Vibrational characteristics of coupled beam & plate system are considered on simple system, which consists of plates(2-subsystem) and beams(4-subsystem), using experimental statistical energy analysis(ESEA). First, damping and coupling loss factors of the system are determined by power injection method (PIM). Then, energy distribution of all the subsystem is estimated from the power balance equation. Finally, these quantities are compared with measured energy. The correlation of measured and estimated results for the sample problem is reasonably good.

The vibration and nosic of gears is causeed by manufacting error, alignment error in assembly, and thr meshing stiffness of gears which changes periodically as the meshing of teeth process. On a pair of power transmission helical gears with profile error, the relation between the characteristics of gear vibration and the profile error type have been investigated by simulating the vibrational acceleration level and calculating the natural frequency. The results show that the profile error decrease the natural frequency by reducing the tool stiffness and that the concave error type increase the vibrationsl level. And this paper describes the effect of the tip relief on the vibrational acceleration level which a pair of helical gears with concave error generates.
According to a generalized nonlocal strain gradient theory (NSGT), dynamic modeling and free vibrational analysis of nanoporous inhomogeneous nanoplates is presented. The present model incorporates two scale coefficients to examine vibration behavior of nanoplates much accurately. Porosity-dependent material properties of the nanoplate are defined via a modified power-law function. The nanoplate is resting on a viscoelastic substrate and is subjected to hygro-thermal environment and in-plane linearly varying mechanical loads. The governing equations and related classical and non-classical boundary conditions are derived based on Hamilton's principle. These equations are solved for hinged nanoplates via Galerkin's method. Obtained results show the importance of hygro-thermal loading, viscoelastic medium, in-plane bending load, gradient index, nonlocal parameter, strain gradient parameter and porosities on vibrational characteristics of size-dependent FG nanoplates.

This paper describes a full-wave rectifiers for energy harvesting circuit using a vibrational energy. The designed circuit is applied to the negative voltage converter with the body-bias technique using the Beta-multiplier so that the power efficiency is excellent even at the low voltage, and the comparator is designed as the bulk-driven type. The proposed circuit is designed with $0.35{\mu}m$ CMOS process, and The designed chip occupies $931{\mu}m{\times}785{\mu}m$.
This study presents the free vibrational responses of bi-directional axially graded cylindrical shell panels using 3D graded finite element approximation under a temperature field. The cylindrical shell panel is graded in two directions and made of metal-ceramic materials. To extract material properties, the Voigt model is combined with a Power-law material distribution. Convergence and validation studies are performed on the developed computational model to ensure its accuracy and effectiveness. Furthermore, a parametric study is performed to evaluate the developed model, which demonstrates that geometrical parameters, imperfect materials (porosity), support conditions, and surface temperature all have a significant impact on the free vibration responses of a bi-directional axially graded cylindrical shell panel in a thermal environment.

This paper presents a MPPT(Maximum Power Point Tracking) control CMOS interface circuit for vibration energy harvesting. The proposed circuit consists of an AC-DC converter, MPPT Controller, DC-DC boost converter and PMU(Power Management Unit). The AC-DC converter rectifies the AC signals from vibration devices(PZT). MPPT controller is employed to harvest the maximum power from the PZT and increase efficiency of overall system. The DC-DC boost converter generates a boosted and regulated output at a predefined level and provides energy to load using PMU. A full-wave rectifier using active diodes is used as the AC-DC converter for high efficiency, and a schottky diode type DC-DC boost converter is used for a simple control circuitry. The proposed circuit has been designed in a 0.35um CMOS process. The chip area is $950um{\times}920um$.

In this paper, the power flow analysis(PFA) method was developed to predict the vibrational responses of coupled co-planar orthotropic plates in frequencies ranging from medium to high. To cover the power transmission and reflection at the joint of the orthotropic plates, the wave transmission approach is applied with the assumption that all the incident waves are normal to the joint. Through numerical analyses, the power flow energy density and intensity fields of coupled co-planar orthotropic plates were compared with those of classical modal solutions by changing the frequency and internal loss factor, and they show good agreement in terms of the global decay and the attenuation patterns of the energy density.

Vibration experiments have been performed to observe the analytic characteristics of power How finite element method(PFFEM) for the reinforced cylindrical structure. For this, the vibration experimental results are compared with the numerical solutions obtained by PFFEM in medium-to-high frequency ranges. Input Power into the experimental structure is measured using the impedance head adhered to the exciter, and that input power is used for the vibration analysis. Using the developed PFFEM program(PFADS), the reinforced cylindrical structure modeled by beam and plate elements is analyzed, and very reliable results for PFFEM are obtained by the comparisons of the experimental results.
