Chickens from 10 to 32 weeks of age were inoculated with P. multocida via seven routs(intravenous, intramuscular, intraperitoneal, subcutaneous, into ear, intranasal, per oral). The development or distribution of disseminated intravascular coagulation (DIC) in multiple organs and the role of P. multocida endotoxins in disease process of fowl cholera were studied. The histological diagnosis of DIC was made by demonstration of fibrinous in arterioles, capillaries, venules and medium-sized blood vessels. The presence of fibrinous thrombi in blood vessels of multiple organs was observed in chickens which died within approximately 3 days post inoculation. Fibrinous thrombi were observed most frequently in the lung(90% of all cases with DIC) followed by liver (70%), kidney (60%), heart(20%), spleen, brain, pancreas, thymus and thyroid gland. The density of fibrinous thrombi (i.e. the number of thrombi per section) was greatest in the lung, followed by spleen, kidney, liver and heart. It is thought that the widespread hemorrhage of acute fowl cholera is also caused by P. multocida endotoxin which initiates DIC in variety of organs. The cause of death for the chickens after infection with acute fowl cholera is probably due to an endotoxin (septic) shock accompanied with DIC in multiple organs.

A dynamic analysis procedure is developed to provide a better estimation of the dynamic responses of bridge during the passage of high speed railway vehicles. Particularly, a three dimensional numerical model including the structural interaction between high speed vehicles, bridges and railway endures to analyse accurately and evaluate with in-depth parametric studies for dynamic responses of various bridge span lengths running KTX railway locomotive up to increasing maximum speed(450km/h). Three dimensional frame element is used to model the simply supported pre-stressed concrete (PSC) box bridges for four span lengths(40~25m). Track irregularity employed as a stationary random process from the given spectral density functions and irregularities of both sides of the track are assumed to have high correlation. The high-speed railway vehicle (KTX) is used as 38-degree of freedom system. Three displacements (Vertical, lateral, and longitudinal) as well as three rotational components (Pitching, rolling, and yawing) are considered in the 38-degree of freedom model. The dynamic amplification factors are evaluated by the developed procedure under various traveling conditions, such as track irregularity camber, train speed and ballast. The dynamic analysis such as Newmark-${\beta}$ and Runge-Kutta methods which are able to analyse considering the dynamic impact factors are compared and contrasted.

The quality of tap water on the whole water-supply system, from a large filtration plant to a private faucet, has to be guaranteed the standards of drinking water. At this point in time, however, the supply process of the tap water has not been monitored and managed scientifically. The piped water, especially the most small-scale reservoirs(underground or overhead type) are always exposed to various contaminations and impurities. Recently monitoring systems of water-quality were spread on some large filtration plants or distributing reservoirs. In particular, the water quality monitoring method using the internet is adopted into some local government whose inhabitants can check up the water quality anytime and anywhere. The construction of this system that has to apply a large scale needs, and has a limitation on the small water-supply system, such as apartments, public facilities and small-scale underground or overhead reservoirs. In this work, we suggest the integration system of individual water-quality sensor modules that have a low price. By using the developed integration system and monitoring program operated on the internet, the system managers of reservoirs can monitor and manage water-quality characteristic values of drinking water in online. Since the proposed system was modularized, the system can be applied easily into various reservoirs with a low cost and regardless of its scale, small or large.

In this paper, we described the software development for verifying the integrity of output data of TCP/IP for VLBI Correlation Subsystem (VCS) correlation block and proposed the performance improvement method in order to prevent the data loss of correlation output. The VCS correlation results are saved at the Data Archive system through TCP/IP packet transmission. In this paper, the integrity verification software is developed so as to confirm the integrity of correlation result saved at the data archive system using TCP/IP packet information of VCS. The 3-step integrity verification process is proposed by using the developed software, its effectiveness was confirmed in consequence of correlation experiments. In addition, TCP/IP packet transmission must be completed within minimum integration period. However, there is not only TCP/IP packet loss occurred but also the problem of correlation result integrity affected in account of a large quantity of packets and data during short integration time. In this paper, the reason of TCP/IP packet loss is analyzed and the modified methods for FPGA(Field Programmable Gate Array) of VCS are proposed, the integrity problem of correlation results will be solved.

