In the paper, by virtue of the $Fa{\grave{a}}$ di Bruno formula, properties of the Bell polynomials of the second kind, and the Lah inversion formula, the author simplifies coefficients in a family of ordinary differential equations related to the generating function of the Mittag-Leffler polynomials.

A long-time behavior of global solutions for a dispersive-dissipative equation with time-dependent damping terms is investigated under null Dirichlet boundary condition. By virtue of an appropriate new Lyapunov function and the Lojasiewicz-Simon inequality, we show that any global bounded solution converges to a steady state and get the rate of convergence as well, when damping coefficients are integrally positive and positive-negative, respectively. Moreover, under the assumptions on on-off or sign-changing damping, we derive an asymptotic stability of solutions.

In this paper, we are concerned with the problem of locating the zeros of regular polynomials of a quaternionic variable with quaternionic coefficients. We derive new bounds of Eneström-Kakeya type for the zeros of these polynomials by virtue of a maximum modulus theorem and the structure of the zero sets in the newly developed theory of regular functions and polynomials of a quaternionic variable. Our results generalize some recently proved results about the distribution of zeros of a quaternionic polynomial.

Considering the human visual masking property, a modified relationship between the activity function and the visibility threshold is developed. This leads to a novel objective appraisal method for blocking effects in a lossy subimage coding by virtue of the human visual sensitivity. The appraisal criterion is examined using a series of reconstructed images that are DCT-coded at various bit rates. Experimental results show that the presented blocking effect measure well agrees with the subjective ranking.

한국영화의 시장 활성화라는 관점으로 볼 때 영화의 상업적 성공은 매우 중요한 덕목이라 할 수 있다. 이러한 영화의 상업성은 영화의 제작 단계에 앞서 기획 개발 단계에서 결정되어지기 마련이다. 영화 제작의 근간이 되는 아이디어와 시나리오가 상업적 미덕을 갖추기 위해선 이 단계에 상업적 검증이 개입되어야 하며 이는 많은 텍스트들과 문화 전반의 트렌드에 대한 이해가 바탕이 되어야 한다. 한국영화의 질적 성장과 산업적 측면을 체계적으로 발전시키기 위해서 기획 개발 단계에 대한 개선 노력과 대안이 필요한 시점이다. 기획 개발 단계에 대한 효율적인 대안은 한국영화의 상업적 성공은 물론 창의성과 예술성이라는 영역까지 그 의미를 확장하는 중요한 결과를 낳을 것이기 때문이다.

전자해도는 연안과 바다에 대한 다양한 정보가 저장되어 있는 디지털 지도이다. 이러한 전자해도에는 일반인들도 관심과 흥미를 가질 수 있는 많은 정보가 포함되어 있지만, 특수한 데이터 포맷과 전용의 표시시스템을 사용하기 때문에 일반인들이 접근하기에는 많은 어려움이 있다. 이러한 어려움을 극복하기 위해서는 누구나 손쉽게 전자해도를 활용할 수 있는 시스템을 개발해야 한다. 이를 위하여, 본 논문에서는 웹 기반의 전자해도 시스템에 적합한 프레임워크를 제안한다. 이 프레임워크에서는, 우선 S-57 포맷으로 코딩되어 있는 전자해도를GML로 변환하여 데이터베이스에 저장한다. 이 데이터베이스에 대하여 사용자가 자신이 원하는 정보를 요청하게 된다. 이러한 사용자의 요청에 부합하는 정보를 검색한 후, SVG 포맷의 그래픽으로 변환하여 웹에 디스플레이하게 된다. 이러한 프레임워크는 기본적으로 웹에 기반하고 있기 때문에 일반인들도 손쉽게 전자해도를 활용할 수 있다. 뿐만 아니라, 범용표준인 XML에 기반한 GML과 SVG를 사용하기 때문에 다른 시스템과의 호환성이 우수하고, 데이터베이스에 의한 효율성도 증대된다. 이러한 프레임워크의 효용성을 검증하기 위하여 프로토타입 시스템을 구현하고 시험하였다.

