One of the abnormal motions of the projectile in the coil gun is spinning. It is found that the spinning force is closely related with air gap distance. Modified and detail analysis for the spinning is suggested in this paper. Two reasons for spinning force and Lorentz force affecting on the spinning are introduced. Nutation, which is a result of spinning, is explained there after.
In this study, a study and interpretation of the spinning process in copolymerized aramid spinning was conducted. In order to proceed with the spinning process modeling and analysis, the spinning process was modeled through the physical property modeling of the spinning solution and the structural modeling of the spinneret, and structural stability and flow of the spinneret for this spinning were analyzed. After modeling the spinning solution and the spinneret in a virtual space, the pack pressure and flow rate when the spinning solution was discharged were simulated. Macroscopically, the structural stability of the spinneret was confirmed at the standard pack pressure (100 kg·f/cm2), and microscopically, the flow rate and pressure drop data of the spinning solution according to the L/D(Length (L)/Diameter (D)) value were analyzed. Based on the research and development of virtual engineering modeling and analysis, we present the possibility of changing the shape and mechanical properties of copolymer aramid fibers according to the spinning process.

Hollow fiber (HF) membranes are gaining wide interest over flat membranes due to their compaction and high area to surface volume ratio. This work addresses the fabrication of HF from polysulfone (PS) and polyethersulfone (PES) using N-methylpyrrolidone (NMP) as solvent in addition to other additives to achieve desired characteristics. The semi-pilot spinning system includes jacketed vessel, four spinneret block, coagulation and washing baths in addition to dryer and winder. Different parameters affecting dry-wet spinning phase inversion process were investigated. Dope compositions of PES, NMP and polyvinyl pyrrolidone (PVP) of varying molecular weights as additive were addressed. Some critical parameters of importance were also investigated. Those include dope flow rate, air gap, coagulation & washing baths and drying temperatures. The measured dope viscosity was in the range from 1.7 to 36.5 Pa.s. Air gap distance was adjusted from 20 to 45 cm and coagulation bath temperature from 20 to $46^{\circ}C$. The HF membranes were characterized by scanning electron microscope (SEM), atomic force microscope (AFM) and mechanical properties. Results indicated prevalence of finger like structure and average surface roughness from about 29 to 78.3 nm. Profile of stress strain characteristics revealed suitability of the fibers for downstream interventions for fabrication of thin film composite membrane. Different empirical correlations were formulated which enable deeper understanding of the interaction of the above mentioned variables. Data of pure water permeability (PWP) confirmed that the fabricated samples fall within the microfiltration (MF)-ultrafiltration (UF) range of membrane separation.
A study has been made of the dry-jet-wet spinning of PAN copolymer fibers using 60% aqueous zinc chloride solution as solvent and 25∼40% aqueous zinc chloride solution as non-solvent. The technological characteristics of this method were that small streams of dope were extruded from the die and allowed to pass through a short distance of air gap(about 10mm) before entering the spinning bath for full coagulation. This work showed the importances which coagulation condition, stretch ratio and fiber tenacity up to 10.5 g/d could be obtained with elongation of 11∼16%. Individual fibers were evaluated on the basis of density and mechanical properties such as tenacity and elongation etc.

$TiO_{2}$ electrode electrospun directly onto the substrate was developed for energy conversion device. To enhance energy conversion efficiency of dye-sensitized solar cell, electrodes should have higher surface area to absorb more dyes and higher conductivity to reduce recombination of generated electrons. $TiO_{2}$ nanofibers with higher surface areas were fabricated by annealing electrospun $TiO_{2}/PVP$ nanofibers at $500^{\circ}C$ for 3 hrs in air. it was revealed that $TiO_{2}$ nanofiber electrodes is hybrid with MWNT showed higher conductivity than $TiO_{2}$ semiconductor electrode possibly due to band gap change.
