교육용 웹 사이트 평가를 위한 준거의 개발 및 적용 (Development and Application of Criteria for Evaluating Educational Web Sites)

  • 웹에 존재하는 넘치는 정보 중에서 이를 교육의 목적으로 활용하기 위해서는 해당 정보에 대한 사전 검증이 반드시 선행되어야 한다. 현재에도 웹의 많은 정보들이 교수-학습의 내용으로 활용되고 있고 또 웹기반교육이나 정보통신기술활용교육의 소재가 되고 있으나 이들 정보에 대한 총체적 질을 관리하기란 여간 어려운 일이 아니다. 본 연구는 교육용 웹 사이트에서 제공하는 정보의 질 관리에 유용한 도움을 줄 수 있는 평가의 준거를 개발, 적용해 보고 이러한 과정을 통하여 교육용 웹 사이트 설계, 개발과정에 최우선적으로 고려되어야 할 중요한 사항들을 제안해 보고자 하였다. 이를 위해, 교육용 웹 사이트의 평가에 유용하다고 판단되는 평가항목들을 체계적으로 분류 정리하고 교육용 웹 사이트에 대한 만족도 항목을 추가한 뒤, 통계적 분석과정을 통해 의미있는 평가준거들을 제안하였다. 각 개별 평가항목을 설문항목으로 전환하여 설문조사를 실시하여 개별항목의 신뢰성과 타당성을 검증해 보았으며 이 과정을 통해 추출된 14개 요인과 웹 사이트 만족도 간의 희귀분석을 통해 중요 평가지표들을 추출해 보았다. 이 과정에서 학습자중심의 교육용 웹 사이트 개발에 최우선적으로 고려되어야 할 평가지표들이 제안 되었고, 설계적 시사점 등이 논의되었다.

  • 본 연구는 학술정보 사이트의 효과적인 레이블링(labeling) 체계를 제안하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 이를 위해 국내외 문헌을 조사하여 웹 사이트의 레이블링 체계를 구축하기 위한 기준으로 삼을 수 있는 지침을 분석하였다. 국내 학술정보 웹 사이트가 채택하고 있는 네비게이션의 내용을 표현하는데 사용된 용어들에 대해 조사/분석하였다. 이를 바탕으로 웹 사이트 사용성을 극대화 시킬 수 있기를 기대한다.

공간 지식을 적용한 항해 시스템에 관한 연구 - 대규모 웹 사이트를 중심으로 - (An empirical study of the effectiveness of spatial navigation system - Focus on large-scale web sites -)

  • As the average size of web sites gets larger, users tend to experience more severe problems while navigating through the sites. In order to alleviate the navigation-related problems, this paper proposes two new navigation systems based on the spatial metaphor to the navigation in the real world. Prototypes of the two system, Complete Route Navigation(CRN) and Complete Survey Navigation(CSN), were developed and applied to four versions of test bed web sites, which were then used in an experiment to test the effectiveness of the two navigation systems. Results from the experiment indicate that the two systems are indeed effective in aiding users to navigate in a large scale web site, and have more positive impacts when provided together. This paper ends with the limits of the study results and their implications to the development of large-scale web sites.

국내 의료기관 웹 사이트에 대한 사용성 평가 (Usability Evaluation for Hospital Web sites in Korea)

  • 본 연구에서는 국내 의료기관 웹 사이트를 대상으로 사용성 평가를 실시하고 그 결과를 분석하였다. 의료기관을 대학병원, 종합병원, 병원 그룹으로 나누고 각 그룹에서 4개씩 총 12개 병원을 선정하여 평가하였으며, 사용성 평가를 위해 평가 전 설문지, 태스크 수행 평가, 평가 후 설문지 그리고 평가자 인터뷰를 실시하였다. 태스크 수행 평가 결과를 살펴보면, 대학병원은 다른 그룹과 비교해 볼 때 비교적 사용성을 고려하여 설계되었으나 방대한 정보로 인한 복잡한 화면 구성과 모호한 인터페이스는 사용자에게 불편을 주는 요인으로 나타났으며, 보다 나은 사용성을 위해 사용빈도가 높은 주요 웹 서비스의 절차를 단순화하는 작업이 필요하다고 판단된다. 병원의 경우 태스크 수행과 관련된 서비스가 체계적이지 못하거나 서비스 자체가 제공되지 않는 경우도 있어 개선이 필요하였다.

