This paper developed a home wellness robot platform to perform the roles in basic health care and life care in an aging society. A robotic platform and a sensory platform were implemented for an indoor wellness service. In the robotic platform, the precise mobility and the dexterous manipulation are not only developed in a symbiotic service-robot, but they also ensure the robot architecture of human friendliness. The mobile robot was made in the agile system, which consists of Omni-wheels. The manipulator was made in the anthropomorphic system to carry out dexterous handwork. In the sensing platform, RF tags and stereo camera were used for self and target localization. They were processed independently and cooperatively for accurate position and posture. The wellness robot platform was integrated in a real-time system. Finally, its good performance was confirmed through live indoor tests for health and life care.
This paper is to technically implement the sensing platform for Home-Wellness Robot. First, self-localization technique is based on a smart home and object in a home environment, and IOT(Internet of Thing) between Home Wellness Robots. RF tag is set in a smart home and the absolute coordinate information is acquired by a object included RF reader. Then bluetooth communication between object and home wellness robot provides the absolute coordinate information to home wellness robot. After that, the relative coordinate of home wellness robot is found and self-localization through a stereo camera in a home wellness robot. Second, this paper proposed fuzzy control methode based on a vision sensor for approach object of home wellness robot. Based on a stereo camera equipped with face of home wellness robot, depth information to the object is extracted. Then figure out the angle difference between the object and home wellness robot by calculating a warped angle based on the center of the image. The obtained information is written Look-Up table and makes the attitude control for approaching object. Through the experimental with home wellness robot and the smart home environment, confirm performance about the proposed self-localization and posture control method respectively.

The design of a fuel cells stack is important to get optimal output power. This study focuses on the evaluation of fuel cell system for unmaned aerial vehicles (UAVs). Low temperature proton exchange membrane (LTPEM) fuel cells are the most promising energy source for the robot applications because of their unique advantages such as high energy density, cold startup, and quick response during operation. In this paper, a 600 W open cathode LTPEM fuel cell was tested to evaluate the performance and to determine optimal operating conditions. The open cathode design reduces the overall size of the system to meet the requirement for robotic application. The cruise power requirement of 600 W was supported entirely by the fuel cell while the additional power requirements during takeoff was extended using a battery. A peak of power of 900 W is possible for 10 mins with a lithium polymer (LiPo) battery. The system was evaluated under various load cycles as well as start-stop cycles. The system response from no load to full load meets the robot platform requirement. The total weigh of the stack was 2 kg, while the overall system, including the fuel processing system and battery, was 4 kg.

In the era of the fourth industrial revolution technology, the inclusion of personalized nutrition for healthcare (PNH), when establishing a healthcare platform to prevent chronic diseases such as obesity, diabetes, cerebrovascular and cardiovascular disease, pulmonary disease, and inflammatory diseases, enhances the national competitiveness of global healthcare markets. Furthermore, since the government experienced COVID-19 and the population dead cross in 2020, as well as numerous health problems due to an increasing super-aged Korean society, there is an urgent need to secure, develop, and utilize PNH-related technologies. Three conditions are essential for the development of PNH technologies. These include the establishment of causality between obesity genome (genotype) and prevalence (phenotype) in Koreans, validation of clinical intervention research, and securing PNH-utilization technology (i.e., algorithm development, artificial intelligence-based platform, direct-to-customer [DTC]-based PNH, etc.). Therefore, a national control tower is required to establish appropriate PNH infrastructure (basic and clinical research, cultivation of PNH-related experts, etc.). The post-corona era will be aggressive in sharing data knowledge and developing related technologies, and Korea needs to actively participate in the large-scale global healthcare markets. This review provides the importance of scientific evidence based on a huge dataset, which is the primary prerequisite for the DTC obesity gene-based PNH technologies to be competitive in the healthcare market. Furthermore, based on comparing domestic and internationally approved DTC obese genes and the current status of Korean obesity genome-based PNH research, we intend to provide a direction to PNH planners (individuals and industries) for establishing scientific PNH guidelines for the prevention of obesity.
This paper is to technically implement the sensing platform for Home-Wellness Robot. The self-Localization of indoor mobile robot is very important for the sophisticated trajectory control. In this paper, the robot's self-localization algorithm is designed by RF sensor network and fuzzy inference. The robot realizes its self-localization, using RFID sensors, through the collaboration algorithm which uses fuzzy inference for combining the strengths of triangulation and triangulation. For the triangulation self-Localization, RSSI is implemented. TOA method is used for realizing the triangulation self-localization. The final improved position is, through fuzzy inference, made by the fusion algorithm of the resultant coordinates from trilateration and triangulation in real time. In this paper, good performance of the proposed self-localization algorithm is confirmed through the results of a variety of experiments in the base of RFID sensor network and reader system.
