신규간호사의 간호근무환경과 사회적 지지가 현실충격에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Nursing Work Environment and Social Support on Reality Shock Experienced by New Graduate Nurses)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify the effects of nursing work environment and social support on the reality shock of new graduate nurses in university hospitals. Methods: The subjects were 153 new graduate nurses with less than 12 months of clinical experience at two university hospitals in the G province, and data were collected from September 15 to October 7, 2020. Data were analyzed using the SPSS/WIN 26.0 program for frequency, average, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson correlation coefficient, multiple regression. Results: Factors influencing reality shock were nursing work environment (β=-.39, p<.001) and social support (β=-.25, p=.002), and gender (female) (β=.20, p=.001), and the explanatory power was 44.8% (F=9.99, p=.002). Conclusion: Our study shows that nursing work environment and social support play an important role in the reality shock of new graduate nurses. It is important to strengthen nursing work environment and social support to alleviate the reality shock of new graduate nurses. The findings of this study may serve as a basis for developing strategies for mitigating the reality shock of new graduate nurses.

  • Purpose: This study was to identify the effects of self-resilience and social support on reality shock among new graduate nurses. Methods: The data was collected using self-reported questionnaires from a convenience sample of 111 new graduate nurses. The data was analyzed by descriptive statistical, independent t-test, ANOVA, Scheffe test, Pearson correlation coefficient, and multiple regression via the SPSS Window 23.0 program. Results: Among general and work related characteristics, factors that have shown significant differences on reality shock were gender (t=-2.29, p=.024), work unit (t=3.31, p=.023) and whether they are working at unit they desired (t=-5.08, p<.001). Reality shock has shown a negative correlation with self-resilience (r=-.51, p<.001) and social support (r=-.41, p<.001). Factors that affected the reality shock on new graduate nurses were self-resilience (${\beta}=-.43$, p<.001), whether they are working at unit they desired (${\beta}=.35$, p<.001) and their currently work unit (${\beta}=-.17$, p=.028). These factors take into account of 38.0% of overall reality shock. Conclusion: The results suggest that self-resilience, desired unit and current work unit should be considered as factors when developing an intervention to alleviate the reality shock experienced by new graduate nurses.

  • Rebar work is important in terms of cost and process of reinforced concrete construction along with formwork and concrete construction, and the quality of reinforced concrete construction has a great influence on the safety and durability of the structure. Therefore it is important to thoroughly inspect the steel reinforcement after casting the concrete because it is difficult to confirm the actual condition of the reinforcement. The purpose of this study is to develop an augmented reality system to visualize the records of bar placing work, which is increasingly utilized in the construction field. In order to improve maintenance of reinforced concrete, this study suggests a plan to effectively manage the drawing information including the structural drawing, the placing drawing, and the photographed image at the construction and inspection stage, and develop a system that utilizes augmented reality technology that can display the state of the inside of a concrete structure by superimposing it on actual environment.

임상 간호사의 괴롭힘, 간호근무환경, 현실 충격이 이직 의도에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Workplace Bullying, Nursing Work Environment, and Reality Shock on Turnover Intention of Clinical Nurses)

  • The purpose of this study was to identify the relationship between bullying, nursing work environment, reality shock and factors of influence on turnover intension. Data were collected from 381 nurses who were under the charge nurse at a hospital with more than 600 beds in Seoul. The collected data were analyzed using the SPSS24.0 program. The mean score for turnover intension was 3.61 ± 0.89. The intension of turnover was correlated with bullying in the workplace (r=0.197, ⍴=.001), the nursing work environment (r=-.409, p=.001), and reality shock (r=.572, p=.001). Variables affecting turnover intension were the work department(β=-0.018, ⍴=.049), working environment(β=-0.424, ⍴<.000), and reality shock(β=0.654, ⍴<.000). The total amount of explanation for turnover intension was 37.3%. The degree of turnover intension of nurses was affected by work in general wards, the experience of workplace bullying and the nursing work environment. To reduce turnover intension, nursing work needs to be analyzed and efforts are needed to establish an effective communication system.

신규간호사의 현실충격과 영향요인 (Factors associated with New Graduate Nurses' Reality Shock)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify factors that affect reality shock in new nurses. Methods: Participants were 216 newly graduated nurses with less than 1 year experience in 5 university and 10 general hospitals in Busan, Ulsan and Gyeongnam, A self-report questionnaire was completed by the nurses between November 18 and December 25, 2013. Data were analyzed using t-test, ANOVA and hierarchial multiple regression analysis with the SPSS/WIN 21.0 Program. Results: Average scores for work environment and environmental reality shock were $2.63{\pm}0.33$ and $2.66{\pm}0.43$ points respectively. Regression analysis showed that with the nurses' demographic and work characteristics controlled, work environment explained 4.2% of the reality shock. Factors significantly affecting reality shock included nurses' changing residence because of job (${\beta}$=.21, p=.001), whether they were able to work on the unit of their choice (${\beta}$=-.13, p=.031) and whether they had a choice in days off (${\beta}$=-.14, p=.038). Conclusion: When these factors are considered, reduction in nurses' reality shock requires improvement in work environment, placing new nurses in a department of their choice and allowing them a choice in off-duty days. These measures would also help achieve organizational goals and develop the new nurses as professional nurses.

