  • As electrical discharge machinery(EDM) is industrial process which is manufactured by discharge energy, by producing discharge, EDM process finished material at the little micrometer air gap. Especially, EDM is used for the characteristic of heat-resisting material, it puts to use air-space industrial element, confusing shaping material such as jet engine, rocket elements. Working performance. is changed by environment of working, discharge current voltage and duration of discharge pulse. Evaluation of performance working is work speed, clearance smoothing of product surface, wasting of pole. In this paper, this machine is compensated by adaptive controller which corrects the weak points of classical machine which is observed and operated working condition by user in hands. The previous purpose is main object in this thesis. The adaptive controller automatically detect abnormal condition and working conditions. To improve performance, surface smoothing and working speed, the adaptive controller uses fuzzy control strategy. To evaluate performance, this controller is implemented by microprocessor i80c196 and is applied real experimental machine.

A Psychological Model Applied to Mathematical Problem Solving

  • Students' approaches to mathematical problem solving vary greatly with each other. The main objective of the current study was to compare students' performance with different thinking styles (divergent vs. convergent) and working memory capacity upon mathematical problem solving. A sample of 150 high school girls, ages 15 to 16, was studied based on Hudson's test and Digit Span Backwards test as well as a math exam. The results indicated that the effect of thinking styles and working memory on students' performance in problem solving was significant. Moreover, students with divergent thinking style and high working memory capacity showed higher performance than ones with convergent thinking style. The implications of these results on math teaching and problem solving emphasizes that cognitive predictor variable (Convergent/Divergent) and working memory, in particular could be challenging and a rather distinctive factor for students.

  • 본 연구는 중소기업의 물리적 업무 환경이 업무 만족과 업무 성과에 미치는 영향을 실증적으로 분석하기 위해 이루어졌다. 본 연구를 위해 물리적 업무 환경을 세분화하여 개인집중업무 공간, 협업 공간, 어메니티 공간으로 나누어 연구 모형을 설정하였다. 실증 분석을 위해 중소기업 종사자를 대상으로 설문을 조사하였다. 유효한 250부를 분석의 대상으로 삼았다. SPSS 24를 활용하여 다중회귀방식으로 가설을 검정하였다. 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 개인집중업무 공간, 협업 공간, 어메니티 공간 모두 중소기업 종업원의 직무 만족에 유의한 정(+)의 영향을 미쳤다. 또한 개인집중업무 공간, 협업 공간은 직무 성과에 유의한 정(+)의 영향을 미쳤다. 어메니티 공간은 직무 성과에 유의한 영향 관계가 검정되지 않았다. 물리적 업무 환경과 종업원의 직무 만족, 직무 성과간의 관계를 규명한 연구가 부족한 상황에서 이들의 인과관계를 규명한 것이 본 연구의 기여도로 사료된다. 향후 연구에서는 궁극적으로 기업의 경영성과와의 관계 규명이 필요할 것으로 보인다.

The Impact of Salesperson's Personality to Job Performance in Machinery Industry in Viet Nam

  • This research focuses on identifying and measuring key personality factors affecting the job performance of salesperson working in the machinery industry in Vietnam. A total number of 218 salesperson working in machinery industry were surveyed. After evaluating Cronbach's Alpha and using the regression analysis technique, the results show the impact level of personality trait factors affecting the job performance of salesperson working in machinery industry. Ordered from the highest to the lowest effects on job performance, these factors are: agreeableness, openness to experience, conscientiousness, extraversion, and neuroticism. Five research hypotheses are accepted. Specifically, openness to experience, conscientiousness, extraversion, and agreeableness have positive impacts on job performance of salesperson working in machinery industry in Vietnam. However, neuroticism has a negative impact on job performance of salesperson. This research results indicate the level of impact of personality traits on the sales staff performance in machinery industry. Many people apply to this profession as a career choice. Each occupation is suitable for certain personality trait, which changes very little during adulthood. Research also shows that each personality trait always has its strengths and weaknesses. The educational environment should create conditions for learners to develop their character in a natural way.

임도공사시(林道工事時) 굴삭기(掘削機)를 이용(利用)한 토공작업(土工作業)의 공정분석(工程分析) (Performance Analysis of Earth Work Using Excavator in the Case of Forest Road Construction)

  • 임도공사지의 토공작업을 대상으로 $0.8m^3$용량의 굴삭기와 $1.0m^3$굴삭기를 사용하여 임도시공시 토공작업의 작업시간, 작업능률, 그리고 작업능률에 영향을 미치는 임도의 선형요소를 분석하였다. 1일 작업시간은 평균 8시간 23분으로 조사되었고, 총작업시간(Total working time) 중 순수작업시간(Net working time)이 85.7%, 여유시간이 14.3%로 조사되었으며, 순수작업시간(Net working time) 중 흙 운반(St)과 절토(Ec)의 비율이 38.6%와 32.5%를 차지하는 것으로 나타났다. 작업능률을 분석한 결과, $0.8m^3$용량의 굴삭기로 토사지역에서 작업을 한 경우 직선부의 작업능률이 곡선부보다 약 1.4배 높은 것으로 조사되었다. 또한 직선부에서 $0.8m^3$용량의 굴삭기로 작업을 수행한 경우 버켓을 이용한 토사작업의 능률이 브레이커를 이용한 암작업의 작업능률보다 약 9.1배 높은 것으로 나타났다. 토사지역에서 $0.8m^3$$1.0m^3$용량의 굴삭기로 작업을 수행한 결과, 직선부와 곡선부에서 $1.0m^3$용량의 굴삭기가 $0.8m^3$보다 약 1.3배의 작업능률을 보였다. 그리고, 토사지역에서 $0.8m^3$용량을 굴삭기를 대상으로 작업능률과 이에 영향을 미치는 임도의 선형요소를 분석한 결과, 곡선반지름, 노폭, 사면경사가 작업능률에 크게 영향을 미치는 것으로 조사되었으며, 벌채된 지장목의 벌근경과 본수는 작업능률에 거의 영향을 미치지 않는 것으로 조사되었다.

