전투효과분석 신뢰성 향상을 위한 다중에이전트 시뮬레이션 적용방안 (Application of Multi-agent Based Simulation for Improving the Credibility of Combat Effectiveness Analysis)

  • 일반적으로 신뢰성 분석결과는 모든 의사결정자에게 중요하다. 특히 제한된 무기체계로 최대효과를 만들어야 하는 군 지휘관의 경우에는 시뮬레이션 결과에 의해 방책을 결정해야 하기 때문에 더욱 중요하게 된다. 따라서 군사분야 연구에서 시뮬레이션 결과의 신뢰성 향상문제는 중요한 이슈가 되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 무기효과분석 결과의 신뢰성 향상을 위한 새로운 시뮬레이션 프레임웍을 제안하였다. 이를 위해 다중에이션트 시뮬레이션 기법을 적용하였고 이 결과를 기존의 절차에 의한 결과와 비교하였다. 결과비교를 위하여 지휘영역 확장을 위한 통신중계기 설치를 사례로 제시하였다. 본 사례분석을 통해 본 논문에서 제안된 다중에이전트 프레임웍을 적용했을 경우에 시뮬레이션 결과의 신뢰성이 향상되는 것을 보여주었다.

한국군 실 사격 훈련간 효율적인 안전지대 데이터 구축 방안 연구 (A Study on the Effective Method to Producing Data for The ROKA Live Fire Training Range Safety)

  • An effective method for produce munitions effectiveness data is to calculate weapon effectiveness indices in the US military's Joint Munitions Effectiveness Manuals (JMEM) and take advantage of the damage evaluation model (GFSM) and weapon Effectiveness Evaluation Model (Matrix Evaluator). However, a study about the Range Safety that can be applied in the live firing exercises is very insufficient in the case of ROK military. The Range Safety program is an element of the US Army Safety Program, and is the program responsible for developing policies and guidance to ensure the safe operation of live-fire ranges. The methodology of Weapon Danger Zone (WDZ) program is based on a combination of weapon modeling/simulation data and actual impact data. Also, each WDZ incorporates a probability distribution function which provides the information necessary to perform a quantitative risk assessment to evaluate the relative risk of an identified profile. A study of method to establish for K-Range Safety data is to develop manuals (pamphlet) will be a standard to ensure the effective and safe fire training at the ROK military education and training and environmental conditions. For example, WDZs are generated with the WDZ tool as part of the RMTK (Range Managers Tool Kit) package. The WDZ tool is a Geographic Information System-based application that is available to operational planners and range safety manager of Army and Marine Corps in both desktop and web-based versions. K-Range Safety Program based on US data is reflected in the Korean terrain by operating environments and training doctrine etc, and the range safety data are made. Thus, verification process on modified variables data is required. K-Range Safety rather than being produced by a single program, is an package safety activities and measures through weapon danger zone tool, SRP (The Sustainable Range Program), manuals, doctrine, terrain, climate, military defence M&S, weapon system development/operational test evaluation and analysis to continuously improving range safety zone. Distribution of this K-range safety pamphlet is available to Army users in electronic media only and is intended for the standing army and army reserve. Also publication and distribution to authorized users for marine corps commands are indicated in the table of allowances for publications. Therefore, this study proposes an efficient K-Range Safety Manual producing to calculate the danger zones that can be applied to the ROK military's live fire training by introducing of US Army weapons danger zone program and Range Safety Manual

소프트웨어 오류 추정 기법을 활용한 공대지 사격 오류 요인 분석 모델 (The Fault Analysis Model for Air-to-Ground Weapon Delivery using Testing-Based Software Fault Localization)

  • 본 논문에서는 오류 검출을 위해 소프트웨어 오류 추정 기법을 활용하여 항공무장 시스템인 공대지 사격의 오류 요인을 분석하기 위한 모델을 제시하고 모델을 기반으로 오류 요인 영향을 분석하였다. 선행 연구에서는 공대지 무기체계의 정확도에 영향을 미치는 오류 요소를 분석하고 결함위치추정 기법인 FBEL(Factor-based Error Localization) 기법을 제안하였으며 실사격 자료에 적용하여 오류 요소를 분석하였다. 그러나 다양한 요인 중 하나의 요인인 정확도를 고정하여 적용하므로 다양한 사격 정확도 변화에 따른 사격 오류 발생 요소와의 상관관계는 밝히지 못하였다. 본 연구에서는 사격 오류 요소의 상관관계 분석을 통하여 보다 세밀한 오류 분석 모델을 제시하고 시간과 비용이 제한적이거나 테스트 케이스가 적은 상태에서 오류 발생 가능 요소를 추정하는 방법을 제안한다. 제안된 방법은 실사격 자료를 이용한 시뮬레이션을 통해 그 효용성을 입증하였으며, 무기체계 공대지 시험평가에서 어떤 요소들이 정확도에 영향을 미치는 지를 분석하는데 성공적으로 활용될 수 있음을 보였다.

