해수교환방파제의 형상별 순유입유량 특성 비교 (Comparison of the Net Inflow Rates of Seawater Exchange Breakwater of Different Shapes)

  • The seawater exchange breakwaters can be effectively employed to conserve or enhance the water quality inside harbors by transmitting the exterior water into the harbor. In the present study, three shapes of the breakwater, that is, the flow conduit embedded type, the wave chamber type and the oscillating water channel type are compared far their water exchanging capability through regular wave experiments. The results show that the net influx of water appears differently depending on wave period for each breakwater type. The net influx of the wave chamber type is much greater than that of the flow conduit embedded type. It is also ascertained that the influx of the oscillating water channel type can be greatly enhanced by attaining the resonance condition inside the channel at the wave periods frequently occurring at the fields where the breakwaters are to be installed.

  • A new package design method to reduce resonance effect due to an IC package is represented. Frequency-variant circuit model of the power/ground plane was developed to accurately reflect the resonance. The circuit model is benchmarked with a full wave simulation, thereby verifying its accuracy. Then it was shown that the proposed technique can efficiently reduce the resonance due to the IC package.

  • 본 논문에서는 금속 평행평판에 일반 유전체 기판인 FR4 대신 Metamaterial을 삽입할 경우에 발생할 수 있는 전자기 공진 특성과 임피던스 변화에 대하여 연구하였다. 기판을 DPS는 물론 Metamateral인 ENG, MNG, DNG 형으로 나눠, 투자율 함수를 위해 SRR 형식의 Lorentz 모델과, 유전율 함수를 위해 금속선 주기 배열 형식의 Drude 모델을 정확한 계산이 가능한 Full-wave 모드해석기법에 반영하여 평행평판이 가지는 공진모드들과 임피던스의 변화양상을 관측하였다. 관측을 통해 전자장비의 품질을 저하시키는 평행평판의 불요공진모드 억제를 위한 기판설계 가이드라인을 수립할 수 있었다.

유압관로의 주파수변화 따른 압력전파특성 (A Characteristics of pressure Propagation According to Frequency Changes in a Hydraulic Pipeline)

  • In this paper, an oil hydraulic pipeline is terminated by both rotary sinusoidal flow generator at upstream oriffice at down stream. The pulsating pressure wave from generated by the rotary sinusoidal flow generator, is measured by using sensor. In the analysis of this paper, a component of the fundamental frequency is obtained by using Laplace transformation.. The experimental and analytical results make clear that (1) viscosity is significant role in hydraulic pipe. (2) When pulsating frequency is matched with the natural frequency, resonance frequency occured periodically. According to the study proposed here, dynamic pressure in a circular oil pipe is expressed in propagation of pressure wave with respect to frequency and Bessel function. The resonance at oil temperature $20^{\circ}$$0^{\circ}C$ in this study. The abrupt change of gain value is due to effect of resonance frequency. The results of experiment are compared with the calculated results, and agreement of both results is fairly good.

수분측정장치용 인덕턴스 부하 소형 개루우프 진행파 안테나의 특성 해석 (Analysis of inductance loaded small type open-loop travelling wave antenna for moisture mesurement systems)

  • In this paper, we proposed an inductance loaded small type open-loop travelling wave antenna model for the suitable VHF/UHF frequency bands moisture measurement systems and analyzed its operating characteristics by galerkin's solution method. This antenna model enables to change the oeprating rsonance frequency from the frequency range 150 Mhz to 1.0 Ghz without changing the antenna design dimensions by only varing the load inductance values and it showed the similar operating charcteristics and narrowband resonance characteristics at each resonance frequencies. Also this model showed the uniformly distriubte dpower radiation characteristics above the loop axis and it can effectively suppress the spurious radiations from its narrowband resonance characteristics.

가열된 평판위에 매달려 있는 액적의 음향공진에 의한 열 및 물질 전달 촉진에 관한 연구 (Heat and Mass Transfer Enhancement of a pendant droplet on heated horizontal surface by acoustic resonance)

  • Nonlinear and forced oscillations of supported viscous droplet were focused in the present study. The droplet has a free contact line with solid plate and inviscid fluid. Natural frequencies of a pendant droplet have been investigated experimentally by imposing the acoustic wave while the frequency is being increased at a fixed amplitude. The evaporation was observed at atmosphere pressure. The droplet was recorded throughout the entire evaporation process and transient variations of the volume was measured. The evaporation process of oscillating droplet with thermofoil has been also observed to investigate analyzing the resonance effect on the thermal characteristics of droplet. It is found that a pendant droplet shows the resonant behaviors at each mode similar to the theoretical analysis. During imposing the acoustic wave, the pendant droplet makes a rotating motion in its longitudinal axis which is a new shape oscillation mode. The evaporation rate of a pendant droplet at resonant frequency is significantly enhanced.

