외란관측기를 이용한 시각구동 방법의 구현 (Experiments on a Visual Servoing Approach using Disturbance Observer)

  • A visual servoing method has been proposed based on disturbance observer to eliminate the effect of the off-diagonal component of image feature Jacobian, since performance indices such as measurement sensitivity of visual features, sensitivity of the control to noise and controllability could be improved when an image feature Jacobian was given as a block diagonal matrix. In this paper, experimental results of disturbance observer-based visual servoing are discussed where Samsung FARAMAN-ASl 6-axis industrial robot manipulator is employed. Also, the feature saturator is proposed to stabilized the disturbance observer loop by saturating the differential changes of the image features.

  • We examined the effect of strip visual stimulation pattern on postural balance control. It was performed by using motor driven clothe panel as visual stimulation. We also investigated the usefulness of HMD in the postural balance rehabilitation training system from the view of reducing the scale of experimental system. Our result showed that strip visual pattern was effective on postural balance control. It also indicated that HMD might be applied to clinical use as a new postural balance training system.

  • In general wireless power transfer systems (WPTSs), power transfer is controlled by the wireless communication between a transmitter (Tx) and a receiver (Rx). However, WPTS is difficult to apply in electronic products that do not have batteries, such as TVs. A WPTS with resonators based on a transformer of LLC series resonant converter is proposed in this study to eliminate wireless communication units between a Tx and an Rx. The proposed system operates at the boundary of the resonance frequency, and the required power can be stably supplied to authorized devices even though some misalignment occurs. Moreover, standby power standards for the electronic product can be satisfied.

The Effect of Visual Feedback of Head Angles With Using a Mobile Posture-Aware System on Craniocervical Angle and Neck and Shoulder Muscles Fatigue During Watching the Smartphone

  • Purpose: To find the effect of visual feedback of head angle with using a mobile posture-aware system on craniocervical angle and neck and shoulder muscles fatigue for preventing or decreasing the forward head posture. Methods: Twenty-four healthy young adults in Chungbuk to participate in this study. The subjects started to watch a movie clip for 10 minutes with visual feedback in $0^{\circ}$, $30^{\circ}$, and $60^{\circ}$ of head angles. During the task, surface electromyography (EMG) was used to collect data from the upper trapezius (UT), sternocleidomasetoid muscle (SCM), cervical erecter spinae (CES) during watching the smartphone. Craniocervical angles were measured using a sagittal-view photograph of the subject in a sitting posture. A one-way repeated analysis of variance with a significant level of 0.05 used for statistical analysis. Results: Craniocervical angle with $0^{\circ}$ visual feedback was significantly greater than $30^{\circ}$ and $60^{\circ}$. Craniocervical angle with $30^{\circ}$ visual feedback was significantly greater than $60^{\circ}$. In addition, MDF of UT muscles in $0^{\circ}$ and $30^{\circ}$ of visual feedback was significantly greater than $60^{\circ}$. Conclusion: We concluded that $0^{\circ}$ visual feedback of head angle with using a mobile posture-aware system would be beneficial to prevent or decrease forward head posture during watching a smartphone. We also could recommend using of $30^{\circ}$ visual feedback in case of caring UT muscle fatigue primarily.

시각적 되먹임 훈련이 편마비 환자의 균형능력에 미치는 영향 (The effect of visual feedback training on balance ability in patients with hemiparetic)

  • Purpose : The purpose of present study was to determine effects of a visual feedback training on balance ability in poststroke hemiparetic subjects. Methods : Fourteen chronic stroke patients participated. Participants were randomly divided into either visual feedback training group(7 experimental group, 7 control group). All of participated were inpatients at local rehabilitation center and had been receiving a traditional rehabilitation program, five days a week. Exprimental group have additionally undergone for four weeks, three days a week, the visual feedback training but control group was not received any additional program except the traditional rehabilitation program. The Berg Balance Scale(BBS), the FICSIT-4, the MTD-balance system to measure a balance ability were carried out twice before and after training. Results : After participation in the program, subjects of visual feedback training demonstrated a significant improvement in the scores of the BBS, the FICSIT-4, the MTD-Balance system. The control group had no change on the any tests. After the training, the result to improve significantly in visual feedback training group compared to post-test of control group were the score of BBS and the FICSIT-4 and the MTD-Balance system. Conclusions : The present study suggests that the visual feedback training program may become a useful strategy for enhancing balance ability in the rehabilitation of stroke patiens.

Reaction Times to Predictable Visual Patterns Reflect Neural Responses in Early Visual Cortex

  • It has long been speculated that the visual system should use a coding strategy that takes advantage of statistical redundancies in images. But how such a coding strategy should manifest in neural responses has been less clear. Low-level image structure related to the power spectrum of natural images appears to be captured by a hard-wired efficient code in the retina of the fly and precortical structures like the LGN of cats that maximizes information content through the limited capacity channel of the optic nerve. But visual images are typically filled with higher-order structure beyond that captured by the power spectrum and visual cortex is not constrained by the same capacity limits as the optic nerve. Whether and how visual cortex can flexibly code for higher order redundancies is unknown. Here we show using psychophysical techniques that the neural response in early human visual cortex may be modulated by orientation redundancies in images such that a visual feature that is contained within a predictive pattern results in slower reaction times than a feature that deviates from a pattern, suggesting lower neural responses to predictable stimuli in the visual cortex. Our results point to a neural response in early visual cortex that is sensitive to global patterns and redundancies in visual images and is in marked contrast to standard models of cortical visual processing.

