For simple undirected graph G=(V,E), L(2,1)-coloring of G is a nonnegative real-valued function f : V → [0,1,…,k] such that whenever vertices x and y are adjacent in G then |f(x)-f(y)|≥ 2 and whenever the distance between x and y is 2, |f(x)-f(y)|≥ 1. For a given L(2,1)-coloring c of graph G, the c-span is λ(c) = max{|c(v)-c(v)||u,v∈V}. L(2,1)-coloring number λ(G) = min{λ(c)} where the minimum is taken over all L(2,1)-coloring c of graph G. In this paper, based on Harary's Theorem, we use Tabu Search to figure out the existence of Hamiltonian Path in a complementary graph and confirmed that if λ(G) is equal to n(=|V|).
Let $Z_1, Z_2, \ldots, Z_l$ be random set functions or intergrals. Then it is possible to discuss their products. In the case of random integrals, $Z_i$ is a random set function indexed y a family, $G_i$ say, of real valued functions g on $S_i$ for which the integrals $Z_i(g) = \smallint gdZ_i$ are well defined. If $g_i = \in g_i (i = 1, 2, \ldots, l) and g_1 \otimes \cdots \otimes g_l$ denotes the tensor product $g(s) = g_1(s_1)g_2(s_2) \cdots g_l(s_l) for s = (s_1, s_2, \ldots, s_l) and s_i \in S_i$, then we can defined $Z(g) = (Z_1 \times Z_2 \times \cdots \times Z_l)(g) = Z_1(g_1)Z_2(g_2) \cdots Z_l(g_l)$.
Leaf and stem explants of Sedum erythrostichum Miq. were cultured on MS medium supplemented with various combinations of growth regulators. After two weeks of culture, 100% of the leaf explants formed calli on medium containing 2.0 mg/L 2, 4-D and 1.0 mg/L BA. Callus proliferated when subcultured on medium containing 2.0 mg/L 2, 4-D and 1.0 mg/L BA. Numerous adventitious buds were regenerated from callus cultured on the medium containing 2.0 mg/L NAA and 1.0 mg/L BA. Root formation from shoot was occurred on the MS basal medium containing 1.0 mg/L IAA.

The corrosion behavior of Hastelloy C-276 was investigated to identify its applicability for carbon-anode-based oxide reduction (OR), in which Cl2 and O2 are simultaneously evolved at the anode. Under a 30 mL·min-1 Cl2 + 170 mL·min-1 Ar flow, the corrosion rate was less than 1 g·m-2·h-1 up to 500℃, whereas the rate increased exponentially from 500 to 700℃. The effects of the Cl2-O2 composition on the corrosion rate at flow rates of 30 mL·min-1 Cl2, 20 mL·min-1 Cl2 + 10 mL·min-1 O2, and 10 mL·min-1 Cl2 + 20 mL·min-1 O2 with a constant 170 mL·min-1 Ar flow rate at 600℃ was analyzed. Based on the data from an 8 h reaction, the fastest corrosion rate was observed for the 20 mL·min-1 Cl2 + 10 mL·min-1 O2 case, followed by 30 mL·min-1 Cl2 and 10 mL·min-1 Cl2 + 20 mL·min-1 O2. The effects of the chlorine flow rate on the corrosion rate were negligible within the 5-30 mL·min-1 range. A surface morphology analysis revealed the formation of vertical scratches in specimens that reacted under the Cl2-O2 mixed gas condition.
GPS provides two services which include SPS(Standard Positioning Service) and PPS(Precise Positioning Service). While SPS users can navigate in more precise due to cancellation of SA(Selective Availability), SPS users has still less precision navigation than PPS users. L1/L2CS integrated receiver can provide more precise navigation to SPS users because the delay of Ionosphere will be cancelled by using two frequencies (L1 and L2). This paper designs an integrated L1/L2CS digital correlator to prepare the L2C signal that will be provided in 2003. Also L2CS transmitter is designed to confirm L2CS correlator.
We have established a high-frequency plant regeneration system via organogenesis from mature seed of Korean lawngrass(Zoysia japonica Steud.). The effects of 2,4-dichiorophenoxy acetic acid (2,4-D), 6-furfuryl amino purine (kinetin), $\alpha$-naphthaiene acetic acid (NAA), N6-benzyl amino pu-rine (BAP), and casein hydrolysate (CR) on cailus induction and multiple shoot formation on ex-posure to light were evaluated. Callus produced on the Murashige and Skoog (MS) medium containing 2,4-D and kinetin had high organogenesis potency. A single addition of 1.0 mg $L-^1$ 2,4-D significantly induced callus. Also, 1.0 mg L-$^1$ 2,4-D, with the addition of 0.1 mg $L-^1$ kinetin highly enlianced callus induction. The trend of cailus induction was also found on mediurn containing 0.1 mg $L-^1$ BAP with 1.0 mg $L-^1$2,4-D, and 1 g $L-^1$ CR with the addition of 1.0 mg $L-^1$ 2,4-D. However, NAA was no effective on callus formation. The growth of root was significantly high in the presence of 0.1 mg $L-^1$ kinetin compared to other concentrations. Over 2 mg $L-^1$ kinetin highly lengthened roots. Fresh weight of plantlet was highest on medium containing 0.1 mg $L-^1$ 2,4-D. Also, on medium containing 0.1 mg $L-^1$ BAP, fresh weight of piantlet was highly enhanced. BAP was significantly effective on multiple shoot formation, particularly when 2.0 mg $L-^1$ was added with 0.1 mg $L-^1$ 2,4-D. Callus induction and multiple shoot formation were achieved on MS basal medium containing 1.0 g $L-^1$ CH.