In this study, the sensing membranes for detection of pH and dissolved oxygen(DO) were prepared by immobilizing 6-aminofluorescein or ruthenium complex onto the sol-gel matrixes of GPTMS, MTMS, and TEOS and then recoated with the mixture of hydrophobic sol-gel and graphite for light insulation. The pH and DO sensing membranes recoated with the light insulation layer showed a higher sensitivity than those without light insulation layer. The sensing membranes were immobilized on the wells of 24-well microplate and used to monitor the fluorescence intensity for pH and DO in E.coli JM109 and P.pastoris X-33 fermentation processes. The change of the fluorescence intensity in the DO sensing membrane agreed with the growth patterns of microorganisms, that the membranes are valuable to monitor the DO in fermentation processes. In the case of pH monitoring, the fluorescence intensity has showed good correlation to the off-line pH data, that the pH membranes are valuable to monitor pH values in fermentations.
This study was aimed to identify the diffusion of systemic disease-related knowledge among dental hygienists. Two hundreds and eleven dental hygienists were selected for the study. Data was collected between August 31, 2015 and September 20, 2015 by handing out questionnaires. Returned questionnaires were analyzed by descriptive statistics, t-test, and ANOVA. Dental hygienists showed overall mean of 0.64 on the systemic disease related knowledge. Age, education level, career, and educational experience showed significant influence on the systemic disease knowledge (p<0.01). Dental hygienists revealed overall mean of 0.61 (full mark=1) on the usefulness recognition of systemic disease related knowledge. Age (p<0.001), education level (p<0.01), career (p<0.001), and educational experience (p<0.01) showed significant effects on the usefulness recognition of systemic disease knowledge. Degree of how dental hygienists apply the systemic disease-related knowledge to the service was mean 0.86 (full mark=2). Age (p<0.01), education level (p<0.01), career (p<0.01), and educational experience (p<0.001) had significant impacts on how dental hygienists apply the systemic disease related knowledge to the service. The diffusion of systemic disease knowledge among dental hygienists was 2.17, which represented 'persuade'. These results indicated that a study is needed to understand the diffusion of systemic disease knowledge among dental hygienists and to identify obstacles in the process. Moreover, an education program should be developed to offer practical training on the systemic disease-related knowledge. Further studies should evaluate the effectiveness of the program.
The objective of this paper is performance analysis of the digital document image decimation algorithm which generates a value of decimated element by an average of a target pixel value and a value of neighbor intelligible element to adaptively reflect the merits of ZOD method and FOD method on the decimated image. First, a target pixel located at the center of sliding window is selected, then the gradient amplitudes of its right neighbor pixel and its lower neighbor pixel are calculated using first order derivative operator respectively. Secondly, each gradient amplitude is divided by the summation result of two gradient amplitudes to generate each local intelligible weight. Next, a value of neighbor intelligible element is obtained by adding a value of the right neighbor pixel times its local intelligible weight to a value of the lower neighbor pixel times its intelligible weight. The decimated image can be acquired by applying the process repetitively to all pixels in input image which generates the value of decimated element by calculating the average of the target pixel value and the value of neighbor intelligible element. In this paper, the performance comparison of proposed method and conventional methods in terms of subjective performance and hardware complexity is analyzed and the preferable approach for developing the decimation algorithm of the digital document image on the basis of this analysis result has been reviewed.
We investigated the optical and hydrophobic properties of the deposited silver (Ag) zinc oxide (ZnO) nanorods (NRs) on flexible indium tin oxide (ITO) coated polyethylene terephthalate (PET) substrates (i.e., ITO/PET). The ZnO NRs were grown by an electrochemical deposition using a sputtered ZnO seed layer and the Ag was deposited by using a thermal evaporator. For comparison, the same fabrication process was carried out on the bare ITO/PET without ZnO NRAs. Due to the discrete surface of ZnO NRs, the deposited Ag was formed as nano-scale particles, while the Ag became film-like for bare ITO/PET. In order to control the size and amount of Ag particles, the Ag deposition time was changed from 100 to 600 s. When the deposition time was increased, the Ag particles became larger and denser, and the absorptance was increased. This enhanced absorptance may be due to the localized surface plasmon resonance of Ag particles. Furthermore, the relatively high hydrophobicity was observed for the deposited Ag on the ZnO NRs/ITO/PET. These improved optical and surface properties are expected to be useful for flexible photovoltaic and optoelectronic devices.
This paper attempts to explore issues related with the Sifted and talented education in legal aspects. To accomplish this goal, the legal system connected with the gifted and talented education is examined. It includes the Constitution of the Republic of Korea, framework act on education, elementary and secondary education act, etc,. Second, the institutional process of the Act on the Promotion of Education for the gifted and Talented Law and legal characteristics is reviewed. It is found that the Act on the Promotion of Education for the gifted and Talented Law and its regulations is designated to achieve goals of education in general. Educational institutions for children with gifted and talented seem to attain more investment than general education institutions. Third, main issues in the Act on the Promotion of Education for the gifted and Talented Law is discussed. They are the legal system, legal name and aim, rights and obligation for gifted and talented, selection of gifted and talented, organization and operation of curriculum, and teacher education. In conclusion, it needs deeper study on each issue and needs to be presented the specific alternatives. So, it should be improved the law in such a way to meet the fundamental human rights for the gifted and talented.
During the 1980s, Textile design achieved a remarkable growth in creating aesthetic effect and in establishing its standing by responding to demands of the time effectively and seeking changes proactively. This was a period when Textile design constructed its modern concept as it was attempting a qualitative improvement through advanced technology, high class, and differentiation. The advent of advanced materials through the development of textile engineering, employment of craft techniques to further cultural and artistic orientation, and restoration of decorativeness in pursuit of sensitivity, all these developments of the 1980s contributed to the rise of above characteristics. In this study, attempts are made to grasp the new trend of Textile design during the 1980s and to review diverse methods of aesthetic creation and plastic possibility which this trend presented for the Textile, and thus to recognize the role of Textile design and its importance in a new light. The new trend of Textile design during the 1980s can be summarized as follows: 1) An appreciation of the creative aspect of the Textile. As attempts are made to emphasize visual and sensitive aspects of the medium, Textile tended to become an object of art itself. 2) A new awareness of the representative and plastic capacity of the fiber material. As attempts are made to develope the creative potential of the Textile, representation of the material tended to become more diversified. 3) A recognition of the Textile as a proper means to deliver the spirit of the time. As the medium accommodates and fuses diverse cultures including traditional culture, more emphasis was place on cultural contents of the Textile. In the process of pursuing these changes, Textile design of the 1980s has also contributed to the creation of new values, laying the groundwork for its emergence as an advanced high value-added industry.
