The interdisciplinary study explores the discussion of actual infinity between Georg Cantor and Roman Catholic Church. Regarding the actual infinity, we first trace the theological background of Cantor by interpreting his correspondence and major works including ${\ddot{U}}ber$ die verschiedenen Standpunkte in bezug auf das aktuelle Unendliche(1885) and Mitteilungen zur Lehre vom Transfiniten (1887), and then investigate his argumentation for two points at issue: (1) pantheism and (2) inconsistency of the necessity with freedom of God. In terms of mathematics and theology, Cantor defined the actual infinity(aphorismenon) as characterized by (1) the transfinite infinity(Transfinitum) and (2) the absolute infinity(Absolutum). Transfinitum is conceptualized here in mathematical terms as a multipliable actual infinity, whereas Absolutum is not as a multipliable actual infinity. The results imply that Cantor's own concept of Transfinitum and Absolutum is adequate for Roman Catholic theology as well as mathematics including the reflection principle.

Self-calibration에서 3차원 좌표의 복원은 호모그래피 행렬 H를 계산하면 얻을 수 있다. 이 호모그래피 행렬을 얻는 방법은 dual absolute quadric, Kruppa Equation(dual conic), plane at infinity(modulus constraint)를 사용하는 방법과 같이 세 가지 방법이 일반적으로 사용된다. 제안하는 방식은 dual absolute quadric을 사용한다. 카메라 내부 속성이 모든 뷰에서 동일하고 비틀림이나 영상의 원점이 중심이라는 가정을 두고 호모그래피 행렬 H를 계산한다. 실험을 통해서 주어진 가정으로 정밀한 복원이 가능함을 보였다.

칸토르에 의해서 과학적으로 불가침의 영역이었던 무한이 실무한으로 정의되고 무한의 논리가 성립될 수 있었다. 칸토르의 무한수학과 무한신학을 통하여, 이 연구에서는 수학과 물리 세계와 관련된 실무한의 의미를 고찰하고, 모든 실무한을 넘어서는 절대무한으로서의 신의 속성이 함의하는 의미를 논의한다.

We study how to distinguish the parameters of the sparse autoregressive (AR) process from zero using a non-convex penalized estimation. A class of non-convex penalties are considered that include the smoothly clipped absolute deviation and minimax concave penalties as special examples. We prove that the penalized estimators achieve some standard theoretical properties such as weak and strong oracle properties which have been proved in sparse linear regression framework. The results hold when the maximal order of the AR process increases to infinity and the minimal size of true non-zero parameters decreases toward zero as the sample size increases. Further, we construct a practical method to select tuning parameters using generalized information criterion, of which the minimizer asymptotically recovers the best theoretical non-penalized estimator of the sparse AR process. Simulation studies are given to confirm the theoretical results.

In this paper, we investigate the fundamental performance limits of the cooperative sensing using energy detection by considering the unlimited number of sensing nodes. Although a lot of cognitive radio research so far proposed various uses of energy detection because of its simplicity, the performance limits of energy detection have not been studied when a large number of sensing nodes exist. First, we show that when the sensing nodes see the independent and identically distributed channel conditions, then as the number of sensing nodes N goes to infinity, the OR rule of hard decision achieves zero of false alarm Pf for any given target probability of detection $\bar{P_d}$ irrespective of the non-zero received primary user signal to noise ratio ${\gamma}$. Second, we show that under the same condition, when the AND rule of hard decision is used, there exists a lower bound of $P_f$. Interestingly, however, for given $\bar{P_d}$, $P_f$ goes to 1 as N goes to infinity. Third, we show that when the soft decision is used, there exists a way of achieving 100% utilization of secondary user, i.e., the sensing time overhead ratio goes to zero so does $P_f$.We verify our analyses by performing extensive simulations of the proposed unlimited cooperative sensing. Finally, we suggest a way of incorporating the unlimited cooperative sensing into a practical cellular system such as long term evolutionadvanced by exploiting the existing frame structure of absolute blank subframe to implement the in-band sensing.

