A Comparative Study on Advertising Appeal of Korean and Japanese Newspaper Advertisement Contents (한국과 일본 신문광고 콘텐츠의 광고소구 비교연구)

  • This study focuses on advertising appeal of newspaper advertisement in Korea and Japan differs from each other in detail. Comparative analysis in this study on newspaper advertisements between Korea and Japan has been conducted based on an assumption that advertisement is a reflection of culture. For verification, this study employs a contents analysis method to compare and analyse Korean and Japanese Newspaper advertisements. This study analysed a total of 411 advertisements (209 and 202 from Korean and Japanese respectively) placed in nation-widely circulated newspapers. The study results demonstrate that there are meaningful statistical differences in advertising appeal of Korean and Japanese newspaper advertisements. These differences could be interpreted as products of cultural differences between Korea and Japan. It is required to continue follow-up researches on various areas including creative strategy and medium of advertisement in Korea and Japan.

An Analysis on Humor Expression in Internet Banner Advertising (인터넷 배너광고의 유머 표현 분석)

  • As the Internet market develops and grows, the Internet advertising has emerged as a critical medium of advertisement and become important in a modern society. In addition, the Internet advertising is more fascinating and attractive than other media in terms of diversity and absorption. In the Internet banner advertising, for example, various expression methods which attract attention from users have been more than just visual advertisement, arousing curiosity and interest. Especially, humorous expressions in the Internet banner advertising have brought a new paradigm to advertising market. Therefore, this paper has investigated the patterns of humorous expressions in banner advertising and analyzed the related case studies to make a contribution to the effective production of the Internet banner advertising, which induces user awareness and selection. For this, it has been attempted to analyze humorous patterns and involvement that are found in humorous banner advertisings such as CIA Athletica, Panadol, Toy & Stok, Adidas and Lipton among the banners which have relatively high preference in Banner blogs.

Examination of Factors Influencing the Attitude toward SNS-based Advertising and the Roles of Involvement: Focusing on Facebook News Feed Advertising (SNS 광고 태도에 영향을 주는 요인들과 관여도의 역할에 대한 고찰: 페이스북 뉴스피드 광고를 중심으로)

  • This major purpose of this study is to examine factors influencing the attitude toward News Feed advertising in Facebook. For this purpose, this study posited seven determinants including informativeness, entertainment, irritation, trust, individualization, incentive and privacy concern, which can have influences on the attitude toward News Feed Advertising. and this research tests the relationships between these seven determinants and the attitude toward News Feed Advertising. An online survey was administrated to collect data and hierarchical regression analyses were employed for data analysis. The results showed that infortainment as a new combined factor of informativeness and entertainment, trust, individualization have significantly positive influences on the attitude toward News Feed advertising in Facebook. It was also shown that the moderating effect of involvement on the relationship between irritation and the attitude. The results in this study implied that it is needed to reinforce the attributes of advertising including infortainment, trust and individualization to boost the effects of News Feed advertising in Facebook on consumers.

  • Smart phone allows advertisers to estimate customers behavior by selecting user context awareness information and gives users instant feed back about their behavior. Electronic equipments such as smart phone enable advertisers to advertise interesting product for each customers at the point of purchase. In this paper, we deal with the trends of Smart phone and internet based TV in the spotlight as the upcoming advertising media and propose the effective way of advertising, Smart Advertising model, which can give users advertising contents of their interesting product by collecting user context information from a variety of devices including N-screen in smart space. This model will induce modern people who live in flood of advertisements to buy products by providing interesting advertising contents.

Designing Health Games for Anti-Smoking Advertising Targeting College Students: The Impact of Message Types and Voice-Over

  • Video games are an alternative channel for public health authorities constantly striving to reach target audiences and make positive changes. The objective of this research is to address effectiveness of health games as a health promotion technology for anti-smoking communication. This study tested the impact of advertising message types and voice-over relative to anti-smoking persuasion. By using commercial-level custom-made first person shooter (FPS) games, two experimental studies demonstrated usefulness of applying health games to change a player's attitude towards smoking. In particular, an interactive in-game message with a persuasive voice over was the most effective method to change targets' attitude towards smoking. Findings of our research offer meaningful insight on health promotion research and provide possible directions for future anti-smoking communication using health games.

  • This study attempts to examine the equity of regulation in advertising. After scrutinizing asymmetric regulation in advertising, this study propose measures to increase the equity of advertising regulation. This study proposed horizontal regulation and unification of regulatory agencies as direction of increasing the equity of regulation in advertising. In order to ensure the equity of advertising regulation in the new types of media that appear in various ways, horizontal regulation that decides advertising regulation policy based on the nature of contents or service is desirable. To increase the equity of regulation in advertising, it is recommended that the advertising regulatory system be operated with integrated regulatory organization.

The dual monitor screen is controlled by mouse and keyboard in the same way as before.

  • In this paper, we had tried to study advertising method of local industry in cooperation with SNS (Social Network Service). In particular, This paper analyzes the Facebook Page trying to find a way to take advantage of the local advertising. To analyse the Facebook page, I had created three Facebook pages such as at Hongik UNIV., Gangwon National UNIV., and specialities in Cuncheon cities. While I was managing the three pages, I had analyzed the results of quantities of activities, and in addition, had used NodeXL for the analysis of the network for the each page. After the analysis of the data of each page, I had found the possibility of the promotion for the successful the local advertizement associated with SNS. To verify and develop the results of my study, I had designed the " real time local advertising APP which is connected with SNS like Facebook, had created server program based on PHP, Android APP. In the future, I have found that there must be a lot of possibilities for the successful and various the local advertising methodologies by using SNS like Facebook, the operational data of the App.

  • In recent decades, China's economy has grown rapidly and two-dimensional bar code-based payments services have been activated. This is a model that will be introduced by developing countries that lack mobile payment infrastructure, and countries that are looking to leap into cashless societies are also drawing attention. Along with this, the existing CRM market is expanding around the mobile device called m-CRM, and research is active on the importance of collective use for online advertising and two-dimensional bar code-based payments services. Therefore, through this study, we have explored the concepts and status of online advertising and customer relationship management which using the two-dimensional bar code-based system, and designed and implemented the method and mobile application system to effectively disseminate transactional advertising information at the point of sale or at the point of share. We also presented an application approach to look at the direction of two-dimensional bar code-based ads contents sharing system and its development.
