Design of a Multiphase Clock Generator for High Speed Serial Link (고속 시리얼 링크를 위한 다중 위상 클럭 발생기의 설계)

  • The proposed clock generator lowers the operating frequency in a system core though it keeps data bandwidth high because it has a multiphase clocking architecture. Moreover. it has a dual loop which is comprised of an inner analog phase generation loop and outer digital phase control loop. It has both advantages of DLL's wide operating range and DLL's low jitter The proposed design has been demonstrated in terms of the concept and Hspice simulation. All circuits were designed using a 0.25${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$ CMOS process and simulated with 2.5 V power supply.

  • In this paper, a feedline which is a shape of a fork is designed to improve a bandwidth of the microstrip slot antenna. To determine design parameters of the feedline, the characteristics of the microstrip slot antenna is analyzed by changing design parameters of the feedline. The microstrip slot antenna with the feedline of a shape of a fork has a wide band, from 1.7 GHz to 6.1 GHz for VSWR $\leq$2.

  • Optical wireless mobile communications have the potential to provide wide bandwidth and security . We have proposed and designed the 2-dimensional tracking optical receiver systems for optical wireless mobile communication. The receiver system consist of 4${\times}$4 photodiode array can receive optical signal from the transmitter. The room size is 5${\times}$5m$^2$ and the room height is 3m.

  • We have constructed a multi-channel SQUID magnetometer system. The system is designed to operate normally with 10 high temperature direct coupled SQUIDs. The main features of the system include a remote control by serial communication, low noise with wide bandwidth and high slew rate by several MHz modulation, signal conditioning and calibration by digital signal processing.

  • This paper presents that photonic bandgap structures suppressing the propagation of surface waves can improve the performance of the patch antennas on thick high dielectric constant substrate. The forbidden propagation of surface wave due to the photonic bandgap enhances the radiation efficiency and reduce the back radiation drastically with maintaining the small size and wide bandwidth of the antennas.

  • This paper presents a Class-D type switched mode audio power amplifier employing ZVT(Zero-Voltage-Transition) soft switching technique. In order to obtain a wide bandwidth and lower distortion for an audio amplifier a high switching frequency is essential. The ZVT switching scheme enables a high frequency switching without sacrificing the efficiency much as in a hard switching. A prototype amplifier is built to demonstrate the feasibility of this technique for the audio power amplifier.

  • This paper introduces a simulation design decision support system to support the development process of the pipeline network and provide decision support to the operations of the gas pipelines. The system has been implemented on Flash5, which has a multimedia capabilities environment for designing and delivering low- bandwidth animations, presentations, and web sites. It also offers scripting capabilities and server-side connectivity fur creating applications and web interfaces. Hence a user can interact with the system on the World Wide Web.

  • In this paper we designed and measured HTS antenna array for Direct Broadcast Satellite (DBS) system. HTS antennas fabricated in this work were a four-element, 11.67 ㎓z, high-Tc superconducting (HTS) microstrip antenna array with corporate feed network and circular polarization for direct broadcas- ting satellite (DBS) system. Our antennas was designed and built on a 0.5 mm thick YBa2Cu3O7-x (YBCO) /MgO substrate. The measurement results showed good axial ratio, wide bandwidth a remarkable improvement over their metal counterpart.

Time-Domain Numerical Investigation of Ring Resonator Optical Delay Devices

  • A split-step time-domain model for the analysis of pulse delay characteristics through ring resonator all-pass filters (APF's) is developed and its accuracy is checked. The dependence of the delay time and pulse distortion on the coupling ratios is investigated using the model. It is observed that the bandwidth of the APF's needs to be wide enough to minimize the pulse distortion.

  • 가스절연개폐장치에서 단로기의 조작시에 발생하는 과도과전압의 측정은 최적절연설계, 신뢰성 향상, 고장탐지 등에 있어 대단히 중요하다. 본 논문은 과도과전압과 시변전계의 정확한 측정이 가능한 용량성 전계센서에 관한 것으로 측정이론, 설계, 교정기술과 실규모 GIS실험장치에서의 과도과전압의 측정에 관한 모의 실험에 대하여 기술하였다. 시제작된 센서의 변환특성은 응답매개변수에 의하여 지배되어지며 센서와 측정계의 주파수대역폭은 수 Hz~ 약 200MHz정도이었다. 실규모 GIS실험장치에 적용하여 과도과전압을 측정한 결과 센서의 우수한 응답특성이 확인되었다.