  • 일반적인 생산일정관리 시스템은 ERP(전사적자원관리)의 모듈로서 MRP(자재소요량계획) 형태로 포함되어 있다. MRP 형태의 생산일정관리 시스템은 설계 및 생산일정의 변화에 신속하고 유연하게 대처할 수 없어 수주생산방식의 중소기업에서 중요한 납기를 지키는 것이 힘든 것으로 알려져 있다. TOC의 DBR Scheduling 시스템은 생산현장의 변화에 유연하고 효과적으로 대처할 수 있는 것으로 알려져 있어 수주생산방식 중소기업의 생산일정을 관리하는데 적합할 것으로 생각한다. 본 논문에서는 TOC 기반의 DBR Scheduling 시스템을 개발하기 위하여 먼저 Together이란 UML 툴을 이용하여 시스템 설계서를 작성하였고 Visual Basic.Net으로 시스템을 개발하였다.

Multi-scale and Interactive Visual Analysis of Public Bicycle System

  • Public bicycle system (PBS) is a new emerging and popular mode of public transportation. PBS data can be adopted to analyze human movement patterns. Previous work usually focused on specific scales, and the relationships between different levels of hierarchies are ignored. In this paper, we introduce a multi-scale and interactive visual analytics system to investigate human cycling movement and PBS usage condition. The system supports level-of-detail explorative analysis of spatio-temporal characteristics in PBS. Visual views are designed from global, regional and microcosmic scales. For the regional scale, a bicycle network is constructed to model PBS data, and an flow-based community detection algorithm is applied on the bicycle network to determine station clusters. In contrast to the previous used Louvain algorithm, our method avoids producing super-communities and generates better results. We provide two cases to demonstrate how our system can help analysts explore the overall cycling condition in the city and spatio-temporal aggregation of stations.

비쥬얼 서보 제어기를 이용한 자율무인잠수정의 도킹 (Underwater Docking of an AUV Using a Visual Servo Controller)

  • Autonomous underwater vehicles (AUVs) are unmanned underwater vessels to investigate sea environments, oceanography and deep-sea resources autonomously. Docking systems are required to increase the capability of the AUVs to recharge the batteries and to transmit data in real time for specific underwater works, such as repeated jobs at sea bed. This paper presents a visual servo control system for an AUV to dock into an underwater station with a camera mounted at the nose center of the AUV. To make the visual servo control system, this paper derives an optical flow model of a camera, where the projected motions of the image plane are described with the rotational and translational velocities of the AUV. This paper combines the optical flow equation of the camera with the AUVs equation of motion, and derives a state equation for the visual servoing AUV. This paper proposes a discrete-time MIMO controller minimizing a cost function. The control inputs of the AUV are automatically generated with the projected target position on the CCD plane of the camera and with the AUVs motion. To demonstrate the effectiveness of the modeling and the control law of the visual servoing AUV, simulations on docking the AUV to a target station are performed with the 6-dof nonlinear equations of REMUS AUV and a CCD camera.

자동 시각 검사 시스템 기술훈련을 위한 라인스캔 카메라 기반의 실습장비 제작 (Implementation of Line Scan Camera based Training Equipment for Technical Training of Automated Visual Inspection System)

  • 자동 시각 검사 장비는 전 세계적으로 제조업 기반의 기업들의 공장 자동화 시스템의 주요 장비로 자리 잡고 있다. 반도체, LCD, 철강, 제지 등 다양한 분야에서 품질관리의 자동화를 위하여 필수적으로 활용되고 있다. 그러나 대학, 직업전문학교 등의 교육기관에서는 이에 대한 교육이 거의 이뤄지지 못하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 자동 시각 검사 시스템의 기술훈련을 위하여 라인스캔 카메라 기반의 자동 시각 검사 장비 교육을 위한 실습 장비에 대해서 다루고 있다. 제작된 시스템은 산업현장에 널리 사용되고 있는 X-Y stage 기반으로 구성되었으며, 영상의 픽셀해상도는 $10-30{\mu}m$의 범위에서 가변적으로 조절 가능하다. 또한 조명구조에 따른 영상효과를 확인하기 위하여, 측면 직사조명과 동축조명을 장착하여 활용할 수 있도록 구성되어 있다. 이는 훈련자가 실습환경에서 다양한 조건들을 변경시키며 실습을 수행할 수 있음을 의미하며, 실제 제조 현장에서 활용되는 라인스캔 카메라 기반의 머신비전 시스템과 거의 동일한 기능을 수행하도록 제작되었다.
