Purpose: Intracorporeal esophagojejunostomy during reduced-port gastrectomy for proximal gastric cancer is a technically challenging technique. No study has yet reported a robotic technique for anastomosis. Therefore, to address this gap, we describe our reduced-port technique and the short-term outcomes of intracorporeal esophagojejunostomy. Materials and Methods: We conducted a retrospective review of patients who underwent a totally robotic reduced-port total or proximal gastrectomy between August 2016 and March 2020. We used an infra-umbilical Single-Site® port with two additional ports on both sides of the abdomen. To transect the esophagus, a 45-mm endolinear stapler was inserted via the right abdominal port. The common channel of the esophagojejunostomy was created between the apertures in the esophagus and proximal jejunum using a 45-mm linear stapler. The entry hole was closed with a 45-mm linear stapler or robot-sewn continuous suture. All anastomoses were performed without the aid of an assistant or placement of stay sutures. Results: Among the 40 patients, there were no conversions to open, laparoscopic, or conventional 5-port robotic surgery. The median operation time and blood loss were 254 min and 50 mL, respectively. The median number of retrieved lymph nodes was 40.5. The median time to first flatus, soft diet intake, and length of hospital stay were 3, 5, and 7 days, respectively. Three (7.5%) major complications, including two anastomosis-related complications and a case of small bowel obstruction, were treated with an endoscopic procedure and re-operation, respectively. No mortality occurred during the study period. Conclusions: Intracorporeal esophagojejunostomy during reduced-port gastrectomy can be safely performed and is feasible with acceptable surgical outcomes.
An 8 month old leopard gecko (Eublepharis macularius) with a large nodule was referred to our hospital. During the physical examination, the nodule had an unclear boundary from the top of the left eye to the front of the left ear and prevented the opening of the left eye. A hard, cheese-like, yellow, pus-filled nodule was observed. A cytological examination of a pus swab sample revealed pyogranulomatous inflammation with rod-shaped bacteria. Ofloxacin was chosen as the empirical topical antimicrobial drug for treatment. The swab samples were inoculated in trypticase soy agar with 5% sheep blood and incubated at 37℃ for 24 h. Gram-negative bacteria were identified via Gram staining, and the Kirby-Bauer antimicrobial susceptible disk diffusion test against 24 antibiotics according to protocol M100-Ed32 of CLSI showed that the fluoroquinolone group (ciprofloxacin and enrofloxacin) was susceptible to the isolated bacteria. Molecular identification based on 16S ribosomal RNA gene sequencing confirmed that the isolated bacteria had a 99.85% nucleotide similarity with Serratia surfactantfaciens (GenBank accession no. CP014948). After 1 week, the boundaries of the nodule became clear; thus, the abscess was physically removed by expanding the hole formed above the eye for drainage, and flushing was repeated. After another 1 week, new tissue restoration without scarring was observed. This is a rare case report of the successful management of a subcutaneous abscess and scar-free healing in a lizard.
Steel anchor bolts are installed in concrete using a variety of methods. One of the most common methods of anchor bolt installation is using epoxy resin as an infill material injected into the drilled hole to act as a bonding material between the steel bolt and the surrounding concrete. Typical design standards assume uniform stress distribution along the length of the anchor bolt accompanied with single crack leading to pull-out failure. Experimental evidence has shown that the steel anchor bolts fail owing to the multiple failure patterns, hence these design assumptions are not realistic. In this regard, the presented research work details the analytical model that takes into consideration multiple micro cracks in the infill material induced via impact loading. The impact loading from the Schmidt hammer is used to evaluate the bond condition bond condition of anchor bolt and the epoxy material. The added advantage of the presented analytical model is that it is able to take into account the various type of end conditions of the anchor bolts such as bent or U-shaped anchors. Through sensitivity analysis the optimum stiffness and shear strength properties of the epoxy infill material is achieved, which have shown to achieve lower displacement coupled with reduced damage to the surrounding concrete. The accuracy of the presented model is confirmed by comparing the simulated deformational responses with the experimental evidence. From the comparison it was found that the model was successful in simulating the experimental results. The proposed model can be adopted by professionals interested in predicting and controlling the deformational response of anchor bolts.
