아크릴, 에폭시, 우레탄 및 SBR계 라텍스를 혼합한 에틸렌 비닐아세테이트계 에멀젼 수지의 물리적 특성 (The Physical Properties of Ethylene Vinylacetate Emulsion Mixed with SBR, Urethane, Epoxy and Acryl Latex)

  • 방수제로 사용하는 EVA 에멀젼 수지에 라텍스 형태의 아크릴 수지, 에폭시 수지, 우레탄 수지, SBR 수지를 전체 혼합물 중에 $0{\sim}50%$ 혼합하여 소포성, 기계적 물성, 내수성 등을 조사하였다. 소포제의 소포효과는 BYK-021이 가장 우수하였으며 적절한 사용량은 전체 혼합물에 대하여 0.3phr이었다. 수축율은 수지간의 상용성과 기공형성도에 영향을 받았으며 기계적 강도는 수지 분자간의 응집력, 수지와 시멘트의 결합력, 시멘트 입자간의 응집력 등에 영향을 받았다. 라텍스를 혼합한 것은 혼합하지 않은 것보다 수축율, 굴곡강도, 접착강도, 충격강도 등에서 우수한 물성을 나타내었다. EVA에 시멘트를 혼합했을 때에는 혼합하지 않았을 때보다 내수성이 떨어졌다.

치과 캐드캠 시스템에서 사용되는 고분자 수복재료들의 표면특성과 접착양상 (Surface characteristics and bonding performance of polymer restorative materials for dental CAD/CAM systems)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate the mechanical properties of polymer prosthetic and restorative materials for dental CAD/CAM using two test method; surface characteristics and shear bond strength. Methods: Commercialized CAD/CAM polymer blanks were investigated; One kinds of PMMA, and one PEKK blanks. A total of 20 PMMA and PEKK specimens were prepared, and each group was divided into 10 specimens. Average surface roughness was observed under surface profilometer. The contact angle was measured with a surface electrooptics. The bond strength was evaluated by a universal testing machine at a crosshead speed of 5mm/min. The data were statistically analyzed using independent t-test and Fisher's exact test(P<0.05). Results: The PMMA and PEKK group showed a significant difference in the shear bond strength with the composite resin(P<0.05). The surface roughness of the PEKK group was higher than that of the PMMA group. The fracture mode were observed in PEKK groups with 50% showing adhesive remnant index score. Conclusion: PEEK is used as substructure material and composite veneering material is applied. PEKK resins will contribute to the development of successful products that will provide structural and aesthetic satisfaction.

Characteristics of Hybrid Protective Materials with CNT Sheet According to Binder Type

  • Recently, the demand has increased for protective clothing materials capable of shielding the wearer from bullets, fragment bullets, knives, and swords. It is therefore necessary to develop light and soft protective clothing materials with excellent wearability and mobility. To this end, research is being conducted on hybrid design methods for various highly functional materials, such as carbon nanotube (CNT) sheets, which are well known for their low weight and excellent strength. In this study, a hybrid protective material using CNT sheets was developed and its performance was evaluated. The material design incorporated a bonding method that used a binder for interlayer combination between the CNT sheets. Four types of binders were selected according to their characteristics and impregnated within CNT sheets, followed by further combination with aramid fabric to produce the hybrid protective material. After applying the binder, the tensile strength increased significantly, especially with the phenoxy binder, which has rigid characteristics. However, as the molecular weight of the phenoxy binder increased, the adhesive force and strength decreased. On the other hand, when a 25% lightweight-design and high-molecular-weight phenoxy binder were applied, the backface signature (BFS) decreased by 6.2 mm. When the CNT sheet was placed in the middle of the aramid fabric, the BFS was the lowest. In a stab resistance test, the penetration depth was the largest when the CNT sheet was in the middle layer. As the binder was applied, the stab resistance improvement against the P1 blade was most effective.

  • This study proposed vision artificial intelligence-based automated supervision technology for external insulation and finishing system, and basic research was conducted for it. The automated supervision technology proposed in this study consists of the object detection model (YOLOv5) and the part that derives necessary information based on the object detection result and then determines whether the external insulation-related adhesion regulations are complied with. As a result of a test, the judgement accuracy of the proposed model showed about 70%. The results of this study are expected to contribute to securing the external insulation quality and further contributing to the realization of energy-saving eco-friendly buildings. As further research, it is necessary to develop a technology that can improve the accuracy of the object detection model by supplementing the number of data for model training and determine additional related regulations such as the adhesive area ratio.

