Perception of Cervical Cancer Screening Among Japanese University Students Who Have Never Had a Pap Smear: A Qualitative Study

  • This study aimed to explore attitudes towards cervical cancer screening among Japanese university students who had never had a Pap smear. Four focus-group discussions, each with 15 female university students, took place in November and December 2009. Discussions were recorded and transcripts were analyzed to extract attitudes of young women towards cervical cancer screening. The four themes that emerged were: i) a low sense of reality about cervical cancer; ii) a lack of knowledge about both cervical cancer and Pap smears; iii) a lack of motivation to get screened, and iv) a reluctance to visit the gynecologist. Participants who were interested in undergoing screening for cervical cancer cited the influence of conversations with friends and family, a diagnosis of cancer within their family, and relevant information from the media. The results indicate the importance of getting young women more interested in cervical cancer screening and overcoming their tendency to avoid visiting a gynecologist.

  • The study examined relational marketing in terms of transaction specific satisfaction and cumulative satisfaction in the professional sport industry. The study evaluated the motivation of spectators visiting professional baseball games in 2012 and the satisfaction factors of relationship marketing. In this study, the satisfactions were considered in terms of single satisfaction associated with transaction and gradual satisfaction associated with customer loyalty. The relationship marketing was established considering each factor of marketing strategies, facility, game performance and entertainment. The study categorized the factors for customers to visit games as facility, game performance and entertainment with marketing strategies. The study found out that the customer satisfaction was related with both transaction specific satisfaction and cumulative satisfaction where cumulative one is longer term related. Moreover, cumulative satisfaction will be more related with the long term team financial performance.

전주 한옥마을 음식문화에 대한 소비자 요구도 및 만족도 분석 : Push-Pull factor theory를 적용하여 (Analysis of consumers' needs and satisfaction related to food culture in Jeonju Hanok Village: Application of the Push-Pull factor theory)

  • 최근 음식상품 특화 필요 지역인 전주 한옥마을의 방문객이 증가함에 따라 전주 향토 음식의 상품 개발이 지속적으로 추진되고 있다. 이에 본 연구는 전주 한옥마을 내 방문객의 음식 구매 현황과 방문 동기, 만족도 간의 영향관계를 분석하여 전주 한옥마을 내 건강한 음식문화 형성에 기여하고자 하였다. 선행연구를 바탕으로 개발한 설문조사지를 이용하여 전주시 방문 경험이 있는 한국 성인 590명을 대상으로 설문조사를 수행하였으며 그 중 총 580부가 분석에 이용되었다. 그 결과, 전주 한옥마을 방문 경험이 있는 연구대상자 (n = 508)의 전주 한옥마을 내 음식 구매경험은 '있다 (96.4%)'가 '없다 (3.6%)'보다 높게 나타났으며, 구매 음식 유형은 '전통 한식 (26.5%)', '외국 음식 (25.8%)', '한국 식재료를 포함한 외국 음식 (16.8%)' 순으로 나타나 전주 한옥마을 내에서 다양한 음식 상품을 구매한 것으로 나타났다. 음식 구매 만족도 (3.35점)는 보통 이상으로 나타났으며 만족 이유는 '음식이 맛있어서 (59.6%)', '다양한 음식을 맛볼 수 있어서 (29.8%)' 순으로, 불만족 이유는 '음식의 가격이 비싸서 (48.1%)', '음식이 맛없어서 (19.5%)' 순으로 높은 응답률을 보였다. 방문객의 방문 동기를 추진 요인과 유인 요인으로 구분하여 분석한 결과, 추진 요인으로 '지역음식추구', '경험추구', '휴식추구', '친목추구' 요인이 도출되었으며 유인 요인으로 '전통문화', '시설편리', '체험활동', '음식경험' 요인이 도출되었다. 추진-유인 요인 간의 상호연관성 분석 결과, 유의한 상관관계가 있는 것으로 나타났으며 그 중 유인 요인인 '음식경험' 요인이 추진 요인인 '지역음식추구', '휴식추구', '친목추구' 요인에 가장 높은 상관관계가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 추진-유인 요인과 방문 만족도간의 영향 관계 분석 결과, 모든 추진 요인이 만족도에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며 유인 요인은 '음식경험', '전통문화' 요인만이 만족도에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 이에 본 연구에서는 전주 한옥마을 방문객의 음식 구매 만족도, 만족-불만족 이유를 분석하여 전주 한옥마을 내 음식문화 형성의 방향성을 제시하였으며, 전주 한옥마을 내 음식 요인이 방문객의 내재적 방문동기 (추진 요인)와 만족도에 영향을 주는 요인임을 밝혀내었다. 이를 통해 전주 한옥마을의 음식 요인 관련 연구의 중요성을 시사하였으며 전주 한옥마을 음식 문화 포지셔닝 전략 수립에 유용한 기초자료를 제공하여 전주 한옥마을의 건강한 음식문화 형성에 기여하고자 하였다.