남녀 영 캐주얼 업체의 웹사이트에 나타난 소비자 정보 분석 (The Analysis of Consumer Information Posted on Young Casual Brand Web Sites)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the content and presentation style of consumer information of Korean young casual apparel brand. To collect the data for this study, the representative 25 casual brand web sites were selected, based on major search engines. In addition, to investigate exact product information, four product categories, knit shirts and casual pants for men and women, were selected and the number of products was limited as maximum 15 products per each category. A coding instrument was developed to capture the consumer information, based on the instrument by Park and Stoel(2002). The Pretest was conducted to gauge inter-coder reliability and the results showed that inter-coder reliability was highly acceptable. The results of this study were as follows. Most casual brand web sites for this study were presented well in brand and customer service information. Especially, many web sites provided various engaging information such as various events(best dresser contest, date with a star, special gift) and useful multimedia file(MP3 music file, screen saver, movie, calender). However, product information was very lack in most web sites. Especially, sizing and fitting information and textile and fabric hand information were rarely provided. Therefore, this result showed that the web sites should provide more specific product information and develop devices to get tactile sensory and experiential information for enhancement of future e-commerce of apparel products.

교육용 웹 사용 성과에 영향을 미치는 요인에 대한 연구 (A Study on the Factors Affecting Performance of Education Web Usage by University Students)

  • This study aimed at improving our understanding of education-related Web usage for schoolwork and research in universities. This study found out a list of factors that influence the usage of education-related Web sites by Korean and New Zealand university students and suggested the features of those factors. These findings will enhance further understanding of factors associated with Education-related Web usage and the relationship among attitude, intention to use, and performance, which could help web practitioners design and develop education-related Web sites to promote web usage and attract university students into their web sites.

웹 이용자의 접속 정보 분석을 통한 웹 활용 그래프의 구성 및 분석 (An Analysis on the Web Usage Pattern Graph Using Web Users' Access Information)

  • There are many kinds of research on web graph, most of them are focus on the hyperlinked structure of the web graph. Well known results on the web graph are rich-get-richer phenomenon, small-world phenomenon, scale-free network, etc. In this paper, we define 3 new directed web graph, so called the Web Usage Pattern Graph (WUPG), that nodes represent web sites arid arcs between nodes represent a movement between two sites by users' browsing behavior. The data to constructing the WUPG, approximately 56,000 records, are gathered from some users' PCs. The results analysing the data summarized as follows : (i) extremely rich-get-richer phenomenon (ii) average path length between sites is significantly less than the previous one (iii) less external hyperlinks, more internal hyperlinks.

서비스정보관리자를 위한 웹사이트 인터페이스 평가요인에 관한 연구 (An Empirical Study on Web Site User-Interface Evaluation For Service Information Management)

  • The main objective of this research is to find out whether there exist any user interface factors that influence service information management professionals(SIMP)'s business activities on the web. The result of this study shows that there exists a significant level of difference between two groups of office Professionals: SIMP and general office management professionals on user interface factors. We analyzed the past and current research results and focused on four major evaluation categories: (1) web design, (2) structure, (3) navigation, and (4) interaction and identified 26 evaluation items in those categories. The study has been initiated by an intuition that there might be a significant difference in sets of user interface factors that influence SIMP and general office professionals. From the list of Best 100 Web Sites the best 30 information-providing web sites and the best 30 service-providing web sites were carefully chosen by a panel of 10 members for each group. To evaluate 60 web sites, another panel was formed by 30 professionals from each group, and they conducted evaluation in their own work settings. Reliability analysis on user interface factors and T-test to find out any influencing factors on SIMP were performed. As a result of this study, we have recognized that clarity, formation, consciseness, economics, and robustness are the most influencing user interface factors for web designers to concern when they develop web sites for SIMP. The study result can be improved by enhancing reliability of choosing target web sites In investigate and panel members. Also, in the future study it is recommended to investigate influencing factors for office professionals in terms of. age, sex, experience, academic background, etc.

Third, the future implementation strategies for fashion web sites are suggested.

국내 인터넷 뱅킹 사이트의 웹 접근성 준수 실태 (Web Accessibility Compliance of Internet Bankings in Korea)

  • According to the statistics revealed by Bank of Korea on March, 2007, Internet banking transactions outnumbered face-to-face banking services in Korea. Internet banking is becoming essential in every financial service sectors. For people with disabilities, Internet banking is more meaningful because they do not need to visit the bank, thereby saving inconvenient trips. Governments in many countries are working on setting standards and laws on the web accessibility for people with disabilities. Korea government enacted Korea Disability Discrimination Act in 2007. This paper examined the web accessibility compliance of Internet banking sites. Twenty one Internet banking sites were selected from the list in the Korea Federation of Banks's Web sites. We examined four major checkpoints that are considered crucial among the fourteen checkpoints in "Internet Web Contents Accessibility Guidelines" which was amended by Ministry of the information and Communication in 2005. The results showed that all of the twenty one Internet banking sites didn't meet the four major checkpoint requirements. Moreover, only one banking site satisfied alt-text requirement that is considered the most fundamental among the checkpoints.