It is less well known that the properties, especially the mass accretion rate, of accretion flow are affected by the angular momentum of accreting gas. Park (2009) found that the mass accretion rate \dot{m}, mass accretion rate in units of Bondi accretion rate, is inversely proportional to the angular momentum of gas λ, at the Bondi radius where gas sound speed is equal to the free-fall velocity and proportional to the viscosity parameter α, and also Narayan & Fabian (2011) found a similar relation, but the dependence of the mass accretion rate of the gas angular momentum is much weaker. In this work, we investigate the global solutions for the rotating Bondi flow, i.e., polytropic flow accreting via viscosity, for various accretion parameters and the dependence of the mass accretion rate on the physical characteristics of gas. We set the outer boundary at various radius r_{out}=10^3~10^5 r_{Sch}, where r_{Sch} is the Schwarzschild radius of the black hole. For a small Bondi radius, the mass accretion rate changes steeply, as the angular momentum changes, and for a large Bondi radius, the mass accretion rate changes gradually. When the accreting gas has a near or super Keplerian rotation, we confirm that the relation between the mass accretion rate and angular momentum is roughly independent of Bondi radius as shown in Park (2009). We find that \dot{m} is determined by the gas angular momentum at the Bondi radius in units of r_{Sch}c. We also investigate the solution for the rotating Bondi flow with the outflow. The outflow affects the determination of the mass accretion rate at the outer boundary. We find that the relation between the mass accretion and the gas angular momentum becomes shallower as the outflow strengthens.
Unlike the roll-to-roll process that uses a steel roll and a nip roll, a vacuum roll can hold and transfer a thin film using a single roll. To precisely manufacture a vacuum roll, a thin outer cylinder must be machined, which is assembled on the outside of the roll and contacts the film via vacuum pressure. In this study, the effects of jaw width and chucking force on the deformation of the outer cylinder during the turning process were investigated using analysis, and a precision machining and burr removal process was developed. The deformation of the outer cylinder decreased almost linearly with increasing jaw width and increased with higher chucking force and larger cylinder diameter. Additionally, the deflection due to the weight of the outer cylinder was approximately three times greater than that caused by film tension. For the machined outer cylinder, a burr removal experiment was conducted, and concentricity and cylindricity were measured. Using a device that removes burrs by rotating a wheel connected to the main shaft at high speed, it was found that burrs generated on the inner diameter could be removed very efficiently. On the vacuum side, the concentricity errors of the inner and outer diameters were 0.015 mm and 0.014 mm, respectively, and on the opposite side, they were 0.006 mm and 0.010 mm, respectively. Additionally, the measurement of Total Indicator Runout (TIR) according to the angle showed that the maximum cylindricity of the outer and inner diameters was 0.02 mm and 0.025 mm, respectively. Finally, through burr-height measurement at the hole boundary, it was found that the heights were within 0.05 mm.

Ultra wideband CPW batons are proposed in this paper. The proposed talons are consisted of ultra wideband multi-stage Wilkinson dividers and 'X'-shaped $180^{\circ}$ out-of-phase generator. Bottom-bridges and via-holes are used to connect CPW ground lines instead of the conventional air-bridges which require troublesome manual working in fabrication with HMIC(Hybrid Microwave Integrated Circuits) substrates. The proposed CPW batons have ultra wideband of 3 or $10(=F_{figh}/F_{low})$ theoretically, the wideband characteristics and S-parameters of the basis Wilkinson divider are directly converted to those of the proposed batons. The proposed batons are so compact and small compared to the conventional Wilkinson batons because no additional area for out-of-phase section is required. So the size of the proposed batons is exactly the same as that of the basis Wilkinson dividers. As examples, 3-stage and 7-stage wideband Wilkinson dividers are converted to the proposed batons. Their measured operating bandwidth are $1\sim3GHz$ and $0.8\sim5GHz$, respectively, with excellent matching, isolation and power division performances. The measured magnitude and phase balance errors are ${\pm}0.5dB\;and\;0.45\;dB,\;and\;{\pm}5^{\circ}\;and\;{\pm}10^{\circ}C$ over $1\sim3GHz\;and\;0.8\sim5GHz$, respectively.

We integrated and correlated datasets from surface and subsurface geophysics, drilling cores, and engineering geology to identify geological interfaces and characterize the joints and fracture zones within the rock mass. The regional geometry of a geologically weak zone was investigated via a fence projection of electrical resistivity data and a borehole image-processing system. Subsurface discontinuities and intensive fracture zones within the rock mass are delineated by cross-hole seismic tomography and analyses of dip directions in rose diagrams. The dynamic elastic modulus is studied in terms of the P-wave velocity and Poisson's ratio. Subsurface discontinuities, which are conventionally identified using the N value and from core samples, can now be identified from anomalous reflection coefficients (i.e., acoustic impedance contrast) calculated using a pair of well logs, comprising seismic velocity from suspension-PS logging and density from logging. Intensive fracture zones identified in the synthetic seismogram are matched to core loss zones in the drilling core data and to a high concentration of joints in the borehole imaging system. The upper boundaries of fracture zones are correlated to strongly negative amplitude in the synthetic trace, which is constructed by convolution of the optimal Ricker wavelet with a reflection coefficient. The standard deviations of dynamic elastic moduli are higher for fracture zones than for acompact rock mass, due to the wide range of velocities resulting from the large numbers of joints and fractures within the zone.

