  • The purpose of this study is to find the theatrical style in Dogville, which was the film directed by Las Von Trier. There are a lot of Brecht Epic theatre styles in plot and mise en scĿne in the film. This study try to divide into three parts of them. First of all, the film uses the defined space as a theatrical stage in the one act play. Secondly, there are some apparatuses which was presented as a stagy style in the film. From these apparatuses, the audiences can get the human's life dialectically collided against a sense of alienation. Finally, the film shows up the mime and non-diegetic sound to get an epical stream of Brecht's style. By using these elements to construct all of the film structure, the audiences can establish their one subjecthood against the idealogical empathy.

  • Never Ending Story is an animation work about the stories of the Japanese Sex Slavery Victims who were taken by the Japanese military and forced to sexual slavery, which tormented them with painful memories all their lives. This animation work stimulates the critical perspectives of the audiences in order to ensure a history-based approach based on facts. And, unlike general character animation works which pursue immersion and empathy through illusion of life that are created by the characters, this work demands the audiences to contemplate on historical facts described in the work and make their own judgements. In order to serve these purposes, this work is characterized by its aesthetics properties and elements such as 'sympathy', 'typification', and 'alienation effect'. And, these elements effectively deliver the reality of historical facts that cannot be denied in a chronological narrative. Therefore, this study would sufficiently be of a value in reviewing the diversity in expression and the methodologies used in them, let alone the significance of the theme itself.

This study investigates the effect of married men and women's right to sexual self-determination between couples, personal psychological characteristics (emotional maturity, emotional alienation, self-perception), surrounding environmental characteristics (prevalence of extramarital relationships), and demographic background (gender, age, educational background, economic level) on 'the presence or absence of critical consciousness of infidelity dramas'. For the data of this study, an online survey is conducted on married men and women(614 people), and binary logistic analysis is conducted using SPSS. As a result of this analysis, first, 46% of married men and women have a relatively good level of critical awareness of affair dramas, and overall, the level of critical thinking of married men and women about the infidelity dramas is rather low. Second, there is no significant difference between genders in the perception of problems such as 'excessive beautification of infidelity', 'incitement of infidelity' and 'damage of family values', however, married women are more critical than married men regarding 'explicit sexual description', indicating differences according to gender characteristics. Third, for married men, the level of 'self-perception' and 'marital sexual self-determination right' have a significant effect on the critical mind with infidelity dramas. In the case of married women, it is found that 'the right to sexual self-determination' between married couples and 'emotional alienation' have a significant effect on 'the presence or absence of critical consciousness of infidelity dramas'.

  • Studies of information technology assimilation have been limited primarily to information technology implementation issues that arise after purchasing and/or developing information technology and applications. Thus there is a need to step back and investigate what motives a manager to implement a information technology for his organization use. The purpose of this paper is to examine decision maker's attitudes and internal beliefs, especially the construct of alienation. This study findings indicate that decision-maker computer knowledge, computer experience, and education level are closely associated with alienated beliefs and attitudes toward information technology. Assuming technologies can provide advantages, these findings point to the need for change agents to minimize alienating beliefs and attitudes.

  • Near / Miss, Charles Bernstein's poetry collection, is replete with poems of distinctive styles and pluralistic forms in his idiosyncratic and artistic cosmos. With poetic antics, queerness, sarcasm, irony, and humor, the book showcases the motif of loss, chaos and trauma in postmodern America and the world. The multiplicity and multi-dimensional $M{\ddot{o}}bius$ effect in Near / Miss echo earlier Bernstein's poems, as well as poems by ancient and contemporary poets, with visual artists and musicians, and rabbis and Jewish philosophers. I argue that Near / Miss offers an apotheosis of echopoetics, which has been launched in his previous book Pitch of Poetry. Poems in the book reveal the dark and thick "pitch," namely the queer, the uncanny, the invisible, the disabled, the dispossessed, and the silenced poetic Other and make it explicit. The estrangement and alienation of $clich{\acute{e}}$ through diverse malaprops, mondegreens, non-sequiturs and fragmentations in Near / Miss aim at deconstructing the fixation of language so as to display the poetic Other. The motif of "nothingness" in echopoetics significantly multiplies its meanings. Nothingness mainly refers to the loss of origin, the defiance of tyranny, and the sublimity of the universe and the poetic Other. Melding his personal loss and misfortune, the current political discontent and the postmodern chaos in America and the world, nothingness in echopoetics resonates with American literary tradition and Zen with a healing and transforming power.

  • The active participation and active interaction of learners in small group science inquiry activities are the main factors that determine the effectiveness of science learning. Roles can be assigned to members of a small group to facilitate interaction between members within the small group. The purpose of this study is to analyze the effect of role assignment on the types and patterns of verbal interactions in middle school students' small group science inquiry activities. For this, 172 students from middle schools located in metropolitan cities were surveyed. We analyzed 18 small groups with assigned roles and 15 small groups without assigned roles. The change in verbal interaction type in small group science inquiry activity according to role assignment was largely divided into alienation and participation. In the case of small groups with assigned roles, the participation type occupied a higher proportion than the alienation type. The change in verbal interaction patterns did not show much significant differences when the role was assigned in terms of cognitive and affective. Based on this, further research is needed on how role assignment affects verbal interactions depending on the type of scientific inquiry and the stage of inquiry. In addition, further research on the composition of small groups and role assignment is required.
