Background : Electrical burns are one of the most devastating types of injuries, and can be characterized by the conduction of electric current through the deeper soft tissue such as vessels, nerves, muscles, and bones. For that reason, the extent of an electric burn is very frequently underestimated on initial impression. Methods : From July 1999 to June 2006, we performed 15 cases of toe tissue transfer for the reconstruction of finger defects caused by electrical burns. We performed preoperative range of motion exercise, early excision, and coverage of the digital defect with toe tissue transfer. Results : We obtained satisfactory results in both functional and aesthetic aspects in all 15 cases without specific complications. Static two-point discrimination results in the transferred toe cases ranged from 8 to 11 mm, with an average of 9.5 mm. The mean range of motion of the transferred toe was $20^{\circ}$ to $36^{\circ}$ in the distal interphalangeal joint, $16^{\circ}$ to $45^{\circ}$ in the proximal interphalangeal joint, and $15^{\circ}$ to $35^{\circ}$ in the metacarpophalangeal joint. All of the patients were relatively satisfied with the function and appearance of their new digits. Conclusions : The strategic management of electrical injury to the hands can be both challenging and complex. Because the optimal surgical method is free tissue transfer, maintenance of vascular integrity among various physiological changes works as a determining factor for the postoperative outcome following the reconstruction.

The conception of uniform is changing from function and economical efficiency of the past to symbolism and aesthetic sense So, in such a management strategical point of view as enterprises' PR, scouting talent, organization revitalization etc, this is required to settle uniform culture which is proper to each enterprise and design development. The purpose of this thesis is, first, to study to help distribution enterprises' CI or PR by examining the present condition of uniform design in domestic fashion distribution enterprise and planning uniform design on the base of real case and finally making a real thing in person. Second is to suggest to fashion enterprise security of competitive ability of uniform-producing enterprise by developing article design of worth. Third is to present academic area with how to do design education in a wide range not based on trend article development. Following is how and what to study to carry out these purposes. Details about necessity and how and what to study are in an introduction, the conception of uniform in theory through precedential records examination in chapter 2, the present condition of uniform design based on Changwon city in chapter 3, planning uniform design and making a real thing suitable for F enterprise in chapter 4, and the conclusion is in chapter 5. Through this study, I became to know that uniform in distribution enterprise who treats visitors face to face is very important. I supply material and information concluded from this study to uniform industry and hope this will be helpful in developing uniform. It is significant in that this study as being related with enlarged uniform and enterprise, beyond such a uniform area as school uniform and hospital one, expanded the study range of clothing. I already tell you that this study is based on visual expression of uniform and wearer's feeling in clothes is not included.

This is a study about importance of reading comics and discussions highlighted on anthropological perspective as a proper way of education. In introduction, we broght in the issues about failure of the past cartoon education in responding adequately to the flow of current comic book industry, as it has been biased to technical education which resulted in negligence of studies about meaning and function of cartoon. On the other hand, emphasizing the need for cartoon education complemented cultural and academic aspects, we presented reading comics and discussions as an alternative. The challenges we need to pay attention throughout reading comics and discussions have considered in all its aspects specifically like creative process of cartoon, coping with social prejudice against cartoon, study about aesthetic value of cartoon, the role of cartoon in cultural democracy, issue about postcolonialism, multiple popularity and etc.

