Data were analyzed by frequencies, t-tests, ANOVA, Pearson correlation coefficients and multiple stepwise regression via SPSS WIN 18.0. Results: The mean scores for hope, gratitude, and spirituality were above-average. However, there were significant mean differences in spirituality according to religion, religious activity, voluntary service, satisfaction with the nursing field, and motivation for entering a college of nursing. Spirituality positively correlated with hope and gratitude. Significant predictors of spirituality included hope, gratitude, voluntary service and religious activity. The regression model explained 51.3% of perceived spirituality. • Purpose: This study aims to examine the power changes in eletrocenphalogram (EEG) detected from the tibialis anterior muscle, during repetitive contraction exercise in normal female adults. Methods: The subjects of this study were 24 normal adult females, with no musculoskeletal or nervous system disorders. The 24 female subjects were divided into two groups: 12 subjects comprised a voluntary stimulation training group, and the other 12 subjects comprised an electrical stimulation training group. A total of thirty contractions were made repetitively by each woman, with maximal voluntary contraction exercise for six seconds, and a resting time of three seconds. During the experiment, their EEG was measured at eight positions. The eight positions were Fpz, Fz, Cz, CPz, C3, C4, P3, and P4, in accordance with the international 10~20 system. Results: The relative alpha power and beta power showed no statistically significant differences between the two groups. But the relative gamma power of the CPz, C3, C4, P3, and P4 areas showed statistically significant differences between the two groups (p<0.05). The relative theta power of the C4 area showed statistically significant differences between the two groups (p<0.05). Conclusion: Our findings show that tibialis anterior muscle contraction by electrical stimulation and by voluntary repeated contraction differentially affected brain activation. In particular, the CPz, C3, C4, P3 positions of relative gamma power showed brain activation in voluntary contraction. The C4 position of relative theta power showed different brain activation between the two groups.

Seven science teachers who had visited Timor-Leste participated in the study. All collected data including the teacher interview were analyzed. As a result, teachers visited Timor-Leste to fulfill social roles and to meet the expectations of others. After returning from Timor-Leste, the teachers regained their passion for teaching and gained confidence in taking on new challenges. Teachers had difficulties in conducting seminars due to the unstable social situation and lack of awareness of Timor-Leste teachers, and experienced communication limitations due to language barriers. Nevertheless, teachers cooperate with local priest to improve these limitations. In addition, teachers supplemented the limitations caused by the non-establishment of the curriculum through the evaluation meeting. In order to improve teaching expertise and promote active participation of Timor-Leste teachers, the seminar method was modified. The experience of volunteering in Timor-Leste made teachers think about the importance of cooperation and the necessity of education. Based on the above results, we discussed ways to activate voluntary service.

  • This study presents a comparative analysis of enforcement and regulatory compliance issues in Korean and American fisheries. The comparison involves characterizing factors which affect regulatory compliance. The study also suggests policy directions and strategies by characteristics of factors suitable to Korean fisheries circumstances in order to induce voluntary compliance from fishers and to make compliance friendly environment for the fishers. In detail, this study has 3 steps as follows. First, this study characterizes factors influencing compliance and non - compliance caused by various reasons and categorizes these factors by considering theories for fisheries regulatory compliance. Major categories of compliance factors consist of fisheries resources, users(fishers), and the government. Each category is composed of several factors and sub - factors by characteristics. Second, this study seeks to diagnose problems and limitations from the regulatory compliance in Korean and US' fisheries by analyzing the current status of the compliance in both countries. The comparative analysis between two countries highlights the problems and limitations of each country's regulatory compliance and leads to implications for Korean fisheries. Third, this study suggests policy directions and strategies suitable to Korean regulatory compliance environment through detailed understanding of U.S.' fisheries regulatory compliance. The suggested strategies are based on the concept of voluntary compliance and compliance - friendly environment, not command and control regulations. Furthermore, this study provides policy suggestions for Korean fisheries regulatory enforcement and compliance issues.
