This study was conducted to examine dietary behaviors according to residence status and ethnicity of university students in Yanbian, China. For the subjects, 334 university students (Male=141, Female=193) answered a questionnaire about perception of weight control, dietary patterns, health habits, residence status, and ethnicity. Perception of weight, meal frequency, favorite kind of food, meal finishing time, skipping breakfast, type of breakfast, snack frequency, late-night snack frequency, exercise frequency, regular life, and sleeping time were all significantly associated with residence status. Motivation of weight control, meal frequency, regularity of meal time, meal volume, favorite kind of food, exercise time, and regular life were all significantly associated with ethnicity. University students who lived with their parents perceived their weight more properly, exhibited a more positive dietary pattern, and lived a more regular life than those students who lived in a dormitory with their friends. Chinese students exhibited a more regular dietary pattern and lived a more regular life than the Korean-Chinese students. As a result, both environmental and inherent factors are related with the dietary behaviors of university students in Yanbian, China. These data could be used to help university students in Yanbian, China attain a healthy diet.

In this paper, using the definition and properties of frequency measurement, we describe the properties of solutions of a difference equation as the initial value belongs to different intervals of the whole domain. We get the main result that if the initial value belongs to [-1, 1] which is different from $\frac{-1{\pm}\sqrt{5}}{2}$, then the solution defined by initial value have two frequent limits 0 and 1 of the same degree 0.5.

China is one of most important countries for production and consumption of herbicide. Although the chemical weeding technology promoted the development of agricultural modernization in Chinese, it led to the negative effects to agriculture. In particular, the weeds resistant herbicide in paddy field had been serious challenge for safe production of rice. The chemical control technology for weed resistant herbicide with effective, low cost and safety characteristic will be key problem being solved in futhure.

This research was conducted to investigate the characteristics of chosun people s dancing garments in Yanbian. The results were as follows : Yanbian dancing garments were generally based on Korean traditional royal-dancing garments or daily dress such as a wonsam, a bokgun, a kwaeja, a chunlip, a chogori, a bachi, and a chima. However, many parts of the dancing garments were transformed or recreated for combative, lively, energetic, and temperate dancing-motions, which represented the ideology of socialism. The transforms or recreations were found in a narrow sleeve of chogori, removal of collar and gorm in chogori, transformed kwaeja and vest, bachi, and flared chima, etc. Chosun people's dancing garments in Yanbin were mainly influenced by those of North Korea. There was great similarity between dancing garments of these two areas. The similarity could result from the acculuration of these two cultures.

Yanbian Korean Autonomous Prefecture(YKAP) possesses the potential to become the first testing ground for the North-East Asian Energy Cooperation in renewable energy sector. We found that production of biodiesel from rapeseed and CHP (Combined Heat and Power Plant) project utilizing abundant forest resources are the two main bioenergy development projects which may have further development potential considering the resource endowments and the focus of Chinese governments' current rural development policy. Provision of stable and transparent investment environments and the development of a close cooperation mechanism between Korea and China government are the prerequisite conditions for investments in the sector. Other international institutional agreements, such as CDM, shall be fully utilized for biomass CHP projects.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the kinds and way of using traditional foods for korean traditional days, and to identify prohibitive foods for pregnant and lactating women, and sick people taking into account the cultural aspects and the belief of korean housewives in Yanbian. The data were collected from August to December of 1995 in Yanbian area of China. The questionaire was designed to find traditional and prohibitive foods for them. The results provide some implications regarding the impact of cultures in understanding the perceptions to traditional foods as well as prohibitive foods. The perception on the development of traditional fast food and traditional food and menu is higher in Yanbian area than in korea but the frequency to use traditional fast food is similar in two areas.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the effects of 4-value orientations on the financial management and the financial satisfaction of high school girls in Yanbian, China and those in South Korea. The subjects were 466 high school girls in Yanbian, China and 498 high school girls in South Korea. Cronbach'a, 1-test, and multiple regression were used as statistical analysis. The results were summarized as follows : 1) Resulting from the t-test, there were significant differences between 3-value orientations, 3-financial management behaviors, and financial satisfaction of the Yanbian girls and those of the Korean girls. 2) Resulting from multiple regression analysis, the financial management behaviors of school girls had the positive linear relationships with the variables such as 3-value orientations and country variable, The financial satisfaction of school girls had the positive linear relationships with the variables such as 4-value orientations and country variable.

This study explored the terminal values(Rokeach's Value) and 5-money spending styles of girls in Yanbian, China and those in South Korea. The subjects were 466 school girls in Yanbian, China and 498 high school girls in South Korea. We used Cronbach' α, t-test, and Pearson correlation analysis as statistical analysis. The results were summarized as follows : 1) at the top of the terminal value hierarchy of girls in the two countries were family security and happiness. 2) resulting from the t-test, there found significant differences between the 5-money spending styles of the Yanbian girls and that of the Korean girls. 3) resoling from the Pearson correlation analysis, there found similarities and differences in relationship between terminal values and money spending styles in two groups.
