복부 손상을 동반한 흉부손상 환자의 외과적 치료 (Surgical Treatment of Thoracic Injuries Combined with Abdominal Injuries)

  • Recently, the trauma patients have been markedly increasing due to the vast increase of traffic accident, industrial disaster, incidental accident and violence. The authors have analysed of 22 patients of thoracic injuries combined with abdominal injuries and summarized as follows. The ratio of male to female was 3.4:1 and their age distribution was from 5 years to 68 years and mean age was 34.4 years. The etiologies of injury were traffic accident, stab wound, fall down and violence. Associated injuries were fractures, bowel perforation, kidney rupture, head injury, liver laceration, spleen rupture and so forth. The modes of treatment were closed thoracostomy, repair of diaphragm, ruptured bowel repair, explo-thoracotomy, splenectomy, hepatic lobectomy in this order of frequency. The postoperative complications were atelectasis, wound infection, pneumonia, empyema, acute renal failure, respiratory failure and bleeding. The mortality rate was 13.6% [3/22 and the causes of death were respiratory failure 1 case, acute renal failure 1 case and hypovolemic shock 1 case.

노인 뇌졸중환자의 변비완화를 위한 탄산수 음용의 효과 (Effects of Carbonated Water Intake on Constipation in Elderly Patients Following a Cerebrovascular Accident)

  • Purpose: This study was done to identify effects of carbonated water intake on constipation in elders who have experienced a cerebrovascular accident (CVA) and are bed-ridden. Methods: Forty elderly patients with CVA were randomly assigned to one of two groups in a double-blind study. Patients in the experimental group drank carbonated water and those in the control group drank tap water for two weeks. Six patients dropped out during the study period. Data were analyzed by repeated measured ANCOVA and the covariance was the dose of laxatives used for the two weeks. Results: Frequency of defecation increased significantly and symptoms of constipation decreased significantly for patients in the experimental group. Conclusion: The study results suggest that the intake of carbonated water is an effective method for the intervention of constipation in elderly patients with CVA.

  • The mortality rate of car-pedestrian accidents is quite high compared to the frequency of accident. Recently, governments and insurance companies tend to establish and implement new safety standards for pedestrian protection such as EURO-NCAP and K-NCAP. The performance for the pedestrian protection has been gradually improved, but it is still insufficient. Therefore, various studies for the pedestrian protection are being carried out. The car-pedestrian accident is simulated in order to study to the upper legform test of the EURO-NCAP protocol. A pedestrian dummy model is employed and the results are discussed.

한국철도의 위험도 평가방안에 관한 연구 (Risk Assessment for Railway Related Accidents in Korea)

  • This paper presents the procedures and the results conducted by the proposed one for the risk assessment based on the accident statistics in the Korean railway. Approximately 1200 accident data were used for this study, and risk models were developed to describe the potential hazards. A risk assessment was conducted using the potential problem analysis technique qualitatively. Additionally, this study performed a regional risk assessment. The results of this study showed that the risks for collisions between trains and derailment are relatively low. However, grade crossing and public accident and accidents of workers on tracks take high risks. A large number of accidents is concentrated on the three regions such as Suwon, Chunan, and Chungrangri.

  • In order to apply to analysis methods of mechanism and cross tabulation methods for the influence factors by the accident types to the object of accidents which occurred in R.C and P.C methods among the accidents in construction work sites, the latent hazards in P.C method are evaluated from the data of accidents in H Company from Jan. 1, 1993 to Dec. 31, 1993. The relationship between accident types and unsafe acts, unsafe conditions are recognized and the hazards of R.C method and P.C method are compared from the data acquired by the analysis of causes for a kind of occurrence mechanism. In conclusions, the items such as causes of accidents, accidents types, occurrence time, and the characteristics, are concentrated on one side in the P.C method, which is quite different from R.C method. Therefore the control method for the accident causes is easily established with a lot of effective advantages. The frequency and severity of accidents in P.C method are so low in comparison with R.C method.