함정 대공방어시스템의 효과도를 활용한 피격성 추정 가능성 연구 (A Feasibility Study on the Estimation of a Ship's Susceptibility Based on the Effectiveness of its Anti-Air Defense Systems)

  • Recently, the increased use of anti-ship guided missiles, a weapon system that detects and attacks targets in naval engagement, has come to pose a major threat to the survivability of ships. In order to improve the survivability of ships in response to such anti-ship guided missiles, many studies of means to counteract them have been conducted in militarily advanced countries. The integrated survivability of a ship can be largely divided into susceptibility, vulnerability, and recoverability, and is expressed as the conditional probability, if the ship is hit, of damage and recovery. However, as research on susceptibility is a major military secret of each country, access to it is very limited and there are few publicly available data. Therefore, in this study, a possibility of estimating the susceptibility of ships using an anti-air defense system corresponding to anti-ship guided missiles was reviewed. To this, scenarios during engagement, weapon systems mounted to counter threats, and maximum detection/battle range according to the operational situation of the defense weapon system were defined. In addition, the effectiveness of the anti-air defense system and susceptibility was calculated based on the performance of the weapon system, the crew's ability to operate the weapon system, and the detection probability of the detection/defense system. To evaluate the susceptibility estimation feasibility, the sensitivity of the detailed variables was reviewed, and the usefulness of the established process was confirmed through sensitivity analysis.

WinJMEM 모형을 이용한 시설물 피해산정에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Attrition Rate of Facility Using the WinJMEM)

  • This paper deals with the attrition rate of major facility such as a particular building that is one of the most important target in the war time. In order to estimate the attrition rate, we use JAWS, WinJMEM which are programed by JTCG/ME of AMSAA and spreadsheet package which is able to assist the limitation of those programs and calculate all the procedure of this computation. This method uses the effectiveness index(El) which indicates the numerical measure of the effectiveness of a given weapon of a given target. The range error probable(REP) and the deflection error probable(DEP) in the ground plane also should be used. Those mean the measure of delivery accuracy of the weapon system. In this paper, it is improved that the El can be obtained from the regression analysis using the weight of the warhead explosive as the independent variable. It implies that we are able to obtain the El and the conditional probability of damage of the enemy weapon. After that, the single-sortie probability of damage can be computed using WinJMEM or another assistant program such as the spreadsheet package which shows the result immediately.

소형표적에 대한 합동 해안경계시스템 작전효과 분석방법 연구 (A Study on the Analysis Method of the Operations Effectiveness of the Joint Coastal Guard System Against Small Targets)

  • 합동 해안경계시스템은 해상경계시스템과 해안대침투경계시스템으로 구성되며 주로 해군이 해상경계를, 육군이 해안대침투경계를 책임지고 있는 시스템이다. 육군 및 해군의 다양한 무기체계가 복합적으로 운용되는 합동 해안경계시스템이 소형표적을 대상으로 어느 정도의 성공적인 작전수행이 가능한지에 대한 작전효과를 분석하였다. 작전효과 분석은 작전형태별 작전효과 정의, METT-T 요소를 활용한 모의환경 구성과 모의 시나리오 가정 수립, 모의실시 및 기상상태별 모의결과 분석으로 진행되었고 시뮬레이션 도구는 NORAM(해군작전 및 자원소요분석모델)과 EADSIM(통합방공작전분석모델)을 사용하였다. 작전효과 분석결과, 현재 운용중인 합동 해안경계시스템은 표적의 크기와 기상상태에 따라 작전성공에 상당한 차이를 보였다. 연구결과는 효과적인 합동 해안경계시스템을 구축하고 체계적인 경계작전을 수행하는데 유용한 자료로 활용될 수 있다.

