질소원의 종류 및 농도가 참깨 위조병균(Fusarium oxysporum f. vasinfectum)의 생육에 미치는 영향 (Effects of nitrgen source and rate on the growth of the sesame-wilt fungus, Fusarium oxysporum f. vasinfectum (Atk). Snyder et Hansen)

  • 우리나라에서 참깨나 목화에 기생하여 위조병을 일으키는데 Fusarium oxsporum f. vasinfectum의 생육에 미치는 질소원의 종류 및 농도의 영향을 구명하고자 본연구에 착수하였다. 본연구의 결과로부터 질소원의 종류 및 농도의 차이가 Fusarium oxysporum f. vasinfectum의 생육에 큰 영향을 미친다는 것을 알았다. 공시한 4종의 질소원 중에서 Nitrate N나 Urea N가 Ammonia N 또는 Ammonium and Nitrate N 보다 공시균의 생육에 대하여 더욱 알맞는 질소원이었다. 그 중에서도 Nirtrate N는 타른 N원보다 훨씬 넓은 농도범위에서 본균에 의하여 이용되므로 가장 알맞는 질소원이라고 할 수 있다. 한편 Ammonia N는 공시균의 균계생장이나 포자형성의 현저한 감소와 더불어 기형적인 파형균총 또는 염주상균계세포를 농도에 관계없이 형성하므로 질소원으로서의 이용가치가 거의 없다. Ammonia N가 공시균의 생육에 미치는 영향은 파형균총 또는 염주상균계형성으로 보아 Phenoxy 화합물이 타른 진균의 생육에 미치는 영향과 흡사하다. Ammonium and Nitrate N도 50meg. 이상의 농도에서 공시균의 균계생장 또는 포자형성을 감소시키는 한편 파형균총과 같은 이상생육이 다소간음폐되기는 하나 적제 Ammonia N에서 유래하는 파형균총을 유기하므로 알맞는 질소원이라고 생각할 수 없다. 따라서 Ammonia N 단독 또는 타질소원과 Ammonia N의 결합태는 Fusarium oxysporum f. vasifectum의 생육을 위한 질소원으로서는 부적당하다.

부산 도심지역 대기중 입자상물질의 크기분포에 따른 수용성 이온성분의 특성 (Size Distribution Characteristics of Water-soluble Ionic Components in Airborne Particulate Matter in Busan)

  • This study was conducted to investigate size distribution characteristics of water-soluble ionic components in the airborne particulate matter (PM) collected from an urban area in Busan using a MOUDI cascade impactor from March to October 2010. The inorganic constituents in the fine particles (${\leq}1.8{\mu}m$) predominantly consisted of sulfate, nitrate, ammonium, and potassium. Sulfate and ammonium concentrations showed a high correlation and similar equivalent concentrations in the fine modes including $0.18{\sim}0.32{\mu}m$, $0.32{\sim}0.56{\mu}m$, and $0.56{\sim}1.0{\mu}m$. This indicates that the main chemical component in the fine particles would be forms of ammonium sulfate such as $(NH_4)_3H(SO_4)_2$, $(NH_4)_2SO_4$, and $(NH_4)HSO_4$. Back trajectory analysis showed that relatively higher concentrations of ammonium, nitrate, and sulfate in the fine mode, compared to the coarse mode, are caused both by domestic sources and long-range transports originated from China continent. High concentration episodes of PM both in the fine mode and the coarse mode were attributed both by anthropogenic sources, such as ship emissions and traffic emissions, and by natural sources such as seawater (sea salt), respectively.

꼬막 패각으로 제조한 젖산칼슘과 구연산칼슘의 순도 향상에 대한 연구 (Purity Improvement of Calcium Lactate and Calcium Citrate Prepared with Shell of Anadarac tegillarca granosa)

  • 꼬막 패각 회화분을 이용하여 칼슘 보조제로서 사용 할 수 있는 젖산칼슘과 구연산칼슘을 제조하였으며, ammonium chloride process(ACP) ammonium nitrate process(ANP)법을 적용하여 이들의 순도를 높이기 위한 실험을 하였다. 꼬막 패각 회화분을 젖산용액과 구연산용액과 반응시켜 얻은 젖산칼슘과 구연산칼슘의 순도는 각 용액의 농도에 따라 각각 $94.35-96.72\%$$87.58-93.06\%$이었다. 꼬막 패각 회화분에 ACP법 혹은 ANP법을 적용하여 정제한 탄산칼슘으로 제조한 젖산칼슘과 구연산칼슘의 순도는 각 용액의 농도에 따라 각각 $99.53-100.34\%$$99.32-99.88\%$를 나타내어 꼬막 패각 회화분을 직접 이용하여 제조한 것보다 순도가 상당히 높아졌으며, 식품첨가물공전의 규격기준에 적합한 칼슘제제를 얻을 수 있었다 꼬막 패각 회화분으로 제조한 젖산칼슘과 구연산칼슘의 백색도는 각각 91.8과 92.9이었으나 ACP법 혹은 ANP법을 적용한 경우는 각각 94.8-98.5와 99.4-101.5로서 높은 값을 나타내었다. 따라서 폐기물로 버려지는 꼬막 패각 회화분에 ACP법과 ANP법을 적용하여 정제한 탄산칼슘으로 제조한 젖산칼슘과 구연산칼슘은 순도와 백색도에서 우수한 것으로 판단되었다.

