상수도시설물의 유지관리를 위한 BIM모델 개발 및 BIM 데이터 관리방안 (Development of BIM models and management of BIM data for waterworks maintenance)

  • 3D-based BIM(Building Information Modeling) technologies can be utilized effectively as a means of systematic management of facility information for safety assurance and effective maintenance of waterworks facilities. In this study, BIM models of water treatment facilities that can be used as basic data for BIM-based maintenance of waterworks facilities were developed. Information exchange and generality of the developed BIM models were evaluated by conducting interoperability analysis of IFC(Industry Foundation Classes) conversion models. In addition, the application of COBie(Construction Operations Building information exchange) was recommended as an effective countermeasure to deal with technical limitation regarding exchange and utilization of facilities-related information through current IFC models. The results of this study can contribute to the development of BIM-based maintenance system for waterworks facilities.

최근 세입·세출 분석을 통한 우리나라 수도사업의 현황 및 개선방안 (Current Status and Policies for Improvement of Korean Water works Based on the Analyis of Revenue and Operation Costs)

  • To understand the financial situation of waterworks, the revenue and operation cost from 1996 have been analyzed. The budget of waterworks was 3,775 billion won in 1996 and grew up to 5,774 billion won in 2007. The budget has grown about 1.53 times during 11 years. Based on 2007, total cost for supplying water, rehabilitating old facilities and returning debt and its interest was 4146 billion won. The cost was recovered by 2,825 billion won of water revenue, 827 billion won of various fees revenue, 571 billion won of financial grant and 89 billion won of loan. Until 2007, the 15.3% of operation cost for waterworks was covered by government grant and loan. The renovation cost for old non-efficient facilities was 1,356 billion won in 1996 and was 1,486 billion won in 2007. The renovation cost was not increased remarkably during 10 years. Since the total operation cost was increased about 1.5 times, the percentage for renovating old facilities was decreased from 36% to 25.7%. This trend need to be alerted because the renovation has been slow down when the facilities for water supply need more rehabilitation.

상수도맨홀 관리를 위한 스마트 관리장치의 활용 (Leveraging the Smart device for waterworks manhole management)

  • The waterworks company is in charge of managing water facilities buried underground, and the management has been centered on manholes. However, since there is no standard management manual, it has been impossible to introduce and operate a systemized managing tool by water service providers and managers, and manhole management has been carried out by individual data recording personnel for each water service provider. When the management is carried out individually, the data to be shared by other waterworks managers tend to be privatized, and consequently, it may become a big obstacle to proceed with many civil works such as emergency leak repair, road excavation, replacement of old buildings. This report introduces RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) system which is based on the magnetic field capable of IOT. It also describes the necessity of leveraging the system for smart managing of pipe management record that has been done by hand writing. The RFID system includes RFID marker, data reader, portable computer operating program, and data base server operating program. In this system, the data is managed with a single communication device, and it would be possible to share the information on the underground facilities and water treatment facilities. This RFID technology is expected to provide water service providers with opportunities to develop more scientific and modernized underground facilities information systems.

상수도 지하시설물의 논리적 모델 설계에 관한 기초 연구 (Basic Study on Logical Model Design of Underground Facilities for Waterworks)

  • 본 연구는 지하시설물 중 상수도 부문을 대상으로 국제표준을 준용한 공간 데이터 모델의 논리적 모델을 제시한다. 이를 위하여 국내·외 관련 표준 및 선행연구, 기 구축된 지하시설물통합체계 및 지하공간통합지도에 대한 현황 검토를 수행한다. 이후 선행연구 고찰 및 현황 검토를 통해 도출된 문제점 및 이슈를 토대로 상수도 부문 지하시설물 데이터 모델의 개념적 설계 방향을 마련한다. 설계 방향에 따라 상수도 부문 지하시설물 용어 및 분류 체계 정의, 객체 간의 위상 관계 등을 정의하고, UML (Unified Modeling Language)다이어그램을 이용하여 국제표준으로 제정된 ISO, OGC 등의 준거 모델에 해당하는 표준들을 참조하여 국내 지하 공간 환경에 적합한 새로운 형태의 참조 모델을 마련한다. 다음으로 상수도 부문 지하 공간 데이터 모델의 개념적 설계를 위해서 상수도 분류 체계에 따라 지하시설물 구축에 필요한 모든 데이터에 작명 기준을 규정하고, 그 기준에 따라 표준 항목 명칭을 부여한다. 또한 UML 다이어그램을 활용하여 논리적 모델을 묘화 및 기술한다. 해당 결과물을 토대로 지하시설물 데이터와 관련된 정확도를 제고할 것으로 사료된다.

LBS 기반의 수도정보서비스시스템 개발 (Development of the LBS-based Water Service Information Service System)

  • 1995년 이후 국가 GIS사업 및 지하시설물 관련 GIS DB가 구축되었으나, 이를 효율적으로 활용할 수 있는 시스템 부족으로 인해 활용성 극대화 방안이 모색되고 있다. 또한, 수도시설물의 유지관리를 지원하기 위하여 수도GIS 시스템을 개발하여 운영 중에 있으나, 시스템 운용에 있어 현장업무 지원 및 활용체계가 미진하여 관로의 효율적 관리를 위한 신기술 도입이 필요하다. 본 연구에서는 기 구축된 수도GIS DB의 활성화 및 정보제공 체계의 수도관리 업무를 지원하기 위해 유비쿼터스 기반의 수도 관리 방안을 수립하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 기 구축된 수도GIS 추진현황 및 GIS DB를 분석하여 최신 IT기술 적용방안을 검토하고, 최신 기술 동향 분석을 통하여 수도GIS의 활용성 극대화를 위한 위치기반서비스(LBS; Location Based Service) 기술을 선정하여 수도관리용 모바일 단말기 개발 및 LBS 시스템을 설계 구축하였다. 이를 통해 관로의 효율적 관리 및 운영을 위하여 신기술 도입을 통한 업무지원의 체계성 확보가 가능하며, 현장업무의 효율성을 향상시켜 줄 것으로 판단된다.

