  • Manufacturing condition is one of the most important factors in precision manufacturing. In this study, we optimized minimizing the Z vibration acceleration using RSM(response surface methodology) by table of orthogonal array. RSM was well adapted to make the analytical model of the minimum vibration acceleration and enable the objective function to be easily created and a great deal of the time in computation to be saved. Therefore, it is expected that the proposed optimization procedure using RSM can be easily utilized to solve the optimization problem of manufacture condition.

  • The NDIF method(non-dimensional dynamic influence function method) for free vibration analysis of arbitrarily shaped plates with the simply supported edge is newly developed in the paper. In order to extract the system matrix that gives the natural frequencies and natural modes of the plate of interest, the difficulty of measuring higher differential terms involved in the simply supported boundary condition is successfully overcome. Finally, the excellence of the characteristics of convergence and accuracy of the proposed method is shown through two verification examples, which indicate that natural frequencies and natural modes obtained by the proposed method are very accurate and swiftly converged even though a small number of nodes are used compared with FEM.

  • In milling, cutting tool ins directly attached to spindle and this tells that spindle can provide very useful information on the cutting tool condition such as wear or breakage. Since spindle is rotating at a high speed, measuring spindle velocity using a noncontacting measurement system gives the best information which can be obtained. Due to the force applied to spindle through cutting tool, velocity of spindle changes. And any change in cutting tool condition affects cutting force and consequently spindle vibration. With the intent of continuously monitoring cutting tool condition in intermittent machining operations in a benign manner, a noncontacting velocity measurement system using a laser Doppler velocimeter was assembled to measure spindle torsional vibration. Spindle vibration was measured and analysis of it in the frequency domain yielded a measure which corresponded to amount of cutting tool wear in milling.

  • In this study, examined heavy-weight floor impact sound to structure that have slab thickness of 4 form at a standard laboratory through noise and vibration measured. The results show that the nature Natural frequency increased according to change of thickness of each slab by finite element analysis, and acceleration value decreased. Results of measurements of noise and vibration at a standard laboratory, the slab 210, 240mm structures was construed result such as finite element analysis but the slab 150, 180mm structures is construed that influence in vibration acceleration level because edge condition has condition that contact to ground. Therefore, in modelling process for analysis, is thought that need that condition analyzes examining element influencing about structure that contact to ground.

  • Free vibration analysis using the method of NDIF (non-dimensional dynamic influence function), which was developed by the author, is extended to arbitrarily shaped polygonal plates with free edges. Local Cartesian coordinate systems are employed to apply the free boundary condition to nodes distributed along the edges of the plate of interest. Furthermore, a new way for applying the free boundary condition to nodes located at corners of the plate is for the first time introduced by considering the phenomenon of stress concentration at the corners. Two case studies show that the proposed method is valid and accurate when the eigenvalues by the proposed method are compared to those by FEM(ANSYS).

  • This paper deals with the free vibrations of arches with general boundary condition. Based on the dynamic equilibrium equations of a arch element acting the stress resultants and the inertia forces, the governing differential equation is derived for the in-plane free vibration of such arches. Differential equations are solved numerically to calculate natural frequencies. In numerical examples, the parabolic arch is considered. The effects of the arch rise to span length ratio, the slenderness ratio, the vertical spring coefficient and the rotational spring coefficient on the natural frequencies are analyzed.

  • A light railway operationis an effective means to solve a traffic problem of the city however, noise and vibration is pollution happened. This paper studied noise and vibration pollution of a light railway operation in order to let a decrease. The study range was only track condition and civil engineering structure condition. The way how we decrease noise and vibration in a protection vibration track, ballasted track, non-ballasted track, floating track trends was devoted is long rail laying, low vibration track lying. It was the most economic that the examination results track section a complement, and it was proved that a certain way.

  • NVH issue at idle condition is one of the major concerns of Passenger and Commercial Vehicle including Sports Utility Vehicle Especially steering wheel vibration at idle condition is a very complex problem and affected by firing frequency of the engine, stiffness of a steering wheel system and the body to which the steering wheel system is attached. To avoid vibration mode coupling between each system of a vehicle, experimental and analytical method has been used at the pre-prototype stage. The resonance frequency of the body and the frame has been decoupled by CAE and the resonance frequency of steering wheel system has been set in between the 1st bending frequency of body and frame. These Results has been used as design guidelines tot the prototype drawing stage. The experimental verification of tile modified pre-prototype vehicle shows good results of the vibration mode decouple. Modal test of prototype vehicle also confirms the vibration mode decouple between each system.

  • Vibration profiles consist of two kinds of pattern, random and harmonic, at general engineering problems and the detailed vibration test mode of a target system is decided by the spectral condition that is exposed under operation. In moving mobility, random responses come generally from road source; whereas the harmonic responses are triggered from rotating machinery parts, such as combustion engine or drive shaft. Different spectral input may accumulate different damage in frequency domain since the accumulated fatigue damage dependent on the pattern of input spectrum in high cyclic loading condition. To evaluate the sensitivity of spectral damage according to different loading conditions, a linear elastic system is introduced to conduct a uniaxial vibration testing. Measured data, acceleration and strain, is analyzed using energy isocline function and then, the calculated fatigue damage is compared by different loading cases, random and harmonic.
