  • In the network function virtualization environment, dynamic changes in network traffic will lead to the dynamic changes of service function chain resource demand, which entails timely dynamic adjustment of service function chain resource configuration. At present, most researches solve this problem through virtual network function migration and link rerouting, and there exist some problems such as long service interruption time, excessive network operation cost and high penalty. This paper proposes a dynamic adjustment method of service function chain resource configuration for the dynamic changes of network traffic. First, a dynamic adjustment request of service function chain is generated according to the prediction of network traffic. Second, a dynamic adjustment strategy of service function chain resource configuration is determined according to substrate network resources. Finally, the resource configuration of a service function chain is pre-adjusted according to the dynamic adjustment strategy. Virtual network functions combination and virtual machine reusing are fully considered in this process. The experimental results show that this method can reduce the influence of service function chain resource configuration dynamic adjustment on quality of service, reduce network operation cost and improve the revenue of service providers.

In this descriptive research, 219 university students were recruited as participants. Data collection was carried out from May to June 2019 via online survey. The results showed that parent-child relationship had significant direct effects on empowerment, social support, and college adjustment. Moreover, parent-child relationship had significant indirect effects on students' college adjustment via empowerment and social support. The indirect effect of empowerment was significantly higher than the indirect effect of social support with respect to the influence of parent-child relationship on college adjustment. It is necessary to improve parent-child relations and emotional intimacy through social support to promote the college adjustment of students. In addition, it is important to apply a program that can enhance empowerment, which is a powerful factor in college adjustment.

  • This study was conducted to identify the correlation between the school-life stress, depression and college adjustment of dormitory residents, in order to provide the basic data needed to establish a strategy to improve the adjustment of college students. The subjects were 210 students in Korea. The data were collected using a self-report questionnaire from September 13 to 19, 2014, and analyzed by frequency, t-test, ANOVA and Pearson's correlation using the SPSS Win 21 program. The school-life stress, depression and college adjustment of the students residing in the dormitory on a 5-point scale were 2.43, 1.88 and 3.81, respectively. School-life stress had a significant positive correlation with depression (r=.639, p<.001) and significant negative correlation with college adjustment (r=-.709, p<.001). Depression had a significant negative correlation with college adjustment (r=-.788, p<.001). Those students with a higher school-life stress showed higher levels of depression and lower levels of college adjustment. Those students with a higher level of depression showed a lower level of college adjustment. Therefore, it is necessary to develop and test a suitable program in order to understand the differences between psychological adjustment based on gender, and to decrease school-life stress and depression and increase college adjustment.

  • The study conducted an employment capability reinforcement program targeting health-related college students, and then carried out positive analysis to find out how satisfaction affects adjustment to college life and academic achievement. An employment capability reinforcement program was conducted which targeted health related majors at a university located in Cheongbuk, and information on satisfaction, adjustment to college life, and academic achievement was collected through a self-administered questionnaire. The analysis results revealed that the higher the satisfaction for the employment capability reinforcement program, the better the adjustment to college life, while increased adjustment to college life affected academic achievement. Although the employment capability reinforcement program had no direct relationship of influence to academic achievement, the study shows that it does lead to increased academic achievement by way of adjustment to college life, which ends up as a positive affect for future employment. Therefore, active efforts are necessary to revitalize employment related programs that suit the characteristics of each department in order to establish an environment for revitalizing employment and increasing adjustment to college life.

  • In Korea there is no specific method of age adjustment in noise induced hearing loss(NIHL). We attempted the age adjustment to understand the effects of age on the diagnosis of NIHL. We used the International Standard Organization 1999 as an age adjustment method. We used the 1, 617 otologically normal person's hearing data from a health examination center, and 206 workers diagnosed as NIHL. We concluded as follows; 1. The ISO 7029 function used for age specific hearing loss is not suited to Korean people. 2. The mean of age specific hearing loss is 11.0 6.2dB and the older of age, the more decrease on hearing loss, especially in 4000Hz. 3. The difference of NIHL between before age adjustment and after age adjustment in the 3rd decade is 5.4dB, in the 4th decade is 6.7dB, in the 5th decade is 8.5dB, in the 6th decade is 10.4dB, and in the 7th decade is 12.9dB. The older, the more is the difference. 4. After age adjustment, the number of workers diagnosed as NIHL decreases to 60% of unadjusted.

  • Purpose: This study aimed to identify the attributes of social adjustment among adolescent cancer survivors using concept analysis and to propose a definition of the concept. Methods: In accordance with the hybrid model of concept analysis, this study employed a three-phase circular process comprising theoretical, fieldwork, and final analysis phases. A thorough literature review was conducted using MEDLINE, Embase, and Korean databases, followed by qualitative fieldwork with seven participants. The results derived from the theoretical and fieldwork phases were integrated into the final analysis phase. Results: Four attributes of social adjustment were found in adolescent cancer survivors: having harmonious relationships with friends, having harmonious relationships with boy/girlfriends, fulfilling their present roles, and planning for and expecting future roles. The following definition of social adjustment of adolescent cancer survivors is proposed: "the conquering of difficulties arising from the continuum of childhood cancer and the achievement of the developmental tasks of typical adolescents." Conclusion: Social adjustment of childhood cancer survivors is crucial for integrating them into society. The findings of this study provide a basis for developing an instrument to measure the social adjustment of adolescent cancer survivors and for developing of interventions that target this group.

The subjects were 159 freshman nursing students. Data were collected through structured questionnaires from May 20 to June 10, 2012. Data analysis was done using descriptive statistics, independent t-test, ANOVA, Pearson correlation coefficient, and multiple regression with SPSS WIN v 18.0. Positive correlation were found between college student adjustment and mood monitoring as well as mood labeling. On the other hand, ambivalence over positive emotional expressiveness and ambivalence over negative emotional expressiveness were significantly negative correlation with college student adjustment. In addition, mood monitoring, ambivalence over positive emotional expressiveness, mood labeling, and ambivalence over negative emotional expressiveness accounted for 31.8% of variance in college student adjustment. The results of this study suggest that programs for promoting emotional awareness and reducing ambivalence over emotional expressiveness are important for college adjustment in freshman nursing students.