The development of technology in modern industrial world which grows and changes every day is shortening the cycle of life span of products, so there is a flood of products around us. It is enough to say that this phenomenon leads to further emphasis on the aspect of design for human being. It is not a new fact that to design for the rational function and the modeling from to make a combination and to satisfy consumers' desire is a short cut to gain competitive superiority in developing new products for MIS security. Therefore the design which plays a leading role in the activity of creating more convenient, more aesthetic, and more econemical products is called 'NEW CORPORATE WEAPON'. The amount of effort made for developing products is different in each company, but recently the plan to develope new products and its process arouse more interest. This thesis purports to improve objective understanding about the development of design by investigating products development research and the process of analysis and designing as a case study on developing a domestic supersonic humidifier. This thesis consists of five chapters in all. In chapter one as a preface, the purpose the method and the scope of the study is described. Chapter two contains my effort to grasp the background of study on the design and the basic structure of supersonic humidifier. Chapter three is an examination into the present conditions of supersonic humidifier used in domestic and foreign area, and the shape of design. In chapter four, a guide for the development of design is established. The idea sketch based on a fundamental shape and the drawing are added to this. In chapter five on the basis of the result of analysis in the preceding research I describe the development of design of products on the premise that marketing gives proof for them but the products oriented by manufacturer are not included in this case. In this thesis, I try to recognize the process of the develpment of design and the importance of the plan for design in developing products by examining an investigative and analytic study on the design of products.

Nowadays conmpetltlOn of developing new products is getting keen. We can notice that the role and importance of design are emphasized more than ever.The main cause of this tendency is that technical power is no more a factor which secures the superiority in products competition, as technology is gneneralized in the world. Therefore, design is recognized intensely as a competitive strategy to promote competitive power of products. It is an already known fact that the design for both rational function and charming form to satisfy consumer's desires is a short cut to success, when a company develops a new product to promote competitive power in market. The design which plays a leading role in the activity of developing more cnovenient, more economical and more aesthetic products is called 'Competitive Edge' or 'New Corporate Weapon'. Judging form each company's case of developing products, we can guess that it has its own plan and process of developing new products with defferdnl interest and effort. The strategy of developing products is considered as the most important factor that affects the very existence of rhe company. This thesis is composed of six chapters in all. In the firstchapter, I describe the purpose, method, and scope of study.The second chapter includes the image of form in oil fan heater market in nearby Japan and that of interior in our domestic home and shops, and the trend of word life cycle by analyzing circumstances. The third chapter focuses on consumer's attitude. In the fourth chapter, I compare and test current products of competitive companies including Samsung, Daewoo, Shinilwith those of Gold STar. The trend of products, technique, and design which resulted form this comparison is described. In the fifth chapter I explain the strategy, and process of design of oil fan heater in 1992. The last conclusive chapter presents the major point drawed form the case study, but not includes an estimation of products and the condition of market. In this thesis, I reconsider the general understanding of design and designing process and the value of design as a main factor in the strategy of management by investigating the development of products and the strategy of design, and the process of design.

Folk paintings influence the lifestyle of the general public, and is visible practical communication presenting emotion, feelings and phenomenon through various functions and aesthetic molding specificity. Illustration as a medium for conveying information in modern society is time communication forming time circumstance based on a creative image, becoming an importance in the means of molding an active information society. Folk paintings and illustration express the subject of various kinds of stories of surroundings of daily lives ironically, humorously and symbolically, convey it in an accurate and detailed way in the various use of color and shape representation, and have a similar specificity as the general public's art influencing the society, culture, and environment, the general public's emotion and feelings of that time. The current research is to suggest the possibility and direction of Korean image representation in illustration by analyzing folk painting and illustration characters based on social, cultural function and role and molding specificity.

A Study on the Characteristics of the Modern Chair Design The features of the modern chair design results from the diverse life style unfolded as per the 20th century social structure and the change of the residential space, and new design has been being developed by the scientists and the artists in various fields through their cooperated work in a way. The field of the scientific or technical study and creation of arts can be developed where they can evoke the sympathy in the circumstances under which the various styles of both arts and science meet across, complement crash together, and grow up. The operation which can control in the network of such pluralistic sphere has been needed for a long period and it has been facing the needs from a time and society. The engineering furniture as the counterplan of the above has brought the value of materials into relief to the forms of human life by making the properties of matter the maximum value or changing it. It can be summarized as following characteristics in its materials and forms along as well as the 3 types (handycrafty, mechanical, and ecological expression) in process through the 20th century. 1. Characteristics in Materials elasticity of the chair as per the changes of the flexibility in the steel pipe development of systematic chair using the plasticity of the plywood, plastic, and wire lightweight due to the materials such as aluminum. 2. Formative characteristics formative simplicity for the increase of the function and the quality improvement such as sociality, productivity, environmental and aesthetic nature emphasis on the structure as per the architectural environment and tecniques pursuit of the forms as a container of the human body seeking for the formative values as the cultural symbols coping with the needs from thepluralistic social structure Furniture is not the makeup for convenience sake but most importantexpression as necessaries of our environments. It should identify itself always as per these kind of needs and also it should be able to used to keep the relation of such mutual division, otherwise the purchase of new furniture should be necessary according to every change of the existing situatiov. Our residence doesn't need the specific style but expresses only the properties of the dwellers.