  • Recently, occurrence of alcohol-involved traffic accidents is increasing while all the accidents by violation of law except drunk driving. Traffic accidents by drunk driving has a great external cost. In detecting drunk driving, blood alcohol content Many studies reported close correlation between blood alcohol content and traffic accidents by drunk driving. The risk of traffic accidnet increases exponentially as blood alcohol content increases. To control traffic accidents by drunk driving, decide target population. Heavy drinkers are few and responsible for a small part of the loss while casual drinkers are many and responsible for a large part of the loss. Casual drinkers need to be included in the targer population for the control of traffic accident by drunk driving. Stragegies to reduce the quantity of alcohol consumed, change the pattern of drink, such as frequency of drinking, raise of perceived risk of accident need to be sought.

  • 본 연구는 컨테이너터미널의 리스크 관리 방안으로 터미널 내의 안전사고를 중심으로 운영사의 사고유형에 따라 각 사고의 발생빈도와 심각도를 산정한 후 상대적인 리스크를 평가하였다. 상대적인 리스크를 기준으로 리스크 감소 대책에 대한 우선순위를 선정하였으며 각 안전사고 유형에 대한 리스크 관리 방안을 제안하였다.

해양사고 종류별 선원의 행동오류 식별 (Identifying Seafarer's Behavioral Error by Marine Accident Type)

  • 해양사고를 야기한 선원들의 행동오류 식별은 해양사고 예방, 저감 또는 억제에 중요한 단서가 된다. 본 연구의 목적은 SRKBB(Skill-, Rule-, and Knowledge Based Behavior) 이론을 이용하여 해양사고 종류별로 선원들의 행동오류를 식별하는데 있다. 행동오류 식별을 위하여 9년간(2008~2016)의 해양사고 재결서 1,744건에 기록된 사고내용을 수집한 후, 사고를 야기한 선원들의 행동오류를 SBBE(Skill-Based Behavioral Error), RBBE(Rule-Based Behavioral Error), KBBE(Knowledge-Based Behavioral Error) 세 가지 종류로 분류하였다. 행동오류 분류를 위하여 SRKBB 이론을 적용한 행동오류 분류용 프레임워크를 제안하고, 이 프레임워크를 이용하여 행동오류 데이터를 구축하였다. 사고종류별 행동오류의 빈도를 분석한 결과, 충돌사고는 SBBE가 가장 높은 빈도로 관측되었고, 이어서 RBBE가 두 번째로 높은 빈도로 관측되었다. 이에 반하여 좌초, 전복 및 침몰 등의 사고는 KBBE 중에서 높은 빈도로 관측되었다. 연구결과, 해양사고 종류별로 선원들의 행동오류 식별이 가능하였고, 해양사고 종류별 사고 예방에 필요한 선원들의 행동오류 보정에 관한 단서를 확보할 수 있었다.

  • 화학물질 사고는 신속한 대응 및 복구가 어렵고, 환경오염과 인명피해가 동반된다는 점에서 매뉴얼의 중요성이 점차 주목받고 있으며, OECD에서는 화학사고 예방, 대비 및 대응을 위한 OECD 지침서(이하 OECD 지침서)를 2023년 6월 개정하였다. 또한, 기존 연구에서는 화학사고에 대한 인식 제고를 통해 법규, 규정, 매뉴얼 등 시스템적 대응이 필요하다는 점을 강조하고 있으나. 매뉴얼에 대한 정보속성 비교연구는 찾아보기 힘들었다. 이에, 본 연구는 기존 OECD 지침서(2판)와 개정된 OECD 지침서(3판)을 비교분석하여 OECD 지침서별 정보속성을 파악하고 시사점을 발굴하는 것을 목표로 하였다. 세부적으로는 어떤 단어가 중요해졌는지 파악하기 위해 TF-IDF(Term Frequency-Inverse Document Frequency) 분석을 적용하였으며, 유사하게 사용한 단어와 차별성있게 사용한 단어를 파악하기 위해 Word2Vec을 적용하였다. 최종적으로는 2X2 매트릭스를 제안하고, 각 사분면에 어떤 단어들이 있는지를 도출하여 OECD 지침서별 정보속성을 심층적으로 비교하였다. 본 연구는 연구자들이 정보속성을 파악하는데 도움이 되는 프레임워크를 제공하고자 하였으며, 실무적으로는 국내 화학관련 정부부처 및 기업의 표준메뉴얼 개정에 참고할 수 있을 것으로 보인다.