문화유산 관광동기에 따른 시장세분화와 문화재활용 만족도 비교연구 - 중국 대명궁과 병마용을 중심으로 - (The Market Segmentation Study in Accordance with Cultural Heritage Tourists' Motivation and A Comparative study of Satisfaction toward Cultural Heritage Utilization - Focused on The Daming Palace and The Terra Cotta Warriors in China -)

  • 본 연구는 중국 문화유산관광지 대명궁과 병마용을 방문한 중국관광객들을 대상으로 관광동기를 분석하였고 동기에 따른 시장세분화를 연구하였다. 그리고 대명궁과 병마용의 문화재활용 만족도 차이를 조사하였다. 관광동기 요인분석에 대한 측정변수로 사용된 14개의 문항에 대하여 요인분석 검증과 '체험성, 문화매료성, 여가신기성, 사교성' 등 총 4개 요인을 추출하였다. 그 도출된 4개의 방문동기요인은 군집분석을 실시하여 결국 2개의 군집(문화체험동기집단, 여가사교동기집단)을 지정하였다. 분석결과에 따라 문화유산관광객은 관광지에 대한 문화체험성을 더 선호하는 것을 알 수 있었다. 따라서 문화유산관광지 문화체험성에 대해 투입한 노력이 필요하다. 대명궁과 병마용의 문화재활용 만족도 차이를 검정하기 위하여 22개의 측정항목에 대해 T-test분석을 실시하였다. 분석결과를 통해 문화재의 보존, 복원상태, 사실성, 유형문화유산 가치, 문화재에 관련 체험프로그램, 해설서비스, 안내문, 휴게시설, 기념품의 상징성, 입장료, 주변 식당과 숙박시설은 문화재활용의 만족도에 미치는 영향요인이 될 수 있음을 알 수 있었다. 문화유산관광지의 관리자들이 문화재를 잘 보존하고 편의시설과 직원들의 전문성을 높이고, 방문객들이 문화재를 더 쉽게 이해할 수 있도록 해설에 더욱 중점을 두어 방문경험에서 교육적인 효과를 얻었다고 느낄 수 있도록 만들 때 문화재활용의 만족도를 더욱 높일 것이다.

방문구강보건사업 대상 노인의 현존 자연치아 수에 영향을 미치는 요인 (Factors influencing the number of remaining natural teeth in elderly people visiting dental care services)

  • Objectives : The purpose of this study was to investigate the number of remaining natural teeth in elderly people visiting dental care services and the factors affecting dental visit. This study will contribute the development of oral health promotion programs for the elderly people. Methods : Subjects were 172 elderly people recruited from 217 senior citizens visiting public oral health care services in 16 districts in Busan. They completed self-Corresponding Author reported questionnaires. Results : Elderly people had less remaining natural teeth (p<0.001). The remaining natural teeth ($15.07{\pm}8.75$) of the health insurance beneficiary were majority than those of the medicaid ($8.78{\pm}8.45$)(p<0.001). The respondents with better oral health condition had more remaining natural teeth (r=0.317, p<0.001), and those who were more worried about oral health had less remaining natural teeth (r=-0.599, p<0.001). Aging accelerates loss of natural teeth (p<0.001) of 3.203. Approximately 2.188 remaining teeth will be preserved by oral health care improvement (p=0.009). Conclusions : Frequent dental clinic visit will prevent natural teeth loss in the elderly people. Toothbrushing is the most efficient method of oral health care in the elderly people. Awareness towards oral health care is the motivation to preserve natural teeth in the elderly people.

