This study aims to analyze the frequency of the use of internet web sites for information on landscape trees, and to suggest an improved direction for internet information content concerning of landscape trees. 10 areas of 5internet web-sites that are presented by an internet search with Yahoo Korea, Empas and Naver were studied for their importance and satisfaction degrees by landscape architects who use them. The users recognized the importance of the contents of the internet web-sites for landscape trees, but were not satisfied with it. It was proposed that the web-sites should provide higher quality information on the growth history, price, shipping and handling, payment and the place of origin. Especially, the paper proposes that web-sites should more aggressively utilize information on the quality of landscape trees such as tree forms, trimming states of roots, etc.

Web sites on the internet are excellent information resources for the consumers to gain health care knowledge. Especially web sites related to child-care more increase recently. But a concern has emerged for the quality of contents contained on the child-care web sites. Lack of evaluation criteria have led to inaccurate and misleading child-care related publications on the Internet. For evaluating the quality and reliability of child-care related information on the Web, rating tool should be provided and developed. So, this article reviewed and investigated the elements to evaluate child-care sites on the internet. On the basis of the review of articles and the validity test about the contents, 16 preliminary items including purpose, contents, authority, feedback, design developed. Through the pilot study that apply the preliminary evaluating criteria to 20 evaluating criteria for child-care web sites developed. This evaluating criteria have 24 items and that were categorized to purpose(2 items), detail of contents(16 items), authority(2 items), feedback(2 items), design(4 items). The result of this study suggest that the evaluation criteria for child-care web sites may be useful for evaluating the quality of child-care web sites.

From the early period of web design, there has discussed the need for style guide. But, it has not known specifically 'what it is' and 'how it should be applied'in the actual situation. Most web sites seem to be considered as 'would-be-same or similar'in those impressions. In case of domestic companies or corporations, the development of web style guide has been established, in addition to the trials to adopt Cl(corperate identity) into the web sites. In the universities, with the advent of the era of unlimited competitions among the universities, the need and the importance of web sites has been increasingly emphasized because most internet users, teenagers and twenties, have great interests in the universities and they actually constitute the university societies. But, in reality, the effort to adopt Ul(university identity) into the web sites has left so much to be desired. As one methodology, reflecting the characteristics of the university web sites and the financial reasons, it is assorted that the development of 'web style guide'is urgent. This report explains web style guide and its importance, in addition to the suggestion for the development of web style guide for the domestic university.

Internet is essential to live nowadays, but persons with disabilities are hard to use internet because people who develops and operate web sites don't think and comply the web accessibility standard. In order to solve this problem, Korea governments implement a lot of policies such as. making web accessibility standard, operating web accessibility education program, etc.. The purpose of this paper is examined the web accessibility compliance of major web sites such as portal, news, banking, education in Korea. In order to investigate the web accessibility compliance status of major web sites's in Korea, 15 web sites were chosen. This study was used the 4 major checkpoints that must be the crucial among 14 checkpoints in Internet Web Contents Accessibility Guidelines which was amended by Ministry of the Information and Communication in 2005. The results of this study showed that 15 major web sites in Korea didn't meet the 4 major checkpoints.

The purpose of this study is to analysis web sites which relate to housing environment on Internet and to suggest guidelines which are needed in digital life. Data are in 53 web sites searched by housing environmental word such as people, living, town and so on. The web sites are analyzed by key words. The results of this study were as follow: The web sites are divided into e-housing community, e-housing management, e-housing workplace and e-housing design. These are the digital life of new type. E-housing community sitess key words are 3D virtual world, chatting, information, service, community etc. E-housing community is related to making new wired community cross time and space. E-housing management sitess key words are guard management, apartment management, building management etc. E-housing management sites provide the useful information of housing management. E-housing workplace sitess key words are virtual office. conference etc. E-housing workplace sites enable us to work in cyberspace. E-housing design sitess key words are design, interior, furniture etc. E-housing design sites provide marketing, consulting and designing in relation to the house. The web life style on cyberspace is common and makes many changes happen in house life and environment.

In this study quality of tobacco cessation information provided through Internet web sites was evaluated in terms of retrievability, easy of use, user-supportiveness, feedback, and continuity. This study limited to those internet web sites developed and delivered by Korean public health service organizations or their related institutions or associations. This study analyzed 8 internet web sites and evaluation criteria developed by Chung, Yong Chul (2002) and Yoo, Sarah (2001) were used. Study results indicated that retrievability was evaluated low except search-speed of data: the easy of use was evaluated moderately: user-supportiveness was evaluated moderately: feedback, and continuity of those sites were evaluated low. The quality of tobacco cession information of those sites are needed to be improved. The development of guidelines for standardized health information on Internet web sites is necessary, too.

Recently, the quantity of information that is accessible from the Internet is being dramatically increased. Searching the Web for useful information has therefore become increasingly difficult. Thus, much research has been done on web robots which perform internet information filtering based on user interest. If a web site which users want to visit is found, its content is searched by following the searching list or Web sites links in order. This search process takes a long time according as the number of page or site increases so that its performance need to be improved. In order to minimize unnecessary search with web robots, this paper proposes an efficient information collection system based on compare and merge method. In the proposed system, a web robot initially collects information from web sites which users register. From the next visit to the web sites, the web robot compares what it collected with what the web sites have currently. If they are different, the web robot updates what it collected. Only updated web page information is classified according to subject and provided to users so that users can access the updated information quickly.

Now that many organizations have invested a tremendous amount of money and efforts to operate Web sites on the Internet, there is a strong demand to understand the effectiveness of such investments. In other words, one of most frequent and important questions about their Web sites is "Will the current Web site management policy be effective enough to have more visitors come to our Web site\ulcorner" In this paper, a system which predicts the degree of user interest in the future to Web sites is constructed. The degree of user interest to a Web site is defined to be the visit counts for the Web site in the system. With higher the visit counts, the related site is considered to be more interesting. However, the figures of the visit counts themselves cannot explain properly the degree of user Interest in the future to the related Web sites (i.e. the effectiveness of the related Web sites). Therefore, the system also uses mechanisms which use the concept of the Moving Averages, which have been used frequently in the stock exchanges. In this paper. two prediction mechanisms are proposed and compared. The first mechanism uses the Golden Cross/the Dead Cross of the Moving Averages, while the second mechanism uses the changes of upward/downward direction of the Moving Averages. Experimental results show that the two prediction mechanisms proposed in this paper predict the degree of user interest in the future to the related Web sites very well in most cases. However, the first one is considered to be better than the second one In the sense that the second one is too much sensitive to the changes of visit counts.it counts.

The previous studies regarding the usability evaluation of e-government web sites focused only on deriving affecting factors and variables. They did not find the relationship of usability, user satisfaction and revisiting. The objective of this paper is to find the causal effect how the usability of e-government web sites affect to the user satisfaction and the revisiting attitude. no scope of e-government web sites included the portal site and ie liked web sites. We developed a structural equation model and performed a user test. As a result, a perceived usability affected the revisiting, but it did not intermediate the user satisfaction.

The purpose of this study was to identify web designer's knowledge organization for WWW. Linked web sites were investigated in public library web pages. Independent variable was the supervised offices of public libraries and dependent variables were the web sites of type of public libraries, supervised offices of public libraries, and employment information. Results showed that special library and supervised office web sites were linked differently by public library web pages differently based upon supervised offices. This difference was resulted from geographical factors and types of information on the web sites.