광주지역 미세먼지의 화학적 조성이 시정에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구 (The Effect on Visibility of the Chemical Composition of Fine Particles in the Gwangju Area)

  • Objectives: The purpose of this study is to investigate the main cause of visibility impairment by analyzing the contributions of the light extinction coefficient of major air pollution components and the change of the light extinction coefficient by relative humidity. Methods: The characteristics of the light extinction coefficient calculated by the photochemical method using fine particle component data measured in 2015 in the Gwangju area were examined. Results: The extinction efficiency per unit mass of $PM_{2.5}$ particles was $4.5m^2/g$ and that of $PM_{10-2.5}$ particles was $0.6m^2/g$. This difference indicates that most of the visibility impairment in Gwangju was caused by $PM_{2.5}$ particles. When visibility was poor, the contribution of ammonium sulphate and ammonium nitrate was significantly increased. Relative humidity was also a major cause of visibility decay. The influx of air currents in Gwangju was mostly caused by the long distance movement of pollutants emitted from the eastern part of China. Ammonium sulphate and ammonium nitrate, which are hygroscopic secondary contaminants, were the main causative agents of visibility impairment. Conclusions: Ammonium sulphate and ammonium nitrate were the main causative agents of visibility impairment in Gwangju. The influx of air currents in Gwangju was mostly caused by the long distance movement of pollutants emitted from the eastern part of China.

Ruthenium CMP에서 Cerium Ammonium Nitrate와 알루미나 연마 입자가 연마 거동에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Cerium Ammonium Nitrate and Alumina Abrasive Particles on Polishing Behavior in Ruthenium Chemical Mechanical Planarization)

  • Cerium ammonium nitrate (CAN) and nitric acid was used an etchant and an additive for Ru etching and polishing. pH and Eh values of the CAN and nitric acid added chemical solution satisfied the Ru etching condition. The etch rate increased linearly as the concentration of CAN increased. Nitric acid added solution had the high etch rate. But micro roughness of etched surfaces was not changed before and after etching, The removal rate of Ru film was the highest in $1wt\%$ abrasive added slurry, and not increased despite the concentration of alumina abrasive increased to $5wt\%$. Even Ru film was polished by only CAN solution due to the friction. The highest removal rate of 120nm/min was obtained in 1 M nitric acid and $1wt\%$ alumina abrasive particles added slurry. The lowest micro roughness value was observed in this slurry after polishing. From the XPS analysis of etched Ru surface, oxide layer was founded on the etched Ru surface. Therefore, Ru was polished by chemical etching of CAN solution and oxide layer abrasion by abrasive particles. From the result of removal rate without abrasive particle, the etching of CAN solution is more dominant to the Ru CMP.

Evaluation of the Genetic Toxicity of Cyclopentane and Ammonium Nitrate - In vitro Mammalian Chromosomal Aberration Assay in Chinese Hamster Ovary Cells

  • Objectives: In this study, the in vitro mammalian chromosomal aberration (CA) assay was conducted to gain additional information concerning the hazards associated with the use of cyclopentane and ammonium nitrate. While these two chemicals had already been tested by many methods, they had not been studied in the CA test. Methods: The assay was performed using the ovarian infantile cell (CHO-K1 cell), by the direct method (-S9) and by the metabolic activated method (+S9 mix). Results: Using the direct method, the 7 dosages in a 48 hour treatment group did not show that the frequency of CA is proportion to the dosage addition. The frequency of CA is not proportion to the dosage addition for a 6 hour treatment using the metabolic activated method. Conclusion: From these findings, it was decided that the 2 chemicals do not induce chromosomal aberrations under the tested conditions.