수도사업자의 경영환경을 고려한 상수도관망 적정 유지관리비 산정 모델 개발 연구 (The developing optimum maintenance cost model for water pipe network by waterworks business characteristics)

  • For the asset management of a water pipe network, it would be necessary to understand the extent of the maintenance cost required for the water pipe network for the future. This study would develop a method to draw the optimum cost required for the maintenance of the water pipe network in waterworks facilities to maintain the aim revenue water ratio and to achieve the target revenue water ratio, considering the water service providers' waterworks condition and revenue water ratio comprehensively. This study conducted a survey with 96 water service providers as of the early 2015 and developed models to estimate the optimum maintenance cost of the water pipe network, considering the characteristics of the water service providers. Since the correlation coefficient of all the developed models was higher than 0.95, it turned out that it had significant reliability, which was statistically significant. As a result of applying the developed models to the actual water service providers, it was drawn that increasing revenue water ratio to more than a certain level can reduce the maintenance cost of the water pipe network by a great deal. In other words, it is judged that it would be the most efficient to secure the reliability of waterworks management by increasing the short-term revenue water ratio to more than a certain level and gradually increase the revenue water ratio from the long-term perspective. It is expected that the proposed methodology proposed in this study and the results of the study will be used as a basic research for planning the maintenance of water pipe network or establishing a plan for waterworks facilities asset management.

수도GIS 시스템 고도화 및 활용성 증대 방안 (Establishment of advancement and usage-enhancement method of water service GIS system)

  • 본 연구에서는 기 구축된 수도GIS 활용의 활성화 및 정보제공 기반의 체계성을 확보하여 수도관리 업무의 수행에 있어 과학화 달성을 위한 유비쿼터스 기반의 수도관리 방안을 수립하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 기구축된 수도GIS 추진현황 및 GIS DB를 분석하여 최신 IT기술 적용방안을 검토하고, 최신 기술 동향 분석을 통하여 수도GIS의 활용성 극대화를 위한 위치기반서비스(LBS; Location Based Service) 기술을 선정하여 업무전용 모바일 단말기 개발 및 LBS 시스템 설계 구축하였다. 또한, 실시간 수도관리 기술 확보를 위하여 유비쿼터스 기술 및 시스템 활용에 대한 분석을 통해 수도관리 업무의 체계적인 도입을 위한 기술을 검토하여 이를 활용할 수 있는 방안을 제시하였다.

자산관리 상수도분야 리스크 기반 서비스수준 (A Comparative Study of risk based LOS(Level of service) of the Regional Water Supply)

  • The function failure of present major facilities is likely to lead to failure of related systems and/or whole facilities, increasing the necessity for protection of infrastructures, main structures, and major industrial facilities. In addition, safe and efficient management for urban infrastructure (waterworks and sewerage facilities, electricity, telecommunications, roads, etc) installed in the basement or on large cities grounds at various public areas is required. Recently in response to this demand, efforts for vitalizing asset management are being made such as enacting related laws and developing asset management system in the U.S., Australia, Europe and other advanced countries with the concept for a new maintenance. In our county, identifying maintenance system problems such as aging and rapid increasing of existing infrastructures and decision-making about updating maintenance is required for systematic and organizational maintenance. In this study, by comparing and observing the LOS(Level of Service) of each countries' waterworks and risk-based LOS, we suggest the direction of future urban water infrastructure management systems for more effective management.

  • Due to various kind of waterproof materials and methods, which is difficult to select the most appropriate to waterworks. The materials used to prevent the deterioration of the service life is short, because of the chemical erosion. So, in the 2010 Office of Waterworks Seoul Metropolitan Government has set new standards. Recently, SMC panel is a trend that is being applied to water treatment facilities. However, SMC panel has not yet implemented a performance evaluation. Therefore, this study to confirm that satisfaction for the Office of Waterworks Seoul Metropolitan Government of the performance requirements, when the applied the SMC panel to water treatment structure.

Fungal Load of Groundwater Systems in Geographically Segregated Islands: A Step Forward in Fungal Control

  • The fungal distribution, diversity, and load were analyzed in the geographically segregated island groundwater systems in Korea. A total of 79 fungal isolates were secured from seven islands and identified based on the internal transcribed spacer (ITS) sequences. They belonged to three phyla (Ascomycota, Basidiomycota, and Chlorophyta), five classes, sixteen orders, twenty-two families, and thirty-one genera. The dominant phylum was Ascomycota (91.1%), with most fungi belonging to the Cladosporium (21.5%), Aspergillus (15.2%), and Stachybotrys (8.9%) genera. Cladosporium showed higher dominance and diversity, being widely distributed throughout the geographically segregated groundwater systems. Based on the diversity indices, the genera richness (4.821) and diversity (2.550) were the highest in the groundwater system of the largest scale. As turbidity (0.064-0.462) increased, the overall fungal count increased and the residual chlorine (0.089-0.308) had low relevance compared with the total count and fungal diversity. Cladosporium showed normal mycelial growth in de-chlorinated sterilized samples. Overall, if turbidity increases under higher fungal diversity, bio-deterioration in groundwater-supplying facilities and public health problems could be intensified, regardless of chlorine treatment. In addition to fungal indicators and analyzing methods, physical hydrostatic treatment is necessary for monitoring and controlling fungal contamination.