  • When the high-speed train running on the track, there is a speed band which track distortion is unusually increased according to the condition of track and roadbed. This speed is called critical velocity and physical parameter value increased greatly. These phenomenon happened as high-speed train were developed, studied regularly through TGV 100 running test in France. As research result until now, the main reason is soft roadbed's capacity. Wave propagation and track support capacity is varied by the site characteristics. This paper achieved theoretical examination about resonance band(speed and frequency) that occurred in roadbed on the base rock in point of geotechnical engineering. The examination of resonance divides with ground response analysis, critical band analysis by the shear wave velocity of roadbed, train critical speed through the ground stratum.

밀리미터파용 세라믹 패키지에서의 기생공진 해석 및 억제 방법 (Analysis and Suppression of Parasitic Resonance in Millimeter-wave Ceramic Packages)

  • 패키지는 외부 회로에 의한 내부 회로의 보호와 함께 내부회로로부터의 누설 전자파가 전체 회로 성능에 영향을 미치지 않도록 하여야 한다. 본 논문에서는 유한요소법(FEM : Finite Element Method)을 이용하여 20~40 ㎓까지 전자기적으로 차폐된 밀리미터파 대역용 세라믹 패키지의 광대역 특성을 해석하였다. 해석 결과, 패키지 외부를 전자기적으로 차폐시킴으로써 33.4 ㎓에서 기생공진 현상이 발생함을 확인하였다. 패키지의 이러한 기생공진 현상을 억제하기 위해 세라믹 패키지 벽에 금(Gold)이 채워진 금속봉을 이용하였으며, 그 결과 세라믹 패키지의 상용 대역인 20~40 ㎓에서 공진 현상을 효과적으로 제거할 수 있었다. 따라서 본 해석결과는 전자기적으로 차폐된 밀리미터파 대역용 세라믹 패키지를 이용한 MMIC (Monolithic Microwave Integrated Circuit) 실장에 유용하게 사용될 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

수소와 탄화수소 계열 연료의 비정상 연소에 의한 파이프 변형 연구 (A Study of Structural Response of Pipes due to Internal Gaseous Detonation of Hydrogen- and Hydrogen-Air Mixtures)

  • 수소나 탄화수소 계열 연료의 비정상 연소에 의해 발생된 데토네이션 파와 같은 이동 하중이 특정한 속도로 파이프 내부에서 전파하는 경우를 고려한다. 파이프 내부를 통과하는 데토네이션 파의 속도는 굽힘파의 활성화 정도와 큰 변형을 일으키는 공진이 발생할 가능성을 결정한다. 본 연구에서는 데토네이션 파가 파이프 내부를 통과할 때의 변위의 이론적해와 공진현상이 일어날 조건을 설명하였다. 또한 이론적 결과를 다중물질간의 간섭을 고려한 DNS를 통하여 이론의 정당성을 증명하였다. 이 정당성을 기반으로 하여 보다 더 실제적인 상황에서 일어날 수 있는 경우에 대하여 고려하였다. 본 연구의 결과를 바탕으로 일반적인 원자력, 화학, 설비 산업에서 발생할 수 있는 수소나 탄화수소 관련 폭발에 의한 사고들을 예방할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

Experimental study of wave energy extraction by a dual-buoy heaving system

  • The concentric dual-buoy Wave Energy Converter (WEC), which consists of external buoy (hallow-cylinder) with toroidal appendage and cylindrical internal buoy within the moon-pool is suggested in this research and its performance in various wave conditions is studied. The Linear Electric Generator (LEG), consisting of a permanent magnet and coils, is used as a direct Power Take-Off (PTO) system. To maximize the electrical energy extracted from the PTO system, the relative heave motions between the dual buoys must be highly amplified by the multiple resonance phenomena of dual-buoy and internal-fluid motions. The high-performance range can be widened by distributing those natural frequencies with respect to the peak frequency of the wave spectrum. The performance of the newly developed dual-buoy WEC was measured throughout the systematic 1:5.95-model test in regular and irregular waves conducted in a wave tank at Seoul National University. The model-test results are also validated by an independently developed numerical method.