In this paper, 274 traditional fairy tales of South and North Korea were selected for research. The research was performed using a content analysis chart, and found differences in the number of characters, how ideology and social setting affect categorization of the characters, and what values are represented in the fairy tails of each country. Analysis of the general characteristics of traditional fairy tales of South and North Korea shows that South Korean traditional fairy tales have more cases where $1{\sim}4$ characters appear. In North Korean fairy tales, 5 or more characters generally appear. Analysis of the categories of characters in traditional fairy tales of South and North Korea found that characters fall into categories of family, friend and tutor, village, and the native country more often in South Korean fairy tales than in North Korean fairy tales. Character categorizations of county and foreign countries are found more often in North Korean fairy tales. In particular, the difference in character categorization of family, friend and tutor, and county shows that different ideology and social setting affected categories of characters. Research on traditional fairy tales of South and North Korea shows that traditional fairy tales of South Korea have chosen self-respect, self-restraint, fidelity(responsibility), understanding others, manners and honesty as themes more often than those of North Korea and subjects such as frugality, sharing, order and rules, cooperation and patriotism(ecosystem protection) we found more often in those of North Korea.

This paper provides a semi-analytical approach to investigate the variations of 3D displacement components, electric potential, stresses, electric displacements and transverse vibration frequencies in laminated piezoelectric composite plates based on the scaled boundary finite element method (SBFEM) and the precise integration algorithm (PIA). The proposed approach can analyze the static and dynamic responses of multilayered piezoelectric plates with any number of laminae, various geometrical shapes, boundary conditions, thickness-to-length ratios and stacking sequences. Only a longitudinal surface of the plate is discretized into 2D elements, which helps to improve the computational efficiency. Comparing with plate theories and other numerical methods, only three displacement components and the electric potential are set as the basic unknown variables and can be represented analytically through the transverse direction. The whole derivation is built upon the three dimensional key equations of elasticity for the piezoelectric materials and no assumptions on the plate kinematics have been taken. By virtue of the equilibrium equations, the constitutive relations and the introduced set of scaled boundary coordinates, three-dimensional governing partial differential equations are converted into the second order ordinary differential matrix equation. Furthermore, aided by the introduced internal nodal force, a first order ordinary differential equation is obtained with its general solution in the form of a matrix exponent. To further improve the accuracy of the matrix exponent in the SBFEM, the PIA is employed to make sure any desired accuracy of the mechanical and electric variables. By virtue of the kinetic energy technique, the global mass matrix of the composite plates constituted by piezoelectric laminae is constructed for the first time based on the SBFEM. Finally, comparisons with the exact solutions and available results are made to confirm the accuracy and effectiveness of the developed methodology. What's more, the effect of boundary conditions, thickness-to-length ratios and stacking sequences of laminae on the distributions of natural frequencies, mechanical and electric fields in laminated piezoelectric composite plates is evaluated.

이 논문은 콰인의 존재론적 개입 기준이 유명론자에게 야기하는 문제에 관한 것이다. "존재한다는 것은 변항의 값이 된다는 것이다"는 것이 콰인의 분명한 존재론적 개입 기준이다. 이 기준에 의하면, 우리가 어떤 문장을 참이라고 여길 경우, 그 문장이 참이 되기 위해서 존재해야 하는 것들의 존재에 우리가 개입하게 된다. 그런데 이 기준은 유명론자에게 문제를 야기한다. "겸손은 미덕이다"라는 것을 참이라고 받아들이고 싶은 유명론자는, 겸손이라는 속성의 존재를 받아들여야 한다는 것이다. 그러나 유명론자는 "겸손은 미덕이다"라는 말이 의미하는 것은 받아들이고 싶지만, 겸손과 같은 속성의 존재를 받아들이고 싶어하지 않는다. 결국 유명론자는, 상식을 부정하든지, 속성의 존재를 받아들이든지 선택해야 하는 딜레마에 처해있는 것이다. 이러한 난국을 빠져나갈 수 있는 방법은, 속성에 대한 존재론적 개입을 피하면서도 원래 문장과 같은 뜻을 가지는 패러프레이즈를 제시하는 것이다. 그러나, 올바른 패러프레이즈를 제시하는 것은 항상 어려운 일이었다. 이와 같은 문장들에 대해서 패러프레이즈를 제시하려는 노력이 있었지만, 여러 어려움 때문에 모두 실패하고 말았다. 이 논문에서는, 기존의 문제점들을 모두 극복하는 성공적인 패러프레이즈가 제시될 것이다. 하지만 그전에 콰인의 기준에 관한 몇몇 주제들이 더 명확히 정리될 필요가 있다. 패러프레이즈가 아예 필요하지 않다는 루이스의 비판 역시 또한 다뤄질 것이다.
