This research is carried out being divided into a first evaluation and second evaluation. A Study is carried out on first, the accessibility compliance level of Korea government department websites and second, whether the site which complies well with web accessibility increases web usability for users through a web usability evaluation. The evaluation result, web sites which comply well with the web accessibility guidelines were observed to increase web usability for both normal and disabled people but web sites which do not comply well were observed to lower the web usability making the web sites unavailable or inconvenient to use. Therefore, it can be concluded that there is a very close interrelationship between web accessibility and usability and thus compliance with web accessibility is not an option but a mandatory requirement.

본 연구에서는 국내 의료기관 웹 사이트를 대상으로 사용성 평가를 실시하고 그 결과를 분석하였다. 의료기관을 대학병원, 종합병원, 병원 그룹으로 나누고 각 그룹에서 4개씩 총 12개 병원을 선정하여 평가하였으며, 사용성 평가를 위해 평가 전 설문지, 태스크 수행 평가, 평가 후 설문지 그리고 평가자 인터뷰를 실시하였다. 태스크 수행 평가 결과를 살펴보면, 대학병원은 다른 그룹과 비교해 볼 때 비교적 사용성을 고려하여 설계되었으나 방대한 정보로 인한 복잡한 화면 구성과 모호한 인터페이스는 사용자에게 불편을 주는 요인으로 나타났으며, 보다 나은 사용성을 위해 사용빈도가 높은 주요 웹 서비스의 절차를 단순화하는 작업이 필요하다고 판단된다. 병원의 경우 태스크 수행과 관련된 서비스가 체계적이지 못하거나 서비스 자체가 제공되지 않는 경우도 있어 개선이 필요하였다.

Ubiquitous web services have been expanding in various business areas with the evolution of wireless Internet technologies, accessible and usable with a variety of mobile Internet devices such as smart phones. Ubiquitous mobile-web information services can be evaluated for accessibility and usability with the mobile Internet devices interacting with mobile-web information servers. In human mobile-web activity, a web server could be a unified center for mobile-web interaction services as well as for real-time estimation and analysis of mobile-web interaction sessions. We present a real-time estimation and analysis scheme for time-based accessibility and usability in ubiquitous mobile-web services. With real-time estimation/analysis of sessions in a mobile-web server, we estimated the time-based accessibility and usability for comparison between different web services as well as for applications in mobile cloud computing services. We present empirical results based on the implementation of the real-time estimation/analysis scheme.

The previous studies regarding the usability evaluation of e-government web sites focused only on deriving affecting factors and variables. They did not find the relationship of usability, user satisfaction and revisiting. The objective of this paper is to find the causal effect how the usability of e-government web sites affect to the user satisfaction and the revisiting attitude. no scope of e-government web sites included the portal site and ie liked web sites. We developed a structural equation model and performed a user test. As a result, a perceived usability affected the revisiting, but it did not intermediate the user satisfaction.

The purpose of this study id to examine the effect of Web site usability on the revisiting intention of customers in Internet book stores. The Web site usability construct consists of the factors such as contents, design, navigation, and interactivity. In order to accomplish the purpose of this study, a research model was established and it suggests that the usabililty effect the revisiting intention of online customers in Internet book stores. The results of the study show that contents, navigation, and interactivity has statistically significant effect on revisiting intention of Internet customers and this effect is mediated by perceived ease of use and perceived usefulness. This research confirms the importance of usability construct in designing web sites and understanding the use of web sites. Implications of these findings are discussed for researchers and practitioners.

본 연구는 웹사이트 사용성(Web site usability)을 구성하는 주요 요인들을 도출하고, 웹사이트 사용성, 신뢰, 만족 그리고 재구매 의도간의 인과관계를 규명할 수 있는 개념적 모형을 설정하고 이를 실증연구를 통하여 검증하였다. 웹사이트 사용성의 하위 요인으로는 콘텐츠, 이용용이성, 네비게이션, 상호작용성을 선정하였다. 실증분석 결과 웹사이트 사용성은 신뢰, 만족, 재구매 의도 모두에 직접적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며, 신뢰는 만족에, 만족은 재구매 의도에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 분석결과를 중심으로 본 연구의 학문적, 실무적 시사점을 제시하였다.