근린공원 시설유형에 따른 이용실태 및 만족도에 관한 연구 (A Study on Status of Use of Community Park and Level of Satisfaction Based on Types of Its Facilities)

  • In this study this author made research and analysis on physical status and characteristics of community parks in Ik-san provinces and also depending on its potential resources such parks were classified into constructed parks and unconstructed parks and status of use of such parks and level of satisfaction were studied. Through this paper this author strived to provide basic data required for forming green track of land for the parks. Required time for visiting community parks either constructed or unconstructed type was within 40 minutes or less. However constructed parks appeared to be more convenient for access in comparison with natural unconstructed parks. Mostly they were used by residents in neighboring community and also residents in the area around it were found as using it frequently. At the time of using community parks either constructed or unconstructed types means of access were mostly by walking or by riding bicycles. Thus considering large number of users of such parks are from neighboring community it appeared that parks with its simplicity and convenience in terms of distance and with rich nature were preferred by users rather than large scale parks at distance. In terms of time frame of use and motivation of visit constructed parks were used mainly for exercise and relaxation in the morning at parks and its facilities whereas un constructed parks were mostly used in the afternoon for for walking and chatting and rest under with time to spare at shadows of its trees. Time spent at parks were composed mostly of rest and walking more frequently than exercise and leisure activity thus it was different from motivation for visiting parks. As for evaluation of use of parks natural elements, unique environment, trees and lawns featured highly in unconstructed parks in comparison with constructed parks. Thus it seemed visitors are more conscious of forest and landscape in a form of unchanged nature. Thus for community parks first consideration should be heightening accessibility in view of primary concern for convenience by users rather than facilities or environmental conditions.

중·고등학생의 구강건강신념이 구강건강관리행동에 미치는 영향: 건강신념모형을 적용하여 (The impact of health belief model in the middle and high school students on oral health behaviors)

  • Objectives: The aim of the study is to investigate the health belief model affecting the oral health behavior in middle and high school students. Methods: The subjects were 296 middle and high school students in Seoul, Gyeonggi and Incheon from February 15 to March 21, 2014. The students filled out the self-reported questionnaires after receiving informed consents. The instrument was adopted and revised from those of Kim & Hwang, and Choi & Joo. The questionnaire consisted of 4 questions of general characteristics, 9 questions of oral health status including subjective oral health status, frequency of tooth brushing, duration of tooth brushing, method of tooth brushing, use of oral health devices, dental clinic visit, scaling services, snack intake, and smoking. The oral health belief consisted of 25 questions including susceptibility, seriousness, barriers, benefit, and self-efficacy using Likert 5 scale. The reliability of Cronbach's alpha in the study was 0.725. Data were analyzed using SPSS ver 18.0 for frequency analysis, t-test, ANOVA, ${\chi}^2$-test, and Pearson's correlation coefficient, simple regression, and binary logistic regression. Results: Oral health beliefs of middle and high school students affected the oral health behaviors. Susceptibility, barriers and self-efficacy also influenced on the oral health behaviors. In order to provide the best oral health education, susceptibility and self-efficacy are the primary factors to increase motivation because the motivation endows the students with correction of oral health behaviors that improve the knowledge, attitudes, and decrease barriers in oral hygiene. Conclusions: It is important to correct oral health behaviors in the middle and high school students by providing the continuing and systematic oral health education.

점복자를 찾아가는 여성들의 경험에 관한 연구 -20~30대 여성을 중심으로- (Study on the Experiences of Women Who Visit a Fortune Teller -focused on women in their twenties and thirties-)

  • 본 연구에서는 20~30대의 젊은 여성들이 점복자를 찾아가는 심리적 동기와 점복 경험을 통해 얻는 심리적 이득을 알아봄으로써 상담에 보완할 문화적 요인을 찾고, 상담에의 접근을 방해하는 요인을 함께 알아봄으로써 한국인들에게 보다 적합하고 편안한 상담의 형태를 제시하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 합의적 질적연구(Consensual Qualitative Research: CQR)방법을 사용하여 참여자들의 인터뷰 자료를 분석하였다. 분석결과, 참여자들은 심리적 지지를 받고 싶은 내적 동기를 가지고 점복자를 찾아가고, 그러한 심리적 요구를 점복을 통해 채우면서 상담에서 얻을 수 있는 심리치료적 효과를 경험하며, 문제해결의 대안을 얻고 있었다. 한국 내담자들의 즉각적인 문제해결과 방향제시에 대한 욕구를 채워주기 위해 좀 더 지시적이고 적극적인 개입을 해줄 필요가 있고, 운명의 수용을 통해 내담자가 겪는 고통에 대해 억울한 마음에서 벗어나 극복의 의지를 갖도록 도와줄 수 있을 것이다. 분명한 심리적 요구가 있음에도 불구하고 그것이 전문적인 상담서비스로 이어지지 않는 주된 이유는 상담이 아직은 우리 사회에서 보편화되어 있지 않아 정보를 찾기 쉽지 않고, 여전히 상담에 대한 인식이 부족하다는 것을 알 수 있었다.

