Currently, DTD(Document Type Definition) Definition of Music score has been widely studied according to applications, and the methods of automatic transformation from defined DTD to XML Schema is in progress. In addition, studies of structure of DTD definition are focused on the expression of music information by individual format. In this paper, expression method of the music information by continuous string values is suggested using the fact that measure is basically a component of score, and XML Schema is also modelled. In addition, mechanism extracting the music information from XML instance which was expressed using the proposed method is presented. As a result, XML Schema taking the continuous string values could be defined, instance obtained by the proposed method results in increasing efficiency by simplicity of XPATH and reduction of search step compared to previous method. In addition, it is possible for human to make direct expression, and it is known that the instance size decreases.

For having various applications, XML is widely used in various fields. But, there have not been proposed a system to integrate and manage XML and its applications together. In this paper, we propose methods to integrate web-based XML applications(SMIL, RDF, WIDL) and for object-oriented modeling of each DTD and document instance. We prppose and system to merge object modeling of XML applications. With the proposed integrating algorithm, we can not only easily analysis various web-based XML applications which is represented by complex tags but also generate object-oriented schema for each document and store it to OODBMS.

멀티데이터베이스를 구축하기 위해서는 전역스키마 (global schema) 구축이 필수적이며, 지역스키마(local schema) 간 충돌 해결과 스키마 통합 정보는 질의 처리 및 질의 결과를 사용자에게 보여주기 위해 필요하다. 전역스키마 생성 및 충돌 해결 방법은 많이 연구가 되어 왔다. 하지만, 스키마 통합을 위한 정보가 어떻게 표현되고, 어떻게 사용되는지에 대한 연구는 부족하다. 본 논문에서는 지역스키마와 전역스키마를 XML DTD 및 XML 문서로 표현하고, 이를 이용하여 멀티데이터베이스를 위한 스키마 통합 방법을 제안한다. 스키마 통합정보와 멀티데이터베이스와 지역데이터베이스들간 데이터교환을 XML을 이용함으로써 이기종간 데이터 교환이 쉽고, 멀티데이터베이스 시스템의 확장 및 다른 시스템으로의 전환이 용이하게 된다.

기존 의료정보 시스템은 본질적으로 성격이 다른 텍스트 기반 정보와 의료 영상 정보를 HL7과 DICOM이라는 각기 다른 두 표준을 기반으로 다루어 왔다. 따라서 상이한 두 표준 상호간의 정보 교환의 필요성과 최근들어 인터넷을 통한 개방 시스템으로의 전환의 필요성이 증가되면서 이를 위한 적절한 대안이 요구되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 이질적인 두 표준간의 데이터 교환과 통합을 위하여 XML을 활용하는 방안을 제시하였다. 또한 두 표준의 통합 DTD를 기반으로 XML 문서를 생성하고 통합 의료정보를 웹 상에서 검색, 저장할 수 있는 통합 의료정보 시스템을 구현하였다.

정보통신기술의 급속한 발달과 인터넷 환경의 급속한 확산에 따라 정보통신 시스템의 통합과 다양한 분야의 정보통신 시스템 사이의 정보공유가 필수적이다. 그러나 정보통신 시스템의 통합과 정보공유의 가장 큰 걸림돌은 시스템의 통합 메커니즘 문제뿐만 아니라, 데이터의 의미(semantic), 구조(structure), 표현(representation)의 불일치이다. MDR은 정의된 표준 요소와의 매칭을 통해 데이터의 의미와 표현에 관한 이질성 문제를 해결할 수 있도록 해주며, XML은 메타데이터 레지스트리(Metadata Registry, MDR)에서 제공하지 않는 구조화된 데이터에 대한 표현 방법을 제공한다. 본 논문에서는 분야별 종적 데이터 공유를 위한 데이터의 의미, 구조, 표현의 이질성에 따른 문제를 분류하고, MDR과 XML의 활용을 통해 그 해결 방안을 제시한다.

데이터 변환은 데이터 재사용, 데이터 교환 및 통합 등에 사용되는 중요한 기술이다. 본 논문에서는 객체지향 데이터베이스를 유효한 XML 문서들로 변환시키는 두 가지 알고리즘을 제시한다. 먼저 객체지향 데이터베이스의 스키마, 객체지향 데이터베이스, DTD 그리고 XML 문서를 정의한 뒤 두 가지 알고리즘, 즉 객체지향 데이터베이스의 스키마를 DTD로 변환시키는 알고리즘과 객체지향 데이터베이스를 XML 문서들로 변환시키는 알고리즘을 제시한다. 그리고 제시한 두 가지 알고리즘의 결과는 항상 잘 구성된 XML 문서들이고 유효한 XML 문서들임을 증명한다. 잘 구성된 XML 문서는 XML문서가 갖추어야 하는 필수 조건이므로 반드시 필요하다. 또한 유효성은 유효한 XML 문서들을 필요로 하는 XML 응용에 유효한 XML 문서를 제공할 수 있도록 한다.

The reason of a today business of the biggest change is commercial transaction through Internet. Day relent, the commercial transaction through such Internet is giving B2B company transaction the biggest influence. The Document for information exchange that need to B2B company transaction through Internet must send efficiently the information, independent in the system and improve a Interoperability between business partners. Existing information exchange document happened problems about information exchange and the entry of XML became the gauge to solve problems that had an existing information exchange document. Also, the e-business based on XML was constructed. Thus, writing out necessary document for the as well as XML document. 객체 지향 소프트웨어 개발 방법론의 하나인 통합 모델링 언어인 UML은 OMG에 의하여 표준 방법론으로 받아들였다. 본 연구팀에 개발한 UML 그래픽 편집 도구를 이용하여서 소프트웨어를 개발하는 과정에서 발생하는 설계 정보는 모델 관련 정보와 뷰에 관한 정보들을 관계형 데이터베이스에 저장 관리된다. 이들을 Web 통해서 UML 설계 정보의 관리와 공유하기 위해서 UML 설계 정보를 미리 정의한 XML DTD를 이용하여 XML 파일로 변환한 후에 웹 상에서 이를 개발자와 개발 도구들 간에 교환하여 공유할 수 있는 변환 규칙을 제안한다.

생물다양성정보는 크게 종(species) 정보와 내용(content) 정보로 나눠 데이터베이스화한다. 이때, 분야별 데이터베이스 통합은 종에 대한 횡적인 통합과 내용에 대한 종적인 통합이 동시에 이루어지며, 분류학자들에 의해 정의된 항목과 국제적인 GSD(Global Species Database) 구축의 표준이 되는 내용들을 기반으로 구성요소들의 표준화 정의와 XML기반 표준 DTD를 작성한다. 또한 분산되어 있는 데이터베이스를 대상으로 통합 검색이 가능하도록 Mediator기법을 적용하여 관리시스템을 설계하였다.