Effect of different concentrations and ratios of ammonium, nitrate, and phosphate on growth of the blue-green alga (cyanobacterium) Microcystis aeruginosa isolated from the Nakdong River, Korea

  • Microcystis aeruginosa causes harmful algal blooms in the Nakdong River of Korea. We studied the effect of different concentrations and ratios of ammonium ($NH_4{^+}$), nitrate ($NO_3{^-}$), and phosphate ($PO{_4}^{3-}$) on growth of this species in BG-11 medium: each nutrient alone, $NO_3{^-}:NH_4{^+}$ ratio, the N : P ratio with fixed total N (TN), and the N : P ratio with fixed total P (TP). The single nutrient experiments indicated that M. aeruginosa had the highest growth rate at $NH_4{^+}$ and $NO_3{^-}$ concentrations of $500{\mu}M$, and at a $PO{_4}^{3-}$ concentration of $5{\mu}M$. The $NO_3{^-}:NH_4{^+}$ ratio experiments showed that M. aeruginosa had the highest growth rate at a ratio of 1 : 1 when TN was $100{\mu}M$ and $250{\mu}M$, and the lowest growth rate at a ratio of 1 : 1 when the TN was $500{\mu}M$. The N : P ratio with fixed TN experiments indicated that M. aeruginosa had the highest growth rates at 50 : 1, 20 : 1, and 100 : 1 ratios when the TN was 100, 250, and $500{\mu}M$, respectively. In contrast, the N : P ratio with fixed TP experiments showed that M. aeruginosa had the highest growth rates at 200 : 1 ratio at all tested TP concentrations. In conclusion, our results imply that the $NO_3{^-}:NH_4{^+}$ ratio and the $PO{_4}^{3-}$ concentration affect the early stage of growth of M. aeruginosa. In particular, our results suggest that the maximum growth of M. aeruginosa is not simply affected by the $NO_3{^-}:NH_4{^+}$ ratio and the N : P ratio, but is determined by the TN concentration if a certain minimum $PO{_4}^{3-}$ concentration is present.

플라스크 배양에서 Chlorella sp. KR-1의 균체 성장 및 지질 생산에 대한 질소원 및 유기탄소원의 영향 (Effects of nitrogen and organic carbon sources on growth and lipid production of Chlorella sp. KR-1 in flask cultures)

  • Recently microalgae have been proposed as a promising biodiesel feedstock, owing to their higher lipid productivity and non-arable land based cultivation system. Biomass and lipid productivities of microalgae are largely affected by various environmental and nutritional factors. In this study, the effects of nitrogen (nitrate and ammonium) and organic carbon (glucose and glycerol) sources on the cell growth and lipid production of Chlorella sp. KR-1 were examined in flask cultures. Under autotrophic culture conditions for 15 days, overall cell growth and lipid (fatty acid methyl ester, FAME) production with nitrate were better than those of ammonium, resulting in 1.06 g cell/L and 333 mg FAME/L, respectively. Maximal intracellular lipid contents (348 - 352 mg FAME/g cell) were observed at low concentrations of 1 mM for both nitrate and ammonium. In the supply of light, addition of glucose in the range of 1 - 20 g/L showed higher cell densities than the autotrophic cell growth condition. Higher lipid accumulation of 375 mg FAME/g cell could achieved at 5 g glucose/L albeit of relatively short incubation of 7 days. With glycerol, intracellular lipid contents were ~1.9 times lower than glucose cases although similar cell growths were observed for both carbon sources.

  • 1. 황색종(黃色種) 담배를 P. E. Mulching 재배(栽培)시 $NH_4-N$ 처리구(處理區)가 $NH_4-N$ 처리구(處理區)에 비(比)하여 Nicotine함량(含量)이 적고 환원당(還元糖) 함량(含量)이 높았다. 2. 건조엽(乾燥葉)의 휘발성(揮發性) 향기성분중(香氣成分中) Furfural, Benzyl alcohol 및 Phenethyl alcohol의 경우(境遇) $NH_4-N$$NO_3-N$ 처리간(處理間)에 별(別) 차이(差異)가 없었다. 3. 담배 향미(香味)에 좋은 영향(影響)을 미치는 Linalool, Solanone, Damascenone, Neophtadiene 및 Oxysolanone+megastigmatriene-one의 함량(含量)이 $NH_4-N$ 처리구(處理區)보다 $NO_3-N$ 처리구(處理區)에서 현저(顯著)히 높았다. 4. 결론적(結論的)으로 $NO_3$태(態) 질소(窒素)보다 황색종(黃色種) 담배의 Nicotine함량(含量)을 감소(減少)시키면서 상대적(相對的)으로 중요(重要)한 향기성분(香氣成分)을 증가(增加)시키는 효과(效果)가 있었다.