무창포 주꾸미·도다리 축제 관광객의 소비지출 결정요인 (Determinant of Tourist Expenditures for Muchangpo Webfoot Octopus and Finespotted Flounder Festival)

  • This study is to investigate the determinants of consumption expenditure by considering potential expenditure factors such as socioeconomic, fishing village tourism behavior, motivation for visits, and optional attributes of tourists at Muchangpo webfoot octopus and finespotted flounder festival in Boryeong. The analysis data are 300 questionnaires of visitors to the festival during the 2018 Muchangpo Mysterious Sea Road Webfoot Octopus and Finespotted Flounder Festival from March 17 to April 8, 2018. As a result of analyzing the factors of consumption expenditure of tourists to the festival in Boryeong, socioeconomic factors such as gender and residential groups outside Chungcheong-do have a positive (+) effect on consumption expenditure. Among the factors of fishing village tourism behavior, the only number of days of stay more than one night has a positive (+) effect on consumption expenditure. In addition, in the analysis of factors for motivation to visit the festival, fun/interest and simple rest/leisure have a significant positive (+) effect on expenditure whereas stress relief have a negative (-) effect on expenditure. In the analysis of the factors of festival selection attributes, tourism facilities has a significant positive (+) effect on expenditure, but natural scenery and excellent natural scenery show a significant negative (-) effect on expenditure. The main implications that can be obtained from the results of this study are as follows. First, it suggests that the promotion should be actively conducted outside of Chungcheong Province in order to achieve the original purpose of revitalizing the local economy from the Muchangpo webfoot octopus and finespotted flounder festival. Second, it indicates that there should be a variety of unique high-quality festival programs differentiated from other local festivals, promoting the existence of simple rest/leisure facilities rather than webfoot octopus boat fishing experiences or natural scenery (i.e., mysterious road and sunset) in order to attract festival tourists' spending at the Muchangpo webfoot octopus and finespotted flounder festival.

대학병원 외래환자의 일반적 특성과 만족도 - 서울시내 5개 대학병원을 대상으로 - (General Characteristics and Satisfaction of Out-patients of University Hospitals in Seoul, Korea)

  • Purpose : the management of University Hospital is being challenged in maintenance of reasonable level of income and high ranked reputation by domestic competition with each other and emergence of enterprised owned hospitals. It is imperative that University Hospitals have to make management for patient satisfaction. Furthermore, increased patient's requirement for qualified hospital services (quality assurance) and low-estimated service fee also repress the hospital management condition as well as medical markets open following with Urguay Connection. Due to these unforable conditions surrounding hospital management, -University Hospitals are being pressed to seek improved management strategies. To develope the strategies, we need to have basic understanding about the problems on hospital management and detail information for various patient's requirement. Methods: For this study, we have analysed out-patients from five different University Hospitals located in Seoul, Korea. To obtain the data, we have carried out personal interviews with patients who patients who visit the Out-Patient Clinics of five different University Hospitals using a previously prepared questionnaire. Result: Around 65.7 percent of the visits to University Hospitals were indwelt in the vicinity of 1 hour and motuvation of visiting University Hospital was expending high wuality medical csre in 49.3 percent. The 79.3 percent of the patients have experienced inconvenience during medical care in University Hospital. The most inconvenient condition was waiting for doctors. The 57.2 percent of total patient have experienced rudness. The most rudness condition was registration and receipt desk in 44.4 percent. Patient expect that doctors working in University Hospitals as professors have high and updated medical knowledge(50.4%) and University Hospitals have a high quality medical care system(79.4%). The patient satisfaction was relatively low in 61.1 percent of total patient and revealed high frequency of again visit University Hospital in satisfaction group. Comparison of interhospital analytical study showed quite difference on various problems. Conclusion: Almost patients who visit to Out-Patient Clinic of University Hospital havevisiting motivation to high quality medical care. University Hospitals have several different unsatisfactorial factors and revealed different degree of patient satisfaction. In a future day, University Hospitals have to make use of another University Hospital's merits for approach of Benchmarking and also should be studied decision factors of patient satisfaction and interhospital difference of them.
