  • In this paper, high efficiency power amplifier is implemented with high gain amplifier. Two-stage amplifier using adaptive bias control circuit improve efficiency at low input power. Fixed bias circuit and adaptive bias circuit both have about 76 % efficiency at maximum power level. However amplifier using an adaptive bias control circuit has 70 % at 6 dBm input power level when the amplifier using fixed bias circuit has 50%. The proposed power amplifier using the adaptive bias control circuit can have high efficiency at lower power level.

  • This paper presents the reconfigurable flight controller in the presence of jammed actuator fault using the adaptive sliding mode control scheme. It is developed under the assumption that the control surface fault cannot be detected and the positions of stuck control surfaces are unknown. It is well known that sliding mode controller shows good performance for the systems with various uncertainties. None-operating stuck actuator makes the system behave like bias which degrades the system performance and sometimes destabilizes the system. Therefore, the bias term generated by actuator faults has to be compensated by the control system. To the objective, we adopt the adaptive sliding mode cont...

  • A DMB CMOS power amplifier (PA) with high efficiency and linearity is present. For this work, a 0.13-um standard CMOS process is employed and all components of the proposed PA are fully integrated into one chop including output matching network and adaptive bias control circuit. To improve the efficiency and linearity simultaneously, an adaptive bias control circuit is adopted along with second harmonic termination circuit at the drain node. The PA is shown a $P_{1dB}$ of 16.64 dBm, power added efficiency (PAE) of 38.31 %, and power gain of 24.64 dB, respectively. The third-order intermodulation (IMD3) and the fifth-order intermodulation (IMD5) have been -24.122 dBc and -37.156 dBc, respectively.

  • This paper reports an adaptive positive feedback bias control technique for operational transconductance amplifiers to adjust the bias current based on the output current monitored by a current replica circuit. This technique enables operational transconductance amplifiers to quickly adapt their power consumption to various analog workloads when they are configured with negative feedback. To prove the concept, a test voltage follower is fabricated in $0.5-{\mu}m$ CMOS technology. Measurement result shows that the power consumption of the test voltage follower is approximately linearly proportional to the load capacitance, the signal frequency, and the signal amplitude for sinusoidal inputs as well as square pulses.

  • In this paper, a high-efficiency power amplifier is implemented by using a drain bias control circuit operated at low input power for WPT(Wireless Power Transfer). Adaptive bias control circuit was added to high-efficiency class-E amplifier. It was possible to obtain the overall improvement in efficiency by adjusting the drain bias at low input power. The proposed adaptive class-E amplifier is implemented by using the input and output matching network and serial resonant circuit for improvement in efficiency. Drain bias control circuit consists of a directional coupler, power detector, and operational amplifier for adjusting the drain bias according to the input power. The measured results show that output powers of 41.83 dBm were obtained at 13.56 MHz. At this frequency, we have obtained the power added efficiency(PAE) of 85.67 %. It was confirmed increase of PAE of an average of 8 % than the fixed bias from the low input power level of 0 dBm ~ 6 dBm.

  • In this paper, a GNSS interference detection algorithm based on an adaptive fading Kalman filter is proposed to detect a spoofing signal which is one of the threatening GNSS intentional interferences. To detect and mitigate the spoofing signal, the fading factor of the filter is used as a detection parameter. For simulation, the effect of the spoofing signal is modeled by the ramp type bias error of the pseudorange to emulate a smart spoofer and the change of the fading factor value according to ramp type bias error is quantitatively analyzed. In addition, the detection threshold is established to detect the spoofing signal by analyzing the change of the error covariance and the effect of spoofing is mitigated by controlling the Kalman gain of the filter. To verify the performance analysis of the proposed algorithm, various simulations are implemented. Through the results of simulations, we confirmed that the proposed algorithm works well.

  • A sueueing model is developed and analyzed to evaluate the performance of a local and a remote destination of one multicast connection subject to a simple two-level(binary) feedback-based adaptive rate control scheme. The reate control scheme is a simple extension of the one for point-to-point case. Individual cell loss probabilities at the local and remote destinations are obtained to study the fairness of the adaptive rate control scheme. Numerical results show that this simple adaptive rate control scheme, which is fair when it is applied to a multicast connection consisting of destinations with equal propagation delays, bears bias against remote destination.

  • In this paper, bias control circuit structure have been employed to improve the power added efficiency of the CMOS class-E power amplifier on low input power level. The gate and drain bias voltage has been controlled with the envelope of the input RF signal. The proposed CMOS class-E power amplifier using bias controlled circuit has been improved the PAE on low output power level. The operating frequency is 2.14GHz and the output power is 22dBm to 25dBm. In addition to, it has been evident that the designed the structure has showed more than a 80% increase in PAE for flatness over all input power level, respectively.

  • The separation of scintillation phenomena concurrent with rain attenuation phenomena can be accomplished by filtering. Based on the analysis of satellite signal fading during rain, scintillation and rain attenuation phenomena are examined and extracting from raw data by using adaptive IIR high-pass filter and adaptive IIR low-pass filter. Adaptive IIR filter are designed by using the algorithm of Least Mean p-Power (LMP) Error Criterion which have been modified by Quantizing Gradient technique. This algorithm reduces amount of multiplication computational equal to the length of input data. It is prove here that the convergence speed, variance, bias independence on p values. For this application, p=1 is chosen. The procedure of application ...
