강도한계 이선형 단자유도 시스템의 비탄성 변위비 (Inelastic Displacement Ratio for Strength-limited Bilinear SDF Systems)

  • 본 연구는 철골 모멘트 골조의 이력거동을 잘 나타내는 강도한계 이선형 단자유도 시스템에 대하여 지반조건, 후탄성 기울기, 감쇠비, 항복강도 저감계수, 고유주기 등의 변화가 비탄성변위비에 미치는 영향을 분석하였다. NEHRP의 기준에 따라 B(보통암지반), C(매우 조밀한 토사지반), D(단단한 토사지반)의 지반조건에 해당하는 총 240개의 지진 가속도에 대하여 비선형 시간이력 해석을 수행하였다. 본 연구에서는 비탄성 거동 하에서 P-$\Delta$ 효과를 반영할 수 있도록 음강성비를 -0.1 에서 -0.5까지 고려하였다. 비선형 회귀분석을 통하여 감쇠비 2%, 5%, 10%, 20%에 대한 강도한계 이선형 모델의 비탄성 변위비와 로그표준편차식을 제안하였다.

  • 원추형 복합재 튜브는 우주 항공, 비행체, 잠수함 등 큰 구조물뿐만 아니라 자전거 프레임, 낚시대, 골프채 등 레저용품에도 적용이 되면서 정적-동적 거동에서의 기계적 물성 예측의 중요한 연구 분야로 대두되고 있다. 일반적으로 원추형 복합재 튜브의 기계적 물성 예측은 진동, 굽힘, 좌굴에 관하여 많은 연구가 진행되었지만, 복합재료의 섬유 배향 각이 일정하다고 가정하고 기계적 거동을 분석한 것이 대부분이기 때문에 섬유 배향 각이 원추형 복합재 튜브 구조물의 기계적 물성에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지에 대한 연구가 필요하다. 이에 본 연구에서는 섬유 배향 각을 고려한 원추형 복합재료 튜브의 정적 거동에 따른 기계적 물성을 예측하기 위해 수식을 도출하고, 자전거 프레임에 적용하기 위한 다양한 설계 파라메터의 영향을 고찰하였다.

  • 본 논문은 길이 방향에 따라 단면적이 감소하는 경로와 증가하는 경로 2개가 존재할 경우 길이 방향에 따른 단면적 변화율과 경로의 길이에 의하여 특정 주파수에서 음파의 위상이 반대되는 현상이 발생하여 전달 경로 하단에서 해당 주파수의 소음이 상쇄되는 현상을 규명하였다. 단면적 변화를 고려한 1차 파동 방정식을 적용하여 매우 간단한 해석적인 해를 구하였으며, 원형 덕트 내의 속이 빈 콘 형상의 단면적 변화를 적용하여 실험적으로 검증하였다. 질량 효과에 의하여 필터링 주파수는 1, 2차 모드에서는 이론보다 더 낮은 주파수에서 결정되나, 3차 이상 고차 모드에서는 이론식으로 그 해당 주파수를 예측할 수 있다. 본 연구의 결과는 좁은 공간에서 덕트의 특정 소음의 주파수를 제거하여 음질을 개선할 필요가 있는 경우 이를 덕트 내부에 적용하는 콤팩트한 필터로 적용할 수 있다.

온간압입공정에서 자동차 변속기 단품(축/기어) 치형 변화 예측에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Prediction of Teeth Deformation of the Automobile Transmission Part(Shaft/Gear) in Warm Shrink Fitting Process)

  • Fitting process carried out in automobile transmission assembly line is classified into three classes; heat fitting, press fitting, and their combined fitting. Heat fitting is a method that heats gear to a suitable range under the tempering temperature and squeezes it toward the outer diameter of shaft. Its stress depends on the yield strength of gear. Press fitting is a method that generally squeezes gear toward that of shaft at room temperature by press. Another method heats warmly gear and safely squeezes it toward that of shaft. Warm shrink fitting process for automobile transmission part is now gradually increased, but the parts (shaft/gear) assembled by this process produced dimensional changes of gear profile in both radial and circumferential directions. So that it may cause noise and vibration between gears. In order to solve these problems, we need an analysis of warm shrink fitting process, in which design parameters are involved; contact pressure according to fitting interference between outer diameter of shaft and inner diameter of gear, fitting temperature, and profile tolerance of gear. In this study, an closed form equation to predict contact pressure and fitting load was proposed in order to develop optimization technique of warm shrink fitting process and verified its reliability through the experimental results measured in the field and FEM, that is, thermal-structural coupled field analysis. Actual loads measured in the field have a good agreement with the results obtained by theoretical and finite element analysis and also the expanded amounts of the gear profile in both radial and circumferential directions are within the limit tolerances used in the field.