  • The organic Rankine Cycle (ORC) uses a kind of refrigerant as a working fluid that evaporates at relatively low temperature, as the Rankine Cycle uses superheated steam as the working fluid. A small scale ORC test bench was installed, and two different working fluids (R245fa and R134a) were injected into the test bench. The test bench was in operation with the two different working fluids under the same conditions. The effects against the system performance from the different working fluids were analysed, and root causes were identified. Other factors reflecting the power generation efficiency were also found. A conclusion was drawn, that R245fa makes the system perform better, than R134a.

커피 브레이크는 성과에 도움이 되는가?: 업무 외적인 활동 관점 (Are Coffee Breaks Good for Performance?: A Perspective on Non-Work-Related Activities)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 직장에서의 업무 외적인 활동에 대하여 조사하는 것이다. 이를 위하여 업무시간 중 업무 외적인 커피 브레이크 및 스마트폰 사용, 그리고 소비한 시간을 보충하기 위한 수당지급 없는 야근이 성과에 미치는 간단한 이론모형을 개발하고 분석하였다. 분석결과, 첫째 업무시간 중 업무외 목적의 오프라인 커피 브레이크는 성과에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 업무시간 중 업무외 목적의 스마트폰 사용은 성과에 부정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으나, 직장 동료와의 의사소통에서는 성과에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 밝혀졌다. 셋째, 업무시간 중 업무 외적으로 소비한 시간 보충을 위해 하는 수당지급 없는 야근은 성과에 부정적인 영향을 미쳤다.

Factors Affecting Employee's Performance: An Empirical Study in Vietnam

  • In the context of economic growth, the banking system has greatly contributed to a substantial rise in living conditions, connecting savings and investment, and economic growth. Since economic reform in 1986, Vietnam's banking system has increasingly expanded in quality and quantity of banks including state-owned, private-owned, and foreign banks. The aim of this study is to evaluate the main factors affecting employee's performance in the banking system in the case of an emerging economy of Vietnam. Using the pilot study by investigating three experts in a few banks in order to correct the questionnaires, and a mega sample data of 170 observations conducted from bank's staffs, and managers in Hanoi capital of Vietnam, empirical results demonstrate that the independent variables included in the model can explain 67% of the change of the dependent variable of employee's performance, and the rest (31%) can be explained by other reasons. Further, motivation (MO), and working ability (WA) have a positive and insignificant impact on employee's performance, reflecting that motivation, and working ability have insignificantly affected employee's performance. In contrast, four factors, namely, welfare, working environment, cooperation, and education have a positive and significant impact on employee's performance in the case of Hanoi, Vietnam.

응급실 간호사의 회복탄력성, 환자안전관리에 대한 인식, 선도적 행위가 표준주의 수행에 미치는 영향 (The Influence of Resilience, Awareness of Patient Safety Management, and Proactive Behavior on Performance of Standard Precautions among Nurses Working in Emergency Department)

  • Purpose: This study investigated the correlations among resilience, the awareness of patient safety management, proactive behavior, and the performance of standard precautions among nurses working in the emergency department. Additionally, it aimed to identify the factors influencing the performance of standard precautions. Methods: Data were collected through a descriptive survey conducted between June 10 and July 9, 2023. The participants included 208 nurses working in the emergency department in Korea. The collected data were analyzed using SPSS/WINdows software version 29.0, based on the frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, t-test, one-way analysis of variance, Scheffé test, Pearson's correlation coefficients, and multiple regression. Results: The analysis based on the participants' general characteristics showed that performance of standard precautions varied significantly according to age (t=2.10, p=.036), size of the emergency department (F=7.46, p<.001), average number of patients treated per day while working in the past month (t=-3.88, p<.001) and standard precautions training experience (t=2.16, p=.032). The main factors influencing the performance of standard precautions among nurses working in the emergency department are awareness of patient safety management (β=.62, p<.001), resilience (β=.18, p=.042), and age (β=-.15, p=.007), with a total explanatory power of approximately 46.0%. Conclusion: It is necessary to establish programs and an effective education system to increase resilience and awareness in patient safety management to improve the performance of standard precautions among nurses working in the emergency department.

공급률 및 탈곡통 길이 변화에 따른 자탈형 콤바인 탈곡 성능 (Threshing Performance dependent upon Feed Rate and Threshing Drum Length for Head-Feed Combine)

  • Threshing loss was increased due to dropping of the threshing efficiency when the 4 row head-feed combine harvested 5 row rice to improve harvesting performance of a combine. Reasonable design criteria were examined to determine the ranges of both of feed rate and the length of threshing drum for the 4 row head-feed combine being used as a 5-row combine. Harvesting performance increased as working width or working speed increased, it resulted in 15% increase when the working width increased from 4 row to 5 row. Harvesting operations of the 4 row combine performed normally in the 4 row rice in threshing loss less than 1%, however, threshing loss increased to 2.25% in the 5 row due to poor threshing efficiency. The length of threshing drum was increased from 710 mm to 810 mm as well as the speed of crop feed chain was increased from 0.61 m/s to 0.75 m/s so as to improve the poor threshing efficiency resulted from the enlarged working width from the 4 row to the 5 row, which would decrease threshing loss less than 1%.
