B (E) be the Banach algebra of all bounded linear operators on a Banach space E. Let $HV_b$ (G, E) and $HV_0$ (G, E) be the weighted locally convex spaces of vector-valued analytic functions. In this paper, we characterize self-analytic mappings ${\phi}:G{\rightarrow}G$ and operator-valued analytic mappings ${\Psi}:G{\rightarrow}B(E)$ which generate weighted composition operators and invertible weighted composition operators on the spaces $HV_b$ (G, E) and $HV_0$ (G, E) for different systems of weights V on G. Also, we obtained compact weighted composition operators on these spaces for some nice classes of weights.
In this paper, we introduce the integral operator $I_{\beta}$($p_1$, ${\ldots}$, $p_n$; ${\alpha}_1$, ${\ldots}$, ${\alpha}_n$)(z) analytic functions with positive real part. The radius of convexity of this integral operator when ${\beta}$ = 1 is determined. In particular, we get the radius of starlikeness and convexity of the analytic functions with Re {f(z)/z} > 0 and Re {f'(z)} > 0. Furthermore, we derive sufficient condition for the integral operator $I_{\beta}$($p_1$, ${\ldots}$, $p_n$; ${\alpha}_1$, ${\ldots}$, ${\alpha}_n$)(z) to be analytic and univalent in the open unit disc, which leads to univalency of the operators $\int\limits_0^z(f(t)/t)^{\alpha}$dt and $\int\limits_0^z(f'(t))^{\alpha}dt$.
In this paper, we are concerned with the pointwise-hypoellipticity (see Definition 2.1) of an m-dimensional Frobenious Lie algebra L of analytic complex vector fields in somel open subset .ohm. of $R^{m+1}$. That is, L is a set of complex vector fields in .ohm. with (real-) analytic coefficients satisfying: (A) each point of .ohm. has an open neighborhood in which L is generated by m linearly independent elements of L; (B) L is closed under the commutation bracket [A, B]. The pointwise-analytic hypoellipticity of L is completely characterized by M.S. Baouendi and F. Treves in [1]. Here, we shall prove that if L is hypoelliptic at a point then it must be analytic hypoelliptic in a full neighborhood of the same point. When the coefficients are $C^{\infty}$, hypoellipticity of L was discussed in [2].2].
When a fault occurs in a power system, the existing analytic models for the power system fault diagnosis could generate multiple solutions under the condition of one or more protective relays (PRs) and/or circuit breakers (CBs) malfunctioning, and/or an alarm or alarms of these PRs and/or CBs failing. Therefore, this paper presents an improved analytic model addressing the above problem. It takes into account the interaction between the uncertainty involved with PR operation and CB tripping and the uncertainty of the alarm reception, which makes the analytic model more reasonable. In addition, the existing analytic models apply the penalty function method to deal with constraints, which is influenced by the artificial setting of the penalty factor. In order to avoid the penalty factor's effects, this paper transforms constraints into an objective function, and then puts forward an improved immune clonal multi-objective optimization algorithm to solve the optimal solution. Finally, the cases of the power system fault diagnosis are served for demonstrating the feasibility and efficiency of the proposed model and method.
We confirm the validity of the analytic expression for the temperature of the Joule heated nano-wire [C.-Y. You et al. Appl. Phys. Lett. 89, 222513 (2006)] with finite element method. The temperature of the Joule heated nano-wire is essential information for the research of the current induced domain wall movement. The analytic expression includes an adjustable parameter which must be determined. Since the physical origin of the adjustable parameter is simplification of the heat source profile, the validity of the analytic expression must be examined for wide range of the nano-wire structure. By comparison with this analytic expression with the results of full numerical finite element method, the adjustable parameter has been determined. The numerically confirmed adjustable parameter values are in the range of 0.60$\sim$0.69, which is well matched with the theoretically expected one. Furthermore, it is found that the adjustable parameter is a slow varying function of the nano-wire geometry. Based on this numerical confirmation, we can apply the analytic expression for the wide range of the nano-wire geometry with proper adjustable parameters.