The bi-material elastic system consisting of the pre-stressed hollow cylinder and pre-stresses surrounding infinite elastic medium is considered and it is assumed that the mentioned initial stresses in this system are caused with the compressing or stretching uniformly distributed normal forces acting at infinity in the direction which is parallel to the cylinder's axis. Moreover, it is assumed that on the internal surface of the cylinder the ring load which moves with constant velocity acts and within these frameworks it is required to determine the influence of the aforementioned initial stresses on the critical velocity of the moving load. The corresponding investigations are carried out within the framework of the so-called three-dimensional linearized theory of elastic waves in initially stresses bodies and the axisymmetric stress-strain state case is considered. The "moving coordinate system" method is used and the Fourier transform is employed for solution to the formulated mathematical problem and Fourier transformation of the sought values are determined analytically. However, the originals of those are determined numerically with the use of the Sommerfeld contour method. The critical velocity is determined from the criterion, according to which, the magnitudes of the absolute values of the stresses and displacements caused with the moving load approaches an infinity. Numerical results on the influence of the initial stresses on the critical velocity and interface normal and shear stresses are presented and discussed. In particular, it is established that the initial stretching (compressing) of the constituents of the system under consideration causes a decrease (an increase) in the values of the critical velocity.

동시성 현상으로서 이해되는 주역 점(占)을 체험하기 위해서는 사람이 곤경에 처했을 때, 즉 의식이 한계에 도달했을 때 진지한 마음으로 물음을 던지는 종교적 자세(religo)가 전제되어야 한다. 그것은 단지 수동적인 자세가 아니라 지금 내가 무엇을 할 수 있는지를 묻는, 겸손하지만 적극적인 자세이다. 초의식과 접속하여 신탁을 얻는 주역 점의 체험은 의식의 자아가 무의식의 원형과 대화와 토론을 시도하는 적극적 명상과 일맥상통하며, '무의식의 절대지, 자기원형의 리듬을 찾아가는 과정'이다. 나는 부친상을 당하기 1달 전, 대화가 불가능한 아버지를 간병하면서 '지금 아버지와 나를 위해 무엇을 할 수 있습니까?' 라는 질문을 던지고 주역 점을 쳐서 주역의 19번째 괘, 지택 임괘(地澤 臨卦)초구 '함림정길(咸臨貞吉), 지행정야(志行正也)'를 점괘로 얻었다. 이 점괘를 통해 자연의 섭리에 '기쁘게 순종'하면서 겨울 뒤에 찾아올 봄을 기다리는 심정으로 죽음 이후 생을 기다리는 자세, 그리고 통속적인 이해타산을 넘어서는 인간 마음 속에서 우러나오는, 무한한 것(분석심리학적 용어로는 '자기[Self]')과의 만남에서 얻은 감동을 굳건한 마음으로 지켜가는 것이 인생의 참뜻을 바르게 행하는 것임을 나는 배울 수 있었다. 그리고 부친상 6개월 전에 꾼, '저승'에 대한 꿈에서 '죽음 뒤에도 이어지는 것이 있다는 것이 진실'이라는 직접적인 메시지의 충격 이외에도 확충의 과정을 통해 드러난 폐쇄 병동과 황천의 유사성-내향화를 통한 정신의 재생, 하얀 철문-, '영원을 향한 창문'을 통해 통과의례를 거쳐 새로운 것을 받아들이려는, 열린 태도의 중요성을 배웠다. 그리고 천주교의 교리 '성인의 통공'-산 자와 죽은 자가 서로를 도우며 나선형으로 순환하는 과정-이 우리의 정신 내에서 의식과 무의식이 상호작용하는 개성화 과정의 상징으로서 뿐만 아니라 실제일 수도 있다는 조그마한 희망을 아버지의 장례식에서 진행된 '연도(煉禱)'의례를 통해 어렴풋이 품게 되었다. 그리고 인생에서 만난 많은 인연들의 조문을 통해 받은 위로 속에서 무한한 것과 접촉하여 맺어지는 길은 바로 눈 앞에 있는 존재들과 사랑하는 것이 그 시작이라는 답을 나는 우선 얻었다. 이러한 연속적인 체험을 분석심리학적 입장에서 이해하고자 했다.
