  • Zero Knowledge Proof (ZKP) is an innovative decentralized technology designed to enhance the privacy and security of virtual currency transactions. By ensuring that only the necessary information is disclosed by the transaction provider, ZKP protects the confidentiality of all parties involved. This ensures that both the identity of the transacting parties and the transaction value remain confidential.ZKP not only provides a robust privacy function by concealing the identities and values involved in blockchain transactions but also facilitates the exchange of money between parties without the need to verify each other's identity. This anonymity feature is crucial in promoting trust and security in financial transactions, making ZKP a pivotal technology in the realm of virtual currencies. In the context of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, the application of ZKP contributes significantly to the comprehensive and stable development of financial services. It fosters a trustworthy user environment by ensuring that transaction privacy is maintained, thereby encouraging broader adoption of virtual currencies. By integrating ZKP, financial services can achieve a higher level of security and trust, essential for the continued growth and innovation within the sector.

  • According to the recent revision of Privacy Policy and the emerging importance of personal information, cooperations must verify customer identity (Know Your Costomer, KYC) while processing and managing this information so that it does not violate the Privacy Policy. One of the solution of this problem is zero-knowledge proof (ZKP). The use of the ZKP enables to verify the identity without exposing the identity information directly, thereby reducing the burden on the management of personal information while fulfilling the obligation of the cooperations to verify the identity. The ZKP could be employed to many other applications. In this paper, we analyze the ZKP technique and its applications currently being actively studied.

  • Decentralized SSI(Self Sovereign Identity) has become an alternative to a new digital identity solution, but an efficient de-identification technique has not been proposed due to the unique algorithmic characteristics of data transactions. In this study, to ensure the decentralized operation of SSI, we propose a de-identification technique that does not remove identifiers by restructuring the verification results of ZKP (Zero Knowledge Proof) into a form that can be provided to the outside by the verifier. In addition, it is possible to provide restructured de-identification data without the consent of data subject by proposing the concept of differential sovereignty management for each entity participating in verification. As a result, the proposed model satisfies the domestic personal information protection law in a decnetralized SSI, in addition provides secure and efficient de-identification processing and sovereignty management.

  • The authentication process is a key step that should be used to verify that a user is legitimate, and it should be used to verify that a user is a legitimate user and grant access only to that user. Recently, two-factor authentication and OTP schemes are used by most applications to add a layer of security to the login process and to address the vulnerability of using only one factor for authentication, but this method also allows access to user accounts without permission. This is a known security vulnerability. In this paper, we propose a Zero Knowledge Proofs (ZKP) personal information authentication scheme based on a Smart Contract of a block chain that authenticates users with minimal personal information exposure conditions. This has the advantage of providing many security technologies to the authentication process based on blockchain technology, and that personal information authentication can be performed more safely than the existing authentication method.

  • As pass the three revised bills, the Personal Information Protection Act was revised to have a larger application for personal information. For an industrial development through an efficient and secure usage of personal information, there is a need to revise the existing anonymity processing method. This paper modifies the Zero Knowledge Proofs algorithm among the anonymity processing methods to modify the anonymity process calculations by taking into account the reliability of the used service company. More detail, the formula of ZKP (Zero Knowledge Proof) used by ZK-SNAKE is used to modify the personal information for pseudonymization processing. The core function of the proposed algorithm is the addition of user variables and adjustment of the difficulty level according to the reliability of the data user organization and the scope of use. Through Setup_p, the additional variable γ can be selectively applied according to the reliability of the user institution, and the degree of agreement of Witness is adjusted according to the reliability of the institution entered through Prove_p. The difficulty of the verification process is adjusted by considering the reliability of the institution entered through Verify_p. SimProve, a simulator, also refers to the scope of use and the reliability of the input authority. With this suggestion, it is possible to increase reliability and security of anonymity processing and distribution of personal information.

  • DID(Decentralized Identity Identification) is a system in which users voluntarily manage their identity, etc., and control the scope and subject of submission of identity information based on a block chain. In the era of the 4th industrial revolution, where the importance of protecting personal information is increasing day by day, DID will surely be positioned as the industrial center of the Internet and e-business. However, when managing personal information, DID is highly likely to cause a large amount of personal information leakage due to electronic infringement, such as hacking and invasion of privacy caused by the concentration of user's identity information on global service users. Therefore, there are a number of challenges to be solved before DID settles into a stable standardization. Therefore, in this paper, we try to examine what problems exist in order to positively apply the development of DID technology, and analyze the improvement plan to become a stable service in the future.

  • In the future society, a means to verify the identity of the information owner is required at the beginning of most services that the information owner encounters, and the emergence and gradual spread of digital identification that proves the identity of the information owner is essential. In addition, as the utilization value of personal information increases, discussions on how to provide personal information are active. Therefore, there is a need for a personal information management method necessary for building a hyper-connected society that is safe from various hacking, forgery, alteration, and theft by allowing the owner to directly manage and provide personal information management. In this study, a decentralized identity information management model that overcomes the problems and limitations of the centralized identity management method of personal information and manages and selectively provides personal information by the information owner himself and implemented a smart personal information provision system(SPIPS: Smart Personal Information Provision System) using a smartphone.

  • With the increasing frequency of incidents related to personal information leaks, there is a growing concern about personal information protection. Moreover, with the emergence of blockchain technology, there is a heightened interest in self-sovereign identity models applied through blockchain, with ongoing research on Decentralized Identifiers (DID) to achieve this. However, despite universities storing and utilizing significant information such as personal data, their computer systems are operated and managed based on centralized systems, leading to annual occurrences of personal data breaches. Therefore, this paper proposes and implements a DID-based computing system applicable within universities. Additionally, it establishes and executes prominent services within the university context. The proposed system ensures users' self-sovereign identities through verifiable credentials, enabling the establishment of a secure integrated information system within the university, departing from traditional centralized systems.