An analytic solution to the mild-slope equation is derived for waves propagating over an axi-symmetric pit. The water depth inside the pit varies in proportion to a power of radial distance from the pit center. The governing equation is transformed into ordinary differential equations by using separation of variables, and the coefficients of the equations are transformed into explicit forms by using Hunt's (1979) approximate solution. Finally, by using the Frobenius series, the analytic solution is derived. Due to the feature of Hunt's equation, the present analytic solution is accurate in shallow and deep waters, while it is less accurate in intermediate depth water. The validity of the analytic solution is demonstrated by comparison with numerical solutions. The analytic solution is also used to examine the effects of pit geometry and relative depth on wave transformation.
For prompt gamma ray imaging for biomedical applications and environmental radiation monitoring, we propose herein a multiple-scattering Compton camera (MSCC). MSCC consists of three or more semiconductor layers with good energy resolution, and has potential for simultaneous detection and differentiation of multiple radio-isotopes based on the measured energies, as well as three-dimensional (3D) imaging of the radio-isotope distribution. In this study, we developed an analytic simulator and a 3D image generator for a MSCC, including the physical models of the radiation source emission and detection processes that can be utilized for geometry and performance prediction prior to the construction of a real system. The analytic simulator for a MSCC records coincidence detections of successive interactions in multiple detector layers. In the successive interaction processes, the emission direction of the incident gamma ray, the scattering angle, and the changed traveling path after the Compton scattering interaction in each detector, were determined by a conical surface uniform random number generator (RNG), and by a Klein-Nishina RNG. The 3D image generator has two functions: the recovery of the initial source energy spectrum and the 3D spatial distribution of the source. We evaluated the analytic simulator and image generator with two different energetic point radiation sources (Cs-137 and Co-60) and with an MSCC comprising three detector layers. The recovered initial energies of the incident radiations were well differentiated from the generated MSCC events. Correspondingly, we could obtain a multi-tracer image that combined the two differentiated images. The developed analytic simulator in this study emulated the randomness of the detection process of a multiple-scattering Compton camera, including the inherent degradation factors of the detectors, such as the limited spatial and energy resolutions. The Doppler-broadening effect owing to the momentum distribution of electrons in Compton scattering was not considered in the detection process because most interested isotopes for biomedical and environmental applications have high energies that are less sensitive to Doppler broadening. The analytic simulator and image generator for MSCC can be utilized to determine the optimal geometrical parameters, such as the distances between detectors and detector size, thus affecting the imaging performance of the Compton camera prior to the development of a real system.
This paper shows the analytic error caused by the inconsistency of the approximation order between the non local boundary condition (NLBC) and the parabolic governing equation. To obtain the analytic error, we first transform the NLBC to the half space domain using plane wave analysis. Then, the analytic error is derived on the boundary between the true numerical domain and the half space domain equivalent to the NLBC. The derived analytic error is physically expressed as the artificial reflection. We examine the characteristic of the analytic error for the grazing angle, the approximation order of the PE or the NLBC. Our main contribution is to present the analytic method of error estimation and the application limit for the high order parabolic equation and the NLBC.
This study is about offering quantitatively analytic frame of streetscape, and also about making a way to be standardized and adapt changing landscape. This allows us to manage a form of elevation map after the application to GIS. The form of elevation map is a visible and vertical arrangement method of data recognizable while walking or driving. Applying measurable traits enables us to make a quantitative control over each element of which streetscape consists. After all, it would play a great roll in organizing and maintaining fine streetscape of each city. As the basic ways to make the elevation map, this study proposes the methods of providing quantitative analytic frame of streetscape after applying elevation data, Raster Data and Vector Data, which were investigated on the basis of GIS. In addition, as a simulation for increasing reality, certain streets, where the streetscape is very important, were chosen so that they enable us to utilize quantitatively analytic data of streetscape with analyzing the +degree of opening ratio in the boundary of D/H=2, comparing between wall area and windowpane area, comparing between facade area and sign board area, and calculating both area and ratio which are applied to ecospace.