The user interface (UI) is the part of the systems that users can see, hear and feel. That means, a user can interact with the systems through the user interface. Effective user interfaces create positive feelings of success and competence. In addition, they enable users to concentrate on their work, exploration, or pleasure. The German word "Gestalt" means "whole" as well as a figure or a shape. A comprehensive information systems (IS) literature review found that there has been little empirical evidence on the Gestalt principles in UIs that affect online users' perceived usability in a Web context. Therefore, the goals of this study are to 1) examine the relationships between Gestalt principles in UIs and online users' perceived usability in a Web context and 2) come up with design guidelines to enhance user success. Using a survey, this study explored the relationships between Gestalt principles used in six Web sites and 17 aspects of usability. The results showed that in terms of 16 aspects of usability, there are significant differences among the UIs that have different levels of Gestalt principles. In practice, online stores may use these findings to improve their Web pages. Specifically, the sixteen usability attributes can be used to check whether online stores' Web pages meet customers' user interface quality expectations.

사용성에 대한 사람들의 관심이 증가하고 있는 반면, 사용성 평가 계획의 수립과 진행, 평가결과의 수집과 분석을 지원하는 시스템은 미비한 실정이다. 사용성 평가는 크게, 사용성 평가 계획 수립, 실제 평가 진행, 평가 후 결과 수집 및 분석의 절차를 가지고 있으며, 본 논문에서는 사용성 평가의 전 과정에서 활용할 수 있는 웹 기반 사용성 평가 시스템을 설계 및 구현하였다. 따라서, 사용성 평가에 참가하는 참가자들은 언제 어디서나 기기에 상관없이 효과적으로 사용성 평가에 참여하고, 사용성 평가 책임자는 평가 관련 문서와 결과 데이터를 보다 효율적으로 관리하고 평가의 전 과정의 진행에서 신뢰도를 높일 수 있는 시스템을 구현하는 데 목표를 두었다. 웹 기반 사용성 평가 시스템은 제품의 사용성 평가를 실제 사용하는 장소에서 바로 수행할 수 있다는 장점과 이동이 불편한 장애인 대상 제품의 사용성 평가에 유용할 것으로 기대한다.

This study considered the most crucial elements in websites as web usability and web accessibility. The web usability signified the empirical satisfaction of ordinary users on websites and how much they used the relevant websites conveniently and accurately, while the web accessibility signified the technical support that could have an easy access to web contents and the principles of cognitive aspects, by considering the users such as those who have been alienated from information. Even if the people were given lots of beneficial information, the websites would be useless if their usability and accessibility were not considered. It would be necessary to reduce the information gap by letting any users (the physically challenged, the elderly, etc.) give an access to every information without any professional abilities and to provide the efficient websites corresponding to the embodiment goal of e-government through rapidity and accuracy of contents and the feedback for systematic structure and people's demand.

교육컨텐츠의 양적 팽창은 필연적으로 질적 개선에 대한 관심을 불러일으킨다. 양적으로 풍부한 컨텐츠가 존재하는 상황에서는 학습자들은 같은 인터넷 정보라도 질 높은 사이트를 찾고자 한 것이고, 개발자나 정보제공자는 이러한 수요에 부응하는 WBI를 제공하여야만 생존이 가능할 것이기 때문이다. 그럼에도 불구하고 많은 사이트들은 아직도 사용자의 입장에서 보다는 개발자 자신의 취향이나 시장논리에 의해서 컨텐츠를 제공하는 경우가 많다. 본 연구는 컨텐츠 개발시 질적 완성도가 높은 WBI를 개발하기 위한 방법의 하나로 Usability Test를 제안하고 그 유용성을 시험하기 위해 수행되었다. 이 과정에서 Usability Test를 위한 한 사례로서 <지층과 화석>이라는 컨텐트가 제작되었으며 그 제작 사례를 통해 WBI 완성도 향상을 위한 Usability Test 의 실천방안들이 논의 되었다.