The problems in the existing modeling rules for fishing nets, especially in the Tauti's rule which had been used most commonly, were investigated and it was found that the rules could not give a good similarity between the prototype and model nets because they din neither analyze the flow resistance of nets accurately nor decide the ratio of flow velocity between the two nets properly. Thus, the modeling rule was newly derived by regarding the nets as holey structures sucking water into their mouth and then filtering water through their meshes as in the previous paper. The similarity conditions obtained, between the two nets distinguished by subscript 1 and 2, are as follows; $$\frac{d_2}{d_1}=\sqrt{\frac{l_2}{l_1}},\;\frac{N_2}{N_1}=(\frac{d_1}{d_2})^{1.5}\frac{L_2}{L_1},\;\varphi_1=\varphi_2,\;\frac{d_{r2}}{d_{r1}}=\sqrt{\frac{L_2{(\rho_{r1}-\rho_{w1})}}{{L_1{(\rho_{r2}-\rho_{w2})}}$$$$\frac{N_{a2}}{N_{a1}}=\frac{W_{a1}}{W_{a2}}(\frac{L_2}{L_1})^2,\;\nu_1=\nu_2\;and\;\frac{R_2}{R_1}=(\frac{L_2}{L_1})^2$$, where L is the length of nettings, d the diameter of netting twines, 2l the mesh size, $2\varphi$ the angle between two adjacent bars, N the number of meshes at the sides of nettings, $d_r$, the diameter of ropes, $\rho_r$, the specific gravity of ropes, $W_a$ the weight in water of one piece of float or sinker, $N_a$ the number of floats or sinkers, $\nu$ the flow velocity, and R the flow resistance of net. In the case where the model experiments aim at investigating the influence of weight in water of nettings on their shapes in nets subjected to the water flow of very low velocity, however, the following condition is added; $$\frac{\rho_2-\rho_{w2}}{\rho_1-\rho_{w1}}=\frac{d_1}{d_2}$$ where $\rho$ is the specific gravity of netting twines.
Present study examines L1 transfer effect and UG involvement in the acquisition of binding properties of Korean as second language (L2). The study especially investigates i) whether knowledge from different L1s (English and Chinese) affect the interpretation of binding in Korean as L2 and ii) whether L2 learners of Korean differentiate two Korean anaphors like Korean monolinguals do, based on their knowledge of universal form-function correlation of anaphors. 53 post-puberty L2 learners of Korean with English or Chinese L1, together with 30 Korean monolinguals, were tested over Truth Value Judgment Task with stories, composed of Korean sentences representing various types of binding with two Korean reflexives - caki and caki-casin. The results showed some effect of L1 transfer, though not always. Overall, late L2 learners of Korean seem to know the difference between the two anaphors in their properties related to form-function correlation, though their performance level was lower compared to Korean monolinguals. Detailed pattern of the results and the role of UG in the interpretations of Korean reflexives are also discussed.
Cotyledon and epicotyl explants of P. aridum and P. zonale formed calli when cultured on MS medium supplemented with 2 mg/L NAA and 0.2 mg/L BA. Calli were subcultured on the same medium Upon transfer to MS medium with 0.1 to 0.5mg/L NAA and 0.25 to 2mg/L BA for P. aridum 0.1 to 0.5mg/L NAA and 1 to 2mg/L BA for P. zonale subcultured calli gave rise to the greatest number of shoots (0.78 shoot for P. aridum and 0.65 shoot per explant for P. zonale, respectively). Most shoots produced roots when cultured on 1/2MS basal medium. The regenerates were transferred to potting soil and grown to materity in a greenhouse.
This study was conducted to investigate the antimicrobial effect of chlorine dioxide ($ClO_2$) on the vase life of cut rose 'Beast' (Rosa hybrida L.). Postharvest treatments to extend the vase life of cut roses were divided into two: holding solution treatment and pulsing solution treatment. In holding solution treatment, the cut roses were treated with preservative solutions containing tap water (TW, control), distilled water (DW), $ClO_2$ 2, 4, 6, and $8{\mu}L{\cdot}L^{-1}$, and compared with a commercialized antimicrobial compound of 8-HQS $200{\mu}L{\cdot}L^{-1}$. In pulsing solution treatment, cut roses were dipped into the $ClO_2$ solutions of 50, 100, 150, 200, and $250{\mu}L{\cdot}L^{-1}$ for 60 seconds and were placed in DW. The air temperature was $18.4^{\circ}C$, RH 51.5%, and light (photosynthetically active radiation, PAR) $3.6{\mu}mol{\cdot}m^{-2}{\cdot}s^{-1}$ with 12 hour day length. The longest vase life of cut roses was observed in the holding solution with $ClO_2$$4{\mu}L{\cdot}L^{-1}$ as 13.8 days and pulsing with $200-250{\mu}L{\cdot}L^{-1}$ as 13.5-13.7 days, where vase life were extended four days longer than TW. Whereas, the inclusion of 8-HQS $200{\mu}L{\cdot}L^{-1}$ in vase solution resulted in phytotoxicity. The relative fresh weight and water uptake have similar tendencies. Bacteria inhibition by $ClO_2$ and 8-HQS were very effective. But bacteria at TW and DW treatments on cut flower with stem were detected in $3.7{\times}10^5CFU{\cdot}L^{-1}$ and $6.3{\times}10^5CFU{\cdot}L^{-1}$, respectively (without stem in DW $1.4{\times}10^4CFU{\cdot}L^{-1}$). The $ClO_2$ contents in holding solution of all treatments were scavenged in two-four days after treatment. This study indicated that $ClO_2$$4{\mu}L{\cdot}L^{-1}$ holding solution treatment and $200-250{\mu}L{\cdot}L^{-1}$ pulsing solution treatment can be applied to extend the postharvest life of cut roses.
