  • There exist a number of information systems planning (ISP) methodologies. Historically these methodologies have been evolving to reflect new technologies and business requirements. In fact, it is an uneasy task to select a methodology that fits a business need. Though there have been a number of studies proposing new ISP approaches, we are unable to find much research doing a comparative analysis on existing ISP methodologies. Our study, therefore, is to present a classification scheme for ISP approaches and to provide a guideline framework for selecting an approach most suitable to a particular firm's need. Our classification utilizes types of components covered in ISP deliverables and the peculiarity of these components. Such classification scheme and selection framework would help derive an IT-driven new enterprise model more effectively.

  • In evaluating the individual Plant Examination of Seismic Events, two methodologies, Seismic Probabilistic Risk Assessment(SPRA) and Seismic Margin Assessment(SMA) can be used. SPRA is based on the probubilistic approach and SMA is based on the deterministic approach in evaluating seismic capacities. In this paper, by evaluating the seismic capacities of the same component by these two approaches respectively, the correlation of two methodologies can be shown. In addition, the meaning of HCLPF(High Confidence of Low Probability of Failure) values that are inherent in these two methodologies is recognized by the quantitative comparison analysis.

  • Even though the types of ramp facilities in Korea are not various like other countries operations in these sections are very important because ramp merging and /or diverging flow affects freeway overall sections. In this study existing methodologies especially the gap acceptance model and the regression model in USHCM are evaluated with our field data. By gap acceptance model the merging capacity is founded 2.360 pcph which is increased by 7% than the capacity of freeway basic section. And in comparison of actual lane 1 volume to the estimation volume by HCM model the model slightly overestimates the actual volue.

  • In this paper, we reviewed the evaluation methodologies of railway project considering the benefit incidence. Generally railway projects are much more reduced tile energy consumption, traffic accident and environmental pollution than road projects. But conventional B/C analysis of railway project does not measured including those benefits. Also there is a few attention to an incidence of benefits producing from railway construction. So we developed the evaluation method of railway project contained the railway oriented benefits and also considered of the benefit incidence producing from railway construction.

  • Nanomanipulators installed in focused ion beam (FIB), which is used in the lift-out of lamella when preparing transmission electron microscopy specimens, have recently been employed for electrical resistance measurements, tensile and compression tests, and in situ reactions. During the pick-up process of a single nanowire (NW), there are crucial problems such as Pt, C and Ga contaminations, damage by ion beam, and adhesion force by electrostatic attraction and residual solvent. On the other hand, many empirical techniques should be considered for successful pick-up process, because NWs have the diverse size, shape, and angle on the growth substrate. The most important one in the in-situ precedence, therefore, is to select the optimum pick-up process of a single NW. Here we provide the advanced methodologies when manipulating NWs for in-situ mechanical and electrical measurements in FIB.

  • This paper introduces the concepts of UML(Unified Modeling Language) and the applying this technique for implementing voltage stability analysis program. Conventional function-oriented software development methodologies are inadequate to support further maintenance and enhancement. To overcome drawbacks of these methodologies, this paper proposes applying object-oriented technology for voltage stability evaluation software development. In this paper, a modal analysis approach, a steady-state voltage stability evaluation method, is used and UML is applied to the analysis and design for software development.

  • Common problems have been observed in the existing Information Requirements Analysis (IRA) methodologies such as BSP(IBM), CSF(Rockart), or ISP(Information Engineering), etc. These methodologies require too much time and human resources for the IRA process, involves high complexity, and their IRA outcomes are frequently biased by the subjective views of the people involved. In this paper, we introduce a new methodology for the enterprise wide information requirements analysis utilizing templates and nine closed-ended questions. Extending the BIAIT(Business Information Analysis and Integration Technique) method, this methodology presents nine question about each firm's order type(7Q's for customer side and 2Q's for supplier side) to derive information processing characteristics of the firms. As the central component of this methodology, data and process templates for the manufacturing industry were established. To validate the methodology, suitability of the data and process templates were examined through six real world business cases.

  • Computer science and computing technologies are applied into mathematical, science, medical, engineering and educational applications. The models are used to solve the issues in all the domains. Educational systems are used top down, bottom up, Gap Analysis model in the educational learning system. Educational learning process integrated with Lerner, content and the methodology. The Learners and content are same in the educational system or similar courses but the teaching methodologies are differing one with another. The determinations of teaching methodologies are based on the factors related to that particular model or subject. The learning model influencing determinations are made by the surveys, analysis and observation of data to maximize the learning outcome. This paper attempted to evaluate the SNE learners cognitive using NASA Scaling.

  • This study conducted a comparative analysis of dose evaluations for ingestion of animal products based on data from nuclear power plants in the Republic of Korea, using methodologies from the Republic of Korea, 'IAEA TRS-472', and 'CSA N288.1:14'. The research focused on tritium, the most significant constituent among the gaseous and liquid radioactive emissions. The combined evaluation of tritium, in the form of tritiated water (HTO) and organically bound tritium (OBT), yielded results of 1.143 μSv y-1 for the Republic of Korea, 0.965μSv y-1 for 'TRS-472', and 0.886μSv y-1 for 'N288.1:14'. Despite the Republic of Korea's guidelines not considering OBT, the evaluation results for the Republic of Korea were higher compared to other methodologies. This discrepancy was attributed to the unique approach of not considering the moisture content per individual in the calculations of plant and feed concentration in the Republic of Korea and the simultaneous consideration of specific-activity model and transfer model. The study highlights the necessity of developing dose evaluation models tailored to regional characteristics and underscores the importance of including OBT in these evaluations.
