Radio frequency (RF) plasma treatment is studied for the size reduction and the spheroidization of coarse particles to change them into nano-sized powders of spherical shape in MLCC fields. The uni-nanoadditives manufactured by RF plasma processing for high dispersion have been investigated for the effect on core-shell structure in dielectrics of MLCC. Microstructures have been characterized using scanning electron microscope (SEM), transmission electron microscope (TEM) and Electron Probe Micro Analyzer (EPMA). We compared the distribution of core-shell grains between specimens manufactured using uni-nanoadditive and using mixed additive. In addition, the uniformity of rare earth elements in the core-shell structured grains was analyzed. It was shown, from TEM observations, that the sintered specimen manufactured using uni-nanoadditives had more dense small grains with well-developed core-shell structure than the specimen using mixed additives, which had a homogeneous microstructure without abnormal grain growth and shows broad temperature coefficient of capacitance (TCC) curves in all temperature ranges because of well dispersed additives.

The Netherlands is a human-made country and an extremely well-designed European country as well. The general Dutch spatial planning for the city and environment takes place at a regional level. The local community determines the primary development conditions, and the prospect is included in a legally binding land-use plan. Especially, Rotterdam is a representative port city as the center of world trade and the gateway to western Europe. According to the history of war, the city reconstruction and the movement of the port area have led to a general change in Rotterdam and the regional redevelopment project on the southern port area of Mass river for the expansion of city functions and the balanced development. The research purpose is to understand the spatial development of the Netherlands city-region based on the analysis regarding the Kop van Zuid project, which is a representative implemented case in Rotterdam. The theoretical framework is the five dimensions and twelve indicators of territorial governance from the TANGO research project by the EU. The target case is assessed by planning and social aspect, respectively, and the results are discussed based on the theoretical framework. This research has the possibility to be utilized as advanced research by the European perspective for spatial development in other city-regions with the port area, such as Incheon and Busan in Korea.

Purpose: This study was to investigate factors influencing the well-being of the aged in rural areas. Method: The subjects consisted of 250 elders living in rural areas of Kyungsangbuk-do. Data were collected by questionnaire surveys using convenience sampling. The instruments used in this study were the Well-being Scale by Chang (1999), the perceived health status developed by Speake, Cowart, and Pellet (1989), and the Social Support Scale developed by Song (1991). Data were analyzed using the SPSS program through descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, Duncan's multiple-range test, Pearson Correlation Coefficient and stepwise multiple regression. Results: The most powerful predictor of well-being was social support, and then religion, health status, living expenses, and habitation accounted for 42.95% of variance in the well-being of the aged in rural areas. Conclusion: These results suggest that perceived health status and social support can be potential risk factors in the well-being of the aged. The findings of this study provide the basis of program development to improve the well-being of the aged in rural areas.

The main purpose of this study was to examine the relations between Children's stress, self-esteem, and subjective well-being with a sample of 320 elementary school 5th graders (of which 161 were boys and 159 were girls) living in Seoul. They completed questionnaires on Children's stress, self-esteem, and subjective well-being. The results were analyzed by means of Pearson's correlation coefficients and regressions. It was observed that children's stress of studying/mother was negatively related to subjective well-being. Children's self-esteem was positively related to subjective well-being. Children's stress of studying/mother was negatively related to self-esteem. Self-esteem tended to play a perfectly mediating role between children's stress of studying/mother and subjective well-being. These results clearly indicate that children's self-esteem plays a crucial role in improving the levels of children's subjective well-being.

Agricultural Extension Services in Korea have accomplished a significant role in self- sufficiency of rice, a national staple food, through green revolution in 1970's; supplying green vegetables even during the winter season through white revolution in 1980's; and establishing technical agriculture by organizing rural leaders and 4-H members. In 1990s changes were made in international situations under the Uruguay Round multilateral trade negotiations and inauguration of the World Trade Organization. This was followed by localization of the extension staffs and the functions of extension services in Korea changed dramatically from national government to local governments. Thus, a weakened national function resulted in loosening of the linkages of research and extension in central government and local extension offices. Difficulties were reported in diffusion of new agricultural technology and efficient management of extension personnel. Developmental tasks for better extension services for the 21st century in Korea would include recovering national functions of agricultural extension, and developing a new paradigm for extension service. This should include the following measures; 1) Cooperative extension service should be adapted to involve national as well as local governments and non-government organization. 2) The target groups for extension services should be expanded to include farmers, noel residents as well as urban consumers. 3) The role of the extension service should cover agricultural technological diffusion of innovations as well as managerial skills and leadership development for rural organizations. 4) Extension services should be introduced to small farmers as well as consultation services for advanced farms. Diversified approaches should be employed for mama effective services. 5) Pre-service as well as in-service education should be offered to secure better extension educators equipped with knowledge, understanding and abilities on agricultural technology, information, agricultural philosophy, instructional methods and communication skills.