Sound Absorption of Natural Fiber Composite from Sugarcane Bagasse and Coffee Silver Skin

  • This study aimed to develop a sound-absorbing composite using sugarcane bagasse (SB) and coffee silver skin (CS) as raw materials. The composite boards were manufactured by bonding the fibers with Melamine Urea-Formaldehyde adhesive, ensuring a consistent thickness of 30 mm. Various densities were employed, namely 380, 450, and 520 kg/m3. The samples were fabricated with different fiber ratios, including SB100%, SB75% with CS25%, and SB50% with CS50%. The sound absorption coefficient (SAC) and noise reduction coefficient (NRC) were measured using the impedance tube method within a frequency range of 63-6,300 Hz. The experimental results revealed that the mixing ratio of CS exerted a notable influence on enhancing the SAC, while the density of the composite board exhibited a significant impact on increasing both the SAC and NRC. Among the densities tested, the optimal value was observed at 520 kg/m3, yielding a SAC value of 0.65 at a frequency of 1,000 Hz and an NRC value of 0.55 for the SB50-CS50 composite plate. These findings underscore the importance of considering the CS mixing ratio and composite board density when aiming to optimize sound absorption properties.

질화알루미늄 나노분말의 부착과 이를 활용한 초소수성 표면 제작 (Deposition of aluminum nitride nanopowders and fabrication of superhydrophobic surfaces )

  • Superhydrophobic surfaces have been expected to be able to provide considerable performance improvements and introduce innovative functions across diverse industries. However, representative methods for fabricating superhydrophobic surfaces include etching the substrate or attaching nanosized particles, but they have been limited by problems such as applicability to only a few materials or low adhesion between particles and substrates, resulting in a short lifetime of superhydrophobic properties. In this work, we report a novel coating technique that can achieve superhydrophobicity by electrophoretic deposition of aluminum nitride (AlN) nanopowders and their self-bonding to form a surface structure without the use of binder resins through a hydrolysis reaction. Furthermore, by using a water-soluble adhesive as a temporary shield for the electrophoretic deposited AlN powders, hierarchical aluminum hydroxide structures can be strongly adhered to a variety of electrically conductive substrates. This binder-free technique for creating hierarchical structures that exhibit strong adhesion to a variety of substrates significantly expands the practical applicability of superhydrophobic surfaces.

GFRP 보강적층판 및 GFRP rod를 이용한 낙엽송 집성재 접합부의 모멘트저항 성능평가 (Moment Resistance Performance Evaluation of Larch Glulam Joints using GFRP-reinforced Laminated Plate and GFRP Rod)

  • 구조용 집성재 라멘 접합부에 일반적으로 사용되는 접합철물을 대신하여 단판과 GFRP (Glass Fiber Reinforced Plastic)를 복합시킨 GFRP 보강적층판과 삽입 접착형 GFRP rod를 접합물로 사용하였다. 이들을 적용시킨 접합부에 대한 모멘트저항 성능평가 결과, 접합철물을 이용한 실험체(Type-1)와 비교하여 GFRP 보강적층판과 GFRP rod 핀을 사용한 실험체의 항복모멘트는 4% 낮게 측정되었으나 회전강성은 29% 높게 측정되었다. 또한 GFRP 보강적층판과 목재(Eucalyptus marginata)핀을 사용한 실험체는 Type-1 실험체와 비교하여 항복모멘트 11%, 회전강성 56% 높게 측정되며 가장 양호한 성능을 나타냈었다. 파괴형상과 완전탄소성 분석을 통해서도 핀에 의한 전단내력으로부터의 취성파괴가 아닌 연성거동을 나타내며, 접합내력이 상승하고 부재의 일체화가 이루어짐을 확인하였다. 반면, GFRP rod를 삽입 접착한 실험체는 접착 불량으로 측정이 불가하거나 접합성능이 매우 낮게 측정되었다.

브라켓 부착시 레진 베이스의 두께에 따른 전단결합강도와 파절양상에 관한 연구 (SHEAR BOND STRENGTH AND FAILURE PATTERNS ACCORDING TO THE THICKNESS OF RESIN BASE IN BRACKET BONDING)

  • 본 연구는 브라켓 간접부착술식시 레진 베이스의 두께에 따른 전단결합강도와 파절양상을 비교함으로써 레진 베이스 두께 증가시 전단결합강도의 저하여부를 평가하기 위하여 시행되었다. 소의 하악 절치를 포매하여 만든 레진블럭에 micromanipulator를 사용하여 치면과 브라켓 기저면 사이의 광중합형 접착제가 0.0, 0.5, 1.0, 1.5, 2.0 mm두께가 되도록 각각 브라켓을 부착한 다음 만능물성시험기를 이용하여 치면으로부터 하중 위치까지의 거리를 일정하게 유지하면서 레진 베이스의 두께를 증가시킨 경우와 레진 베이스 두께의 증가와 함께 치면으로부터 하중 위치까지의 거리를 증가시킨 경우로 나누어 전단결합강도를 측정하고 파절양상을 관찰하여 다음과 같은 결과를 얻었다. 1. 치면으로부터 하중 위치까지의 거리를 일정하게 유지한 경우 레진 베이스 두께의 증가와 함께 브라켓 기저부로부터 하중 위치까지의 거리가 감소함에 따라 전단결합강도가 유의하게 증가하였다. 2. 레진 베이스 두께의 증가와 함께 치면으로부터 하중 위치까지의 거리를 증가시킨 경우 전단결합강도가 감소하는 것으로 나타났으나 그 유의차는 미미하였다. 3. 접착제 잔류지수를 이용하여 레진 베이스의 두께에 따른 파절양상을 비교 관찰한 결과 유의한 차이를 보이지 않았다. 이상의 실험결과를 볼 때 브라켓 부착시 레진 베이스의 두께에 따른 전단결합강도는 브라켓 기저부로부터 하중 위치까지의 거리가 증가함에 따라 감소하는 반면 레진 베이스 두께의 영향은 크게 받지 않는 것으로 나타났다.

