  • This paper studies Young diagrams of symmetric and pseudo-symmetric numerical semigroups and describes new operations on Young diagrams as well as numerical semigroups. These provide new decompositions of symmetric and pseudo-symmetric semigroups into a numerical semigroup and its dual. It is also given exactly for what kind of numerical semigroup S, the semigroup ring 𝕜⟦S⟧ has at least one Gorenstein subring and has at least one Kunz subring.

  • CAD diagrams generally consists of many basic components: symbols, character, and connection lines. Thus, to recognize the diagrams, it is necessary to extract each components, and understand their meanings and relation among them. This paper describes a method for linking basic components extracted efficiently from hand-down diagrams to OrCAD data format. Experimental results with a hand-drawn diagrams of electronic and logic circuit show utility of the proposed method.

Polynomials and Homotopy of Virtual Knot Diagrams

  • If a virtual knot diagram can be transformed to another virtual one by a finite sequence of crossing changes, Reidemeister moves and virtual moves then the two virtual knot diagrams are said to be homotopic. There are infinitely many homotopy classes of virtual knot diagrams. We give necessary conditions by using polynomial invariants of virtual knots for two virtual knots to be homotopic. For a sequence S of crossing changes, Reidemeister moves and virtual moves between two homotopic virtual knot diagrams, we give a lower bound for the number of crossing changes in S by using the affine index polynomial introduced in [13]. In [10], the first author gave the q-polynomial of a virtual knot diagram to find Reidemeister moves of virtually isotopic virtual knot diagrams. We find how to apply Reidemeister moves by using the q-polynomial to show homotopy of two virtual knot diagrams.

METALLICITIES OF GLOBULAR CLUSTRES M3 AND M5 FROM VI CCD PHOTOMETRY

  • To derive the metallicities of M3 and M5, we used the shape of red giant branch, horizontal branch magnitude, and red giant branch bump on the (V-I)-V color magnitude diagrams. [Fe/H] values ranging -1.46 ∼ -1.69 for M3, and -1.00 ∼ -1.49 for M5 are estimated. These values are in good agreements with the previously determined ones. This result leads the morphologies of red giant and horizontal branches on the (V-I)-V color magnitude diagrams can be good indirect metallicity indicators of galactic globular clusters.

  • Considerable variations in spore productivity were detected within the area of single hymenial surfaces of certain polypores. The hymenium has in irregular patterns, areas of low as well as high spore production, common both in the periphery(young) as well as in the inner(old)part. These have been recorded as isospore diagrams showing that the basidia all over the hymenia are at different stages of development.

트롱프뢰유 패션디자인의 형태 생성 다이어그램에 관한 연구 (Study of the Form Generation Diagrams of Trompe l'oeil Fashion Design)

  • This study examined the visual elements of the Trompe l'oeil design and the combination conditions of each element in order to deduce the form generation diagrams of Trompe l'oeil fashion design. The following is what the study found: First, Trompe l'oeil fashion design can be divided into two based on its subject: 'the combination of internal elements of dress' and 'the combination of external elements of dress'. Looking at the visual components of each type, depending on the subject, 'the combination of internal elements of dress' design was achieved by combining internal dress elements: including textile, detail, item, accessory, layering, etc.. In case of 'the combination of external elements of dress' design, the object of Trompe l'oeil was expanded in scope to environment, which includes the actions of a wearer. Second, as for Trompe l'oeil fashion design through the combination of external dress elements, the condition to combined visual components of the work in the process of creation was related to 'the popularity of object', 'the similarity of shapes and sizes', and 'the probability of location'. Third, deriving a form generation diagrams of Trompe l'oeil fashion design was very effective in delineating specific relationships and conditions, directions among elements combined in fashion design.

『소문(素問)·기궐론(氣厥論)』의 오장(五臟)의 한열(寒熱)이 전이(傳移)되는 원리(原理)에 대한 고찰(考察) (A Study on the principle of Heat and Cold metastasis among the Five Viscera on the Gigualron of Somun(素問·氣厥論))

  • Objectives : The metastasis among the Five Viscera are given, passim, in the Hwangjenaegyeong (黃帝內經). Generally, the metastasis among the Five Viscera followed 'mutual generation' and 'mutual overcoming' of the Five Elements. But, the metastasis among the Five Viscera on the Gi Gual Ron not followed. The metastasis are connected with the Eight Diagrams. The Eight Diagrams are classified 'Earlier Heaven' and 'Later Heaven'. It also be assigned the Five Elements. Results : The metastasis order and the principle of shift its location from 'Earlier Heaven' to 'Later Heaven' are similar. Conclusions : Therefore, the metastasis among the Five Viscera on the Gi Gual Ron is based on the law of shift its location from 'Earlier Heaven' to 'Later Heaven'.

A CATALOG OF AGB STARS IN IRAS PSC

  • We make a new catalog of AGB stars in our Galaxy from the sources listed in the Infrared Astronomical Satellite (IRAS) point source catalog (PSC) compiling the lists of previous works with verifying processes. We verify the class identification of AGB stars into oxygen-rich and carbon-rich stars using the information from recent investigations. For the large sample of AGB stars, we present infrared two-color diagrams from the observations at near infrared bands and IRAS PSC. On the two-color diagrams, we plot the tracks of theoretical radiative transfer model results with increasing dust shell optical depths. Comparing the observations with the theoretical tracks, we discuss the meaning of the infrared two-color diagrams.

  • OMG가 UML 액티비티 다이어그램에 대한 텍츄얼한 시멘틱을 제공하지만 정확한 시멘틱의 부족으로 인하여 모호해지는 단점이 있다. OMG의 UML 액티비티 다이어그램이 제공하는 가이드로는 워크플로우 시스템의 정확한 시멘틱을 제공하지는 못한다. 이에 본 논문에서는 대안적인 방법으로 ASM을 사용하여 UML 액티비티 다이어그램의 정형화를 제시한다. 또한 워크플로우 시스템의 특성에 맞춰 ASM 시멘틱을 확장한다.