국방무기체계 연구개발 기반 경제적·기술적 파급효과 : 지상·해상·공중 무기체계를 중심으로 (Economical & Technological Ripple Effects in Acquiring New Weapon System : Focused on Ground·Sea·Air Weapon System)

  • The private sector is currently reviewing the feasibility of the project or deciding economic policies by analyzing the economic ripple effects. However, the arms acquisition project focuses on the need for the national defense weapons system by analyzing the costs and the effectiveness of the analysis and reviewing the necessity and feasibility of the project. In order to analyze the economic ripple effects, KB (the Bank of Korea) prepares and publishes an analysis table of industrial associations in a given unit. IAAR (the industrial association analysis report) is difficult to apply directly to the defense weapons system. Therefore, research on the economic ripple effects applicable to the defense arms procurement project was needed. In this study, we propose the generic methodology for estimating economical and technical ripple effects resulted in acquiring new weapon systems. Based on the analysis of inter-industrial relations, economical ripple effects are estimated with production inducing effects, value-induced effects, employment-induced effects and export-induced effects. Also, the technological ripple effects are estimated with technological intensity represented by investment cost in research and development. To show the validity of proposed methodology, a case study of acquiring new weapon systems such as GR (guided rocket), destroyer, and helicopter is accomplished. From the case study, it is concluded that these economical & technological ripple effects can be used as a reference to decision making in the course of acquiring major future defense weapons systems.

해안방어 무기체계 효과분석 방법론: 사례연구를 중심으로 (A Case Study on Analysis Methodology of Costal Defence Weapon System)

  • As the types of North Korea's provocation are diverse and unexpectable in the costal area, ROK navy needs to develop countermeasures, such as costal defence guided rockets. Recently ROK navy developed the PKX-B which is equipped with the new 130 mm guided rocket. The most popular rockets are LOGIR for short range targets, 130 mm guided rocket for middle range targets and Spike-NLOS for long range targets. As various guided rockets are developed, it is required to develop a guided rocket analysis model and it's analysis methodology. In addition, these guided rockets can be installed on any platforms; ground vehicle, aircraft and warship. The paper proposes systematic methodology to estimate the operational effectiveness of costal defence guided rockets. A case study exploiting the ARENA simulation model is explained to demonstrate the implementation of the proposed methodology.

무장데이터링크의 효과적인 운용을 위한 고려사항 고찰 (Research of Considerations for Effective Operation of Weapons Data Link)

  • U.S. and the allies attacked chemical weapons sites in Syria in 2018, and verbal battles are carried out about the effectiveness of the air strike. Syria claimed 13 missiles were shot down, and Russia claimed 71 missiles were shot down while the U.S. released pictures of completely destroyed targets, only. It led controversy about the effectiveness of missile defense system. If there is a method to observe mission success rate of the air strike, it can not only improve combat awareness but also can be a good sales strategy in military industry. This paper describes effects and considerations of a Weapon Data Link(WDL) technology which can be used as a smoking gun of effectiveness. The paper describes WDL abilities such as In-Flight Track Update, Loiter, and Bomb Hit Indication etc., and presents examples of expected effectiveness of the WDL. In addition, this paper briefly summarizes operational consideration for better performance.

탄두 기폭실험 결과를 활용한 워게임모델 모의논리 개발 (Development of Simulation Logic for Wargame Model Based on Warhead Detonation Test Data)

  • 무기체계의 연구개발에 앞서 예상되는 효과를 분석하는 것은 개발의 목표와 방향 설정을 위해 중요한 요소이다. 하지만 개발 과정에서 완성 단계를 가정하고 효과를 분석하는 것은 쉬운 일이 아니며, 특히 기존에는 없던 새로운 개념의 무기체계의 경우 이러한 어려움은 더욱 크다. 본 연구에서는 기준 시점에서 완료된 설계내용과 개발된 파편탄두의 기폭실험결과를 반영하여 개인용 소형 유도무기에 대한 효과분석을 하였다. 전투효과 분석을 위해 모의도구에서 요구되는 탄의 정확도 도출을 위하여 설계된 탄 형상이 반영된 6-DOF 시뮬레이터를 활용한 몬테카를로 시뮬레이션을 통해 정확도를 산출하였으며, 대인 효과도 도출을 위하여 파편탄두 기폭실험을 수행 후 대인효과도를 도출하였다. 이후 전투모의 도구인 OneSAF(One Semi-Automated Forces)에 도출된 결과를 반영하기 위한 모의논리 개발 방법론을 제시하였다. 제안된 방법론의 적용성을 확인하여 위하여, 적용 무기체계의 테스트 시나리오들로 모의실험을 진행하여 반영한 모의논리가 의도한 대로 작동함을 확인하였다.