A photograph used in a film poster summarizes the story of the film that lasts for around two hours. The image must contain a picture that represents the story and text including the title, with various design elements composed in a harmonious way. However, given that a photograph is the most noticeable element in a film poster, this study aims to examine the function, role, and types of a film poster and analyze poster photographs. Currently, there are companies specialized in photography for film posters, but sometimes recognized photographers are commissioned to take a photograph that will be used for a film poster. Hein-kuhn Oh actively produced such photographs in the early and mid-2000s, and this study deals with 'how the photographs recreate the content of the films' focused on three selected photographs taken by him. Also, There were commonalities found between the tree photographs and Oh's personal portrait photographs, which were then analyzed from the photographic aesthetic point of view. Modern dental reconstructions do not only aim at restoring the patient's mastication, but rather at improving general well-being and quality of life, especially in terms of esthetics. The media, the internet, advertising, and many other facts of society contribute to an increased cosmetic awareness. A 35-year-old male patient presented with as follows: 1) the porcelain fracture of ceramo-metal restoration on #11 and #23, 2) the inclination of incisal plane to horizontal reference plane, 3) the dental midline deviation to facial midline, and 4) the lack of symmetry on upper anterior dentition. The patient requested an aesthetic improvement using fixed prosthodontics including implant-supported restorations. In the upper anterior region, one of the goals of the conventional as well as implant prosthesis is to achieve restorations with the dental attractiveness and beauty in the respect of dental, dentofacial, and facial compositions. This case report presents geometrically improvement of dental esthetics using conventional and implant prosthesis with soft and hard tissue augmentation.

In this study, we attempted to make an original pattern of clothing for an abnormal type of figure, especially for the type of kyphosis. We measured the curvature of the spine of a woman with kyphosis with a Martin measuring instrument and a silhouetter in the following ways. First, we counted the rate of shrinkage of the standard lines drawn on the surface of the body according as the body moved. Secondly, placing the front and back darts, the front and back shoulder darts and the side darts according to“Munhwa”pattern, we made cubic cuttings of four moving postures as well as the standing one. Thirdly, we superposed the developed patterns of the standing and the moving postures, measuring the position change and the amount of the chaange of the darts, and compared them. The results are as follows: 1) In the developed pattern of a cubic cutting of the basic pattern and the standing posture, the neckhole became larger than that of the basic pattern, and the waist line was lowered than that of the basic pattern because the center back line was shortened due to the curved backbone. 2) As for the change of the standard line according to the movement, we found that the waist line, the center front line, the center back line, the bust width line, the upper back width line and the back width line became longer. Special consideration must be given to the function of the clothing for an abnormal type of figure. 3) The difference of the measurements between the cubic cutting and the body measurement regardless of the body movement is due to a gap by an acute angle at the jutted place between the developed pattern and the body surface. We found that the body measurement of the upper back width line, the back width line and the bust line became larger. Consequently, in making an original clothing pattern, it is desirable that we must not place the front and the back waist darts at the jutted place on the back from the functional and the aesthetic viewpoint of clothing. It is also desirable that we must widen the neckhole because the shoulder angle is close to a straight line due to a jut of the upper back width line.