Economic development is the common problem for Northeast Asian Countries, even if their political regimes are defferent. What we based on the economic development are infrastructure and regional development. As a matter of course, they have to be accompanied with science and technology. In the Japan Sea(the Eastern Sea) Rim, it is expected that a regional development zone based on the idea of a “borderless world” will be established. Moreover science and technology as well as capital are also expected to be invested in that 3one. That is to say, the regional development Bone needs Japanese and Korea capital, science and technology.

The purpose of this study was to develop a Home Economics curriculum for high school students based on practical problems focusing on Food and Nutrition. This study developed practical-problem based approach to curriculum development. This curriculum provided a series of the objectives, contents, learning activities, and assessments. The objectives were divided into process objectives and content objectives. The objectives focused on three systems of action which were technical action, communicative action, and emancipatory action. The contents of this curriculum focused on three practical problems； 1) What should I do regarding my well-being\ulcorner ； 2) What should I do regarding my family’s well-being\ulcorner ； 3) What should I do regarding my society’s well-being\ulcorner The cooperative learning strategies were mainly used in this curriculum. Students were assessed through learning experiences and achievement.

Lentinus edodes (LE) is the first medicinal macrofungus to enter the realm of modern biotechnology. Lentinus edodes is well-known to have anti-tumor, anti-inflammatory, and immunomodulatory effects. In this study, osteoporosis was induced by ovariectomy in female rats, and the prevention and treatment efficacy of the climacteric disease the postmenopausal type I pattern was examined using the experimental substance. Female rats were either sham-operated (sham; n = 5) or surgically ovariectomized (OVX; five animals per group) and then administered to OVX control, raloxifene hydrochloride 1 mg/kg/day, or LE (20 and 200 mg/kg/day) for 12 weeks. LE treatment suppressed the ovariectomy-induced reduction of bone mineral density in the entire tibia as well as its metaphysis with a decrease of serum osteocalcin and interleukin-6 levels. In addition, LE is suggested to elevate the serum levels of progesterone hormones and prevent bone loss in ovariectomized rats. In conclusion, LE 200 mg/kg/day may have inhibitory effects on osteoporosis in OVX rats.

This study examined the factors influencing the psychosocial well-being of working mothers of preschool children. It investigated the mediation effects of sociological ambivalence in the relations of psychosocial well-being with a family-supportive work environment and with the gender-role stereotype of family members. In addition, it tested the moderated mediation effects of the traditional gender-role attitudes in workplace and meta-mood. Data were obtained from 476 working mothers of preschool children. Using SPSS 25.0, Cronbach's alpha reliability was calculated, descriptive statistics were generated, and Pearson's correlation analysis performed. Mediation and moderated mediation analyses were carried out using the SPSS process macro 3.5 program. The main results were as follows: first, sociological ambivalence mediated the relationship between psychosocial well-being and a family-supportive work environment. The mediating effect of sociological ambivalence was moderated by emotional attention, a sub-factor of meta-mood. Second, sociological ambivalence mediated the relationship between psychosocial well-being and the gender-role stereotype of family members. In addition, the traditional gender-role attitudes in workplace moderated the mediating effect of sociological ambivalence on the relationship between the gender-role stereotype of family members and psychosocial well-being. These results can be used to inform discussion on changing policy and education to improve the psychosocial well-being of working mothers with preschool children.

The storage sac of U. unicinctus can be divided into two parts morphologically as well as functionally ; one is proximal and the other distal storage sac. It is because of the seasonal morphological change of the storage sac caused by sperm accumulation in the storage sac. The proximal storage sac contains the mature sperm with the dumbbell-shaped acrosome and well developed one or two mitochondria in the middle piece, whilst the sperm of hemispherical acrosome associate closely with an accessory cell in the distal storage sac. This means that the sperm do not perform the synchronous development in a storage sac, which is not the case of sperm development in the coelomic cytophorus. In addition, the basal membrane of the distal storage sac is different from that of the proximal storage sac in term of tissue formation. Connective tissues, acces-sory cells and small lumen develop on the basal membrane of the distal sto-rage sac, which is well contrasted with the thin basal membrane of the proximal storage sac. The function of the storage sac is discussed in rela-tion of the sperm development and the seasonal change.
