GLOBAL AXISYMMETRIC SOLUTIONS TO THE 3D NAVIER-STOKES-POISSON-NERNST-PLANCK SYSTEM IN THE EXTERIOR OF A CYLINDER

  • In this paper we prove global existence and uniqueness of axisymmetric strong solutions for the three dimensional electro-hydrodynamic model based on the coupled Navier-Stokes-Poisson-Nernst-Planck system in the exterior of a cylinder. The key ingredient is that we use the axisymmetry of functions to derive the Lp interpolation inequalities, which allows us to establish all kinds of a priori estimates for the velocity field and charged particles via several cancellation laws.

  • A new restoration method of chest X -ray image (dual project filter) was proposed to improve SNR(signal to noise ratio) characteristics. In this method, a priori Information of system and anatomical structure and statistics of projected object are used in the design of filter. Dual projection filter varies its parameters, adapting to the local regions of chest(lung region, mediasternum, subdiaphragm) and the structure of chest (bone, tissue, blood vessel, bronchia). The performance of Dual Projection Filter was 0.1-0.2dB better than Dual Sensor Wiener Filter, which was used for initial estimate of Dual Porjection Filter.

Force-finding of Tensegrity Structure using Optimization Technique

  • A simple force-finding process based on an optimization technique is proposed for tensegrity structures. For this purpose, the inverse problem of form-finding process is formulated. Therefore, the position vector of nodes and element connectivity information are provided as priori. Several benchmark tests are carried out to demonstrate the performance of the present force-finding process. In particular, the force density distributions of simplex tensegrity are thoroughly investigated with the important parameters such as the radius, height and twisting angle of simplex tensegrity. Finally, the force density distribution of arch tensegrity is produced by using the present force-finding process for a future reference solution.

  • This paper presents an algorithm for multipath channel parameter estimation by an improved Prony method. This algorithm applies a modified regularized spectral estimation to the conventional SVD Prony method. This method requires no a priori information on the number of multipath. The performance of the proposed algorithm is almost the same as that of the SVD based multipath channel parameter estimation algorithm.

  • In cases where strong a priori knowledge about the object being analyzed is available, it can be embedded into the formulation of the snake model. When prior knowledge of shape is available for a specific application, information concerning the shape of the desired objects can be incorporated into the formulation of the snake model as an active contour model. In this paper we show Five points algorithm can be applied to design invariant energy.

  • Many control applications using Neural Network need a priori information about the objective system. But it is impossible to get exact information about the objective system in real world. To solve this problem, several control methods were proposed. Reinforcement learning control using neural network is one of them. Basically reinforcement learning control doesn't need a priori information of objective system. This method uses reinforcement signal from interaction of objective system and environment and observable states of objective system as input data. But many methods take too much time to apply to real-world. So we focus on faster learning to apply reinforcement learning control to real-world. Two data types are used for reinforcement learning. One is reinforcement signal data. It has only two fixed scalar values that are assigned for each success and fail state. The other is observable state data. There are infinitive states in real-world system. So the number of observable state data is also infinitive. This requires too much learning time for applying to real-world. So we try to reduce the number of observable states by classification of states with Self-Organizing Map. We also use neural dynamic programming for controller design. An inverted pendulum on the cart system is simulated. Failure signal is used for reinforcement signal. The failure signal occurs when the pendulum angle or cart position deviate from the defined control range. The control objective is to maintain the balanced pole and centered cart. And four states that is, position and velocity of cart, angle and angular velocity of pole are used for state signal. Learning controller is composed of serial connection of Self-Organizing Map and two Multi-layer Feed-Forward Neural Networks.

오일러 디컨벌루션을 사전정보로 이용한 3 차원 중력 역산 (3D gravity inversion with Euler deconvolution as a priori information)

  • 고해상도를 가지는 지하 밀도 영상을 얻기 위한 3 차원 중력 역산은 모델 변수들이 급격하게 많아지는 문제가 발생한다. 이 논문에서는 모델 변수들의 수를 줄이기 위해서 오일러 디컨벌루션의 해를 사전정보로 활용하는 3 차원 중력역산을 제안하였다. 이 논문에서 고안한 역산 알고리즘의 핵심은 오일러 디컨벌루션의 해가 얻어진 주위로 역산 공간을 제한하여 역산 해의 비유일성을 줄인 점이다. 먼저 중력 자료에 대한 3 차원 오일러 디컨별루션의 해를 구하고, 오일러 디컨벌루션의 해가 나타나는 주위에서만 3 차원 확장 탐색 역산을 수행하여 지하 밀도 영상을 구하였다. 이 3 차원 중력 역산 방법은 합성 모델에 적용하여 그 성능을 검증하였고, 석회암 지대에 존재하는 공동의 분포를 밝히기 위한 고정밀 중력탐사 자료 역산에도 적용하였다. 결과적으로, 오일러 디컨벌루션의 해를 사전정보로 이용한 역산을 이용하여 분해능이 향상된 고해상도의 지하 멸도 영상을 구할 수 있었다.

On Choice of Kautz functions Pole and its Relation with Accuracy in System Identification

  • A linear time-invariant model can be described either by a parametric model or by a nonparametric model. Nonparametric models, for which a priori information is not necessary, are basically the response of the dynamic system such as impulse response model and frequency models. Parametric models, such as transfer function models, can be easily described by a small number of parameters. In this paper aiming to take benefit from both types of models, we will use linear-combination of basis fuctions in an impulse response using a few parameters. We will expand and generalize the Kautz functions as basis functions for dynamical system representations and we will consider estimation problem of transfer functions using Kautz function. And so we will present the influences of poles settings of Kautz function on the identification accuracy.
