The purpose of this study is to examine the effects of exercise commitment on leisure satisfaction. Research design, data, and methodology: To accomplish the purpose, the study collected data from undergraduate students who participated water sports class in University. The sample was extracted by purposive sampling of nonprobability sampling. 281 students participated in the survey. Data were computed via correlation test, factor analysis, Cronbach's α test, one way ANOVA, and regression. Significance of all results was set to p<.05. Results: The results are like below. Frist, in terms of differences by demographics, the results indicated that significant difference between exercise commitment and leisure satisfaction by gender was shown only in psychological factor in leisure satisfaction. Second, in terms of the relationship between commitment and satisfaction, the findings pointed out that significant difference between exercise commitment and leisure satisfaction by grade was observed only in leisure satisfaction, especially on the educational part. Third, the study revealed that no significant difference by participation level was shown. Conclusions: In conclusion, the study posits that exercise commitment play a function in increasing the leisure satisfaction. Further implications were discussed.

  • In this study, a conceptual study was performed for the leisure boat simulator used for navigation training. The aim of this work was to secure the basic operational capability of a leisure boat as a simulated driving device for a general novice operator. A leisure boat simulator was designed to support a user more efficiently regarding navigation proficiency and safety training, as well as to minimize the limitation of place and time and it conveniently and cheaply. A cockpit for navigation status display and operational input, 3D visualization graphic device, and parallel display device were designed to give the trainee a maximum sense of reality by applying a motion platform with six degree of freedom, in which disturbance movement such waves, winds, and tide were simulated for the operator. Leisure boat simulator training scenario was developed by analysis of water-related leisure activities act and sea traffic safety act.

  • Objectives : The purpose of this study aimed to investigate that dieckol - isolated from Ecklonia cava - supplementation can improve cognitive ability in mice. Methods : 48-male mice(6 weeks old) were divided into four groups; High-Dieckol group(n=12), Low-Dieckol group(n=12), Placebo group(n=12), Control group(n=12) and they were administered orally 5 days per week for 4 weeks at the same time. We performed Morris water maze test, Passive avoidance test, Blood serotonin analysis. And there was examined on neurogenesis in dentate gyrus of hippocampus using 5-bromo-2'-deoxyuridine (BrdU) to label proliferating cells. Results : The results are as follows; As a Morris water maze results, Trial duration was significantly decreased in high dieckol group comparing to placebo group and control group. Distance to target was significantly decreased in high dieckol group and low dieckol group comparing to placebo group and control group. Mean speed was significantly low in high dieckol group comparing to low dieckol group, placebo group and control group. As a Passive avoidance test results, latency time was significantly long in high dieckol group comparing to low dieckol group, placebo group and control group. BrdU cell count was significantly high in high dieckol group comparing to low dieckol group, placebo group and control group. Conclusions : As a conclusion, it is considered that dieckol supplementation might improve learning and cognitive ability.

  • In this research, to identify the degree of preference and participation in leisure sports, over 19-year-old adults living in the capital region were collected as subjects, and among them, 250 persons were chosen by purposive sampling method. Using SPSSWIN 16.0, I analyzed the collected data by reliability analysis, paired sample t-test, PPA(preference performance analysis) method. The conclusion is the following. First, the first quadrant showed wind surfing, skins-cuba, water-ski, and yacht, and as a result of this, it is necessary to improve the degree of participation in this field, the second quadrant showed golf, racketball snow board, ski, fishing, and climbing, and these field need to specific attention to maintain continuous attention, for they have a great deal of attendance, the third quadrant, showed water sleigh, cart, balloon, sky-diving, orienteering, hang gliding, model plane, and survival game. As the degree of preference and participation in these sports is low, it is recommended that more effort should be made for these sports. Finally, in the forth quadrant, there are tracking, mountain bike, inline skates, rafting, and cycling. As it's the participation is high, while that of preference is low, it is important to maintain the policy of the participation in leisure sports. Sencondly, the degree of preference and participation in leisure sport activicties acording to socio demographic characteristics differentiate.

  • As people have gained leisure time and become more interested in sports, various industries catering to these sports, including aquatic and underwater activities are growing. Many people are getting into scuba diving, where people can explore the sea at depths of more than 40-meters. Despite the increasing demand, there are limited studies on the sport. This study aims to provide basic research on materials suitable for developing technical scuba diving suits by analyzing several areas, such as design, material, sewing patterns, etc. The following trends were observed in all wetsuits: closure designs, ergonomic patterns, practical and functional details. Neoprene was the primary material of diving suits, and various functional materials were attached to the outer fabric or lining. The seam technique which minimized water contact and improved durability was sewing. Various techniques were also applied, such as flatlock stitching, GBS, LFS, etc. Subsequent studies shall investigate consumer preference etc. and other aspects, and continue to allow for the research and development of technical diving suits.

  • Composite materials are currently used in aero-space industry, sport and leisure industry but it has many problems such as mechanical properties deterioration by moisture absorption. In this study, we appraised interlaminar shear strength with specimen that immersed/ immersed-dried in water environment(distilled/sea) during $100{\sim}200$days. In the result, properties degradation of resin part and silan part by moisture absorption is judged early on main cause of interlaminar shear strength, and later destruction of mechanical bonding between silan part and fiber by moisture absorption is Judged later main cause of interlaminar shear strength. In conclusion, the recovery of interlaminar shear strength is judged to difficult due to interfacial destruction by moisture when pass over irreversible by moisture in composite material.