Mechanical analysis of cutout piezoelectric nonlocal nanobeam including surface energy effects

  • This manuscript tends to investigate influences of nanoscale and surface energy on a static bending and free vibration of piezoelectric perforated nanobeam structural element, for the first time. Nonlocal differential elasticity theory of Eringen is manipulated to depict the long-range atoms interactions, by imposing length scale parameter. Surface energy dominated in nanoscale structure, is included in the proposed model by using Gurtin-Murdoch model. The coupling effect between nonlocal elasticity and surface energy is included in the proposed model. Constitutive and governing equations of nonlocal-surface perforated Euler-Bernoulli nanobeam are derived by Hamilton's principle. The distribution of electric potential for the piezoelectric nanobeam model is assumed to vary as a combination of a cosine and linear variation, which satisfies the Maxwell's equation. The proposed model is solved numerically by using the finite-element method (FEM). The present model is validated by comparing the obtained results with previously published works. The detailed parametric study is presented to examine effects of the number of holes, perforation size, nonlocal parameter, surface energy, boundary conditions, and external electric voltage on the electro-mechanical behaviors of piezoelectric perforated nanobeams. It is found that the effect of surface stresses becomes more significant as the thickness decreases in the range of nanometers. The effect of number of holes becomes significant in the region 0.2 ≤ α ≤ 0.8. The current model can be used in design of perforated nano-electro-mechanical systems (PNEMS).

난류 유동장 내에 놓인 탄성을 갖는 박판의 방사소음에 대한 실험적 연구 (An Experimental Study of Radiated So from Elastic Thin Plate in a Turbulent Boundary Layer)

  • The structural modes driven by the low wave-number components of smooth elastic wall pressure provide a relatively weak coupling between the flow and the wall motion. If the elastic thin plate has any resonant mode whose wave-number of resonance coincides with $\omega$/U$\sub$c/, the power will be transmitted to those modes of vibration by the flows. We examine the problem in which the elastic thin plate is subject to pressure fluctuations under turbulent boundary layer. Measurements are presented of the frequency spectra of the near- and far-field pressures and radiated sound contributed by the various wave modes of the thin elastic plate. Dispersion equation for wave motions of elastic plate is used to investigate the effect of bending waves of relatively low wave number on radiated sound. The low wave-number motion of elastic plate is observed to have much less influence on the low-frequency energy of wall pressure fluctuations than that of the rediated sound. High amplitude events of the wall pressure are observed to weakly couple with high-frequency energy of radiated sound for case of low tension applied to the plate. The sound source localization is applied to the measurement of radiated sound by using acoustic mirror system.

  • 결량화 되고 고강도의재료를 요하는 자동차, 항공기, 선박, 각종 구조물 등 여러 분야에서 복합재료의 사용은 증가되어 왔고, 그에 따라 연구가 활발히 진행되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 Impulse Excitation Method을 통해 Transversely Isotropic한 재료의 공진 주파수를 측정함으로써 복합재료의 탄성계수를 구하였다. Timoshenko Beam Equation식에 나타나는 회전관성효과와 전단변형을 고려하였을 때와 고려하지 않았을 때 재료의 탄성계수에 변화가 어떻게 나타나는 가를 관찰하였다.

  • 일반적인 고무 부품의 해석적 피로 수명 예측은 다양한 피로시험 결과를 바탕으로 정의되는 피로 수명식이 사용된다. 그러나, 이와 같은 방식은 피로 시험에 사용되는 비용적, 시간적인 문제로 인해 설계과정에서 매우 제한적으로 사용된다. 더욱이, 고무재료의 비규격화 및 임의적인 특성변화가 피로시험 결과의 데이터베이스화를 어렵게 만든다. 본 논문에서는 찢김에너지를 이용한 또다른 피로수명 예측 방식을 제안하였다. 자동차용 방진고무들에 대한 동적, 정적 찢김시험 및 복잡한 형상을 갖는 고무 부품의 찢김에너지를 계산하기 위하여 가상 결함을 고려한 유한요소 정식화를 수행하였다. 제안된 방법을 사용하여, 자동차용 모터 마운트의 피로 수명을 예측해 보았고, 실제 수명과 예측된 수명을 비교하여 신뢰성을 검증해 보았다.

마찰을 고려한 포일저널베어링의 동특성해석: 회전불균형 응답 (The Dynamic Performance Analysis of Foil Journal Bearings Considering Coulomb Friction: Rotating Unbalance Response)

  • The dynamic performance of air foil bearings relies on a coupling between a thin air film and an elastic foil structure. A number of successful analytical techniques to predict dynamic performance have been developed. However, the evaluation of its dynamic characteristic is still not enough because of the mechanical complexity of the foil structure and strong nonlinear behavior of friction force. This work presents a nonlinear transient analysis method to predict dynamic performance of foil bearings. In this method, time dependent Reynolds equation is used to calculate pressure distribution and a finite element method is used to model the bump foil structure. The analysis is treated with a direct implicit integration technique that can handle nonlinear problems and the stick-slip algorithm is used to consider friction force. Using this method the response to the mass unbalance excitation is investigated for various design parameters and operating conditions. The results of analysis show that foil bearing is very effective on the restriction of vibration at the resonance frequency compared to the rigid surface bearings and the effectiveness depends on the operating conditions, static load and a amount of mass unbalance. In addition, there exist optimum values of friction coefficient, bump foil stiffness and number of circumferential slit with regards to minimizing dynamic response at the resonance frequency. These optimum values are system dependent.