  • 증강현실(Augmented Reality, AR) 기술은 현실 환경을 기반으로 컴퓨터에서 생성한 가상의 객체정보를 중첩해봄으로써 가상현실 상에서 느낄 수 없는 실감형 모델을 구현하는 기술이다. 본 연구에서는 토목공사 철근배근 작업에 증강현실 기술을 적용하는 방법론과 시스템 시제품을 구성하여 철근공사 작업의 증강현실 적용성을 검증하고 있다. 토목공사 현장의 여러 작업들 중에서 철근공사는 절차화된 매뉴얼방식보다는 숙련공의 경험적 방식에 의해 작업이 진행되는 대표적 공정이다. 이러한 공정에 증강현실을 적용하면 당초 계획도면과 비교하여 누락된 철근배근 및 상이한 배근 상태를 시각화하여 계측할 수 있으므로 시공성을 향상시킬 수 있다. 구축된 시스템은 3차원으로 모델링 된 철근객체를 실제 시공현장에 중첩하여 시각화함으로써 철근 조립공정들의 작업 이해도를 높이고, 검측단계에 활용함으로써 철근조립작업에서 발생할 수 있는 하자와 재작업으로 인한 비용증가를 억제할 수 있을 것이라 기대된다.

신규간호사의 임상실무 적응을 위한 가상현실 시뮬레이션 교육 요구도 조사: 혼합연구 적용 (The educational needs of virtual reality simulation training for novice nurses' adaptation to clinical practice: A mixed methods study)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study is to identify the educational needs of virtual reality simulations that can be applied to novice nurses during the waiting period before starting work in a hospital. Methods: A convergent mixed methods was used. The survey data were collected from 230 novice nurses, and a focus group interview was conducted with 6 new nurses. The data were collected from November 2022 to January 2023. Descriptive statistics, a frequency analysis, independent t-test, and an Importance-Performance Analysis were performed using SPSS 24.0. Results: Appropriate topics for virtual reality simulation education were indicated to be medications and intravenous injections, which are high priority topics in quantitative and qualitative research. The novice nurses wanted group activity training three to four times a week for two weeks before beginning work in a hospital. They also wanted an immersive virtual reality system based on a real hospital environment. Conclusion: Based on the above results, this study provides basic data for the development of a virtual reality simulation education that can improve the adaptation of novice nurses to clinical practice. A strategy was suggested to utilize the waiting time before beginning work in a hospital as educational time.

Effects of Changes in Reality Shock among New Nurses on Turnover Intention in South Korea

  • Purpose: This study aimed to investigate the changes in reality shock among new nurses and their influencing factors to identify turnover reduction methods. Methods: A total of 146 new nurses from 6 general hospitals participated in the survey. The survey data were collected from August 5 to November 10, 2015. Results: The mean scores for factors related to turn over were 2.75 for nurse practice environment, 2.84 (4point scale) for reality shock, and 3.08 (5point scale) for turnover intention. A significant difference in the impact of reality shock was observed depending on whether the nurses selected their work unit (F=6.24, p=.003) and whether they could take the possibility of holiday on the desired day at will (t=-2.57, p=.013). Changes in reality shock correlated with turnover intention, with the 'increased reality shock' group demonstrating an odds ratio of 2.37 (CI: 1.41~3.98) for turnover intention. Conclusion: The current findings indicate the need for lowering reality shock and turnover intention by considering nurses' work-related characteristics and improving their practice environments. To further study the changes in reality shock new nurses experienced, additional research is warranted while homogenizing the participants in terms of preceptorship duration and timing of independence.

Extended Reality-based Simultaneous Multi Presence for Remote Cooperative Work

  • 본 논문에서는 사용자가 확장현실 환경에서 공동 작업을 수행하는 중에 여러 공간들을 빠르게 탐색하면서 동시에 여러 공간의 존재감을 제공해주는 동시적 공간 멀티 프레젠스 시스템을 제안한다. 제안한 시스템은 사용자를 둘러싸는 사용자에게 보이지 않는 환형 스크린을 생성하여 원격 및 개인 공간들을 배치 및 조작하는 방법들을 제공한다. 사용자는 환형 스크린에 원격 사용자들 및 자신의 개인 작업 공간들을 자유롭게 배치할 수 있다. 사용자에는 환형 스크린에 배치되어 있는 다양한 공간들을 동시에 볼 수 있기 때문에 여러 공간들에 대한 존재감을 동시에 느끼면서 공동 작업을 진행할 수 있으며, 사용자가 원하는 경우에 특정 공간에 완전히 몰입할 수 있다. 또한, 사용자가 개인적으로 작업하는 개인공간역시 환형 스크린을 통해서 배치할 수 있다. 실험 결과 원격 공동 작업에 참여하는 사용자들은 동시에 여러 사용자들의 공간을 볼 수 있으면서 동시적 존재감을 느낄 수 있어서 공간들에 대한 이해도를 높일 수 있었으며 멀티 프레젠스를 사용한 상호작용의 시간을 가장 많이 사용하였다.

예술작품을 통해 나타난 패션의 하이퍼리얼리티 연구 (A Study on Hyper-Reality of Fashion by Work of Art)

  • The rapid growth and influence of digital technologies have had a profound effect on modern society. Companies and businesses can connect through SNS(social network service accounts). The importance of mass media empowers the creation of virtual images that are more realistic than time and space. Unlike traditional reproduction or imitation, the virtual images created in this way are reproduced in a form that lacks the original inspiration's essence. Jean Baudrillard described this phenomenon as the theory of simulation. Baudrillard argued that imitated simulated images replace reality. He stated that reality is lost under excessive images in modern society. In response, based on an understanding of the theory of hyper-reality that emerged through the late stages of the order of simulacre, this study aimed to analyze modern fashion's method of reproducing hyper-real images and investigate the method's characteristics. This study examined the characteristics of hyper-reality described by Baudrillard and analyzed the method of artistic expression of hyper-reality. Based on this method of expression, reproducibility, following the stages of image simulation, was derived. A specific case applied to fashion was analyzed, and based on the image reproduction method, specific characteristics of hyper-reality characteristics in fashion were obtained. Sixty-four collections were selected, out of which 155 images and 43 brands demonstrated the principles of image transformation.