  • The purpose of this study was to evaluate the marginal adaptability of the amalgam restorations in applying the cavity varnish (Copalite$^{(R)}$) and dentin bonding agent (Scotchbond 2$^{(R)}$) under the scanning electron microscope. For this study, eighteen sound extracted human molars were selected. Class I cavities in 12 teeth and class V cavities in 6 teeth were prepared using an air turbine with No. 701 tungsten carbide bur and finished using a low speed handpiece with No. 557 fissure bur. The prepared specimens were then divided into three groups including 4 class I cavities and 2 class V cavities in each group and restored as follows ; Group I. All the prepared cavities were restored with amalgam only (Control). Group II. Two layers of Copalite$^{(R)}$ cavity varnish were applied to the cavities with a gentle stream of air after each application and cavities were restored with amalgam. Group III. The enamel cavity margins were etched with 37% phosphoric acid gel for 60 sec., rinsed for 30 sec. and dried. One layer of visible lightcured Scotchbond Dental Adhesive$^{(R)}$ was applied and immediately cured for 20 seconds with visible light-cure unit and cavities were restored with amalgam. All the specimens were cut at the neck of the teeth and the occlusal halves of specimens were sectioned buccolingually in the longitudinal axis centering the amalgam restorations, using the disk. The cut specimens were ground with sandpapers (400, 600, 800, 1000 grit), and cleaned for 5 minutes in the ultrasonic cleaner (Brason Co. U.S.A.). In the cut surfaces, the amalgam - tooth interfaces were examined under the scanning electron microscope (JSM, 35C type, JEOL). The obtained results were as follows ; 1. The amalgam-tooth interfaces were reduced more significantly in the Copalite$^{(R)}$ and Scotchbond 2$^{(R)}$ application group than in the control group. 2. In the class I cavities, the Scotchbond 2$^{(R)}$ application group showed the findings similar to the Copalite$^{(R)}$ application group in the cavity floor, and the marginal adaptability was better in the side wall than in the cavity floor. 3. In the class I cavities, the Scotchbond 2$^{(R)}$ application group showed better marginal adaptability in the occlusal margin than in the gingival margin. 4. The marginal adaptability was in the order of the Scothbond 2$^{(R)}$ application group, the Copalite$^{(R)}$ application group and the control group.

멀티 플립칩 본딩용 비전도성 접착제(NCP)의 열전도도에 미치는 미세 알루미나 필러의 첨가 영향 (Effect of Fine Alumina Filler Addition on the Thermal Conductivity of Non-conductive Paste (NCP) for Multi Flip Chip Bonding)

  • 실리콘 칩을 적층하는 3D 멀티 플립칩 패키지의 경우 방열문제가 대두됨에 따라 접착 접합부의 열전도도 향상이 요구되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 플립칩 본딩용 비전도성 접착제(NCP)에 있어서 알루미나 필러의 첨가가 NCP의 물성 및 열전도도에 미치는 영향을 조사하였다. 알루미나 필러는 미세피치 플립칩 접속을 위해 평균입도 400 nm의 미세분말을 사용하였다. 알루미나 필러 함량이 0~60 wt%까지 증가함에 따라 60 wt% 첨가 시 0.654 W/mK에 도달하였다. 이는 동일 첨가량 실리카의 0.501 W/mK보다는 높은 열전도도이지만, 동일 함량의 조대한 알루미나 분말을 첨가한 경우에 비해서는 낮은 열전도도로, 미세 플립칩 본딩을 위해 입도가 미세한 분말을 첨가하는 것은 열전도도에 있어서는 불리한 효과로 작용함을 알 수 있었다. NCP의 점도는 40 wt% 이상에서 급격히 증가하는 현상을 나타내었는데, 이는 미세 입도에 따른 필러 간 상호작용의 증가에 기인하는 것으로, 미세피치 플립칩 본딩을 위해 열전도도가 우수한 미세 알루미나 분말을 사용하기 위해서는 낮은 점도를 유지하면서 필러 첨가량을 증가시킬 수 있는 분산방안이 필요한 것으로 판단되었다.