Objectives: Although nerve growth factor (NGF) could promote the functional regeneration of an injured peripheral nerve, it is very difficult for NGF to sustain the therapeutic dose in the defect due to its short half-life. In this study, we loaded the NGF-bound heparin-conjugated fibrin (HCF) gel in the NGF-delivering implants and analyzed the time-dependent release of NGF and its bioactivity to evaluate the clinical effectiveness. Materials and Methods: NGF solution was made of 1.0 mg of NGF and 1.0 mL of phosphate buffered saline (PBS). Experimental group A consisted of three implants, in which $0.25{\mu}L$ of NGF solution, $0.75{\mu}L$ of HCF, $1.0{\mu}L$ of fibrinogen and $2.0{\mu}L$ of thrombin was injected via apex hole with micropipette and gelated, were put into the centrifuge tube. Three implants of experimental group B were prepared with the mixture of $0.5{\mu}L$ of NGF solution, $0.5{\mu}L$ HCF, $1.0{\mu}L$ of fibrinogen and $2.0{\mu}L$ of thrombin. These six centrifuge tubes were filled with 1.0 mL of PBS and stirred in the water-filled beaker at 50 rpm. At 1, 3, 5, 7, 10, and 14 days, 1.0 mL of solution in each tubes was collected and preserved at $-20^{\circ}C$ with adding same amount of fresh PBS. Enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) was done to determine in vitro release profile of NGF and its bioactivity was evaluated with neural differentiation of pheochromocytoma (PC12) cells. Results: The average concentration of released NGF in the group A and B increased for the first 5 days and then gradually decreased. Almost all of NGF was released during 10 days. Released NGF from two groups could promote neural differentiation and neurite outgrowth of PC12 cells and these bioactivity was maintained over 14 days. Conclusion: Controlled release system using NGF-HCF gel via NGF-delivering implant could be an another vehicle of delivering NGF to promote the nerve regeneration of dental implant related nerve damage.

In this paper, the design and imprlementation of dual-band power amplifier which is used as a critical part for mobile phone to be simultaneously working at a dual band, 800MHz CDAM and PCS frequency band is described. DC operating point of power FET is limited to Class-B to enable long talk time considering that the tyupical power range of CDMA phones in working is around 10 to Class-B to enable long talk time considering that the typical power range of CDMA phones in working is around 10 to 15dBm, i.e., liner range. The power amplifier which employs two GaAs FETs with good linerity at a low operating point has duplexer cuplexer circuit to separate two frequency bands at input and output stage. Electromagnetic analysis for via holes and coupling between narrow transmission lines is included to design a circuit. Moduld size of 0.96CC($22{\times}14.5{\times}3mm^3$) and maximum module current of 130mA at output power range, 10 to 15dBm are attained. The power amplifer module has achieved ACPR performance with 2 to 3dB marging from IS-95 requirement at output powers, 23.5dBm for PCS and 28dBm for 800MHz CDMA respectively.
This study was conducted to investigate the avifauna and to suggest the management discipline for the protection of bird community in Odaesan National Park. Field survey was carried over 2 main trails by line transect method from mid June to early December in 1996. The 1st section included the area from Woljongas to Sangwonsa 7km distance. The 2nd section survey started from Sangwonsa via Bukdaesa and the summit of Odaesan to Sangwonsa 9.8 km distance. The study results were as follows ; The observed birds belonged to 9 orders 22families 52species, they also had Black Woodpecker(Dryocopus martius)designated as natural monument No. 242, Chinese Sparrow Hawk(Accipiter soloensis) and Kestrel(Falco tinnunculus) as natural munumet No. 323, Scops Owl(Out scops)and Korean Wood Owl(Strix aluco) as No. 324. These birds also were classified into 25 species for residents, 16 species for summer visitors, 8 species for passage migrants, 3 species for winter visitors, respectionely. The 2nd section showed a high species richness and individuals in every season, however, had a difference in species composition with 1st section. Nesting guild of breeding bird community used highly in order of bush, hole, and canopy as a nest resources. It is suggested that high bush-nesting guild had a deep relationship with bush layer located in the ecotone of 1st section and that located in the high elevated zone in 2nd section. Hole-nesting guild such as Black Woodpecker(Dryocopus martius), Gray-headed Woodpecker(Picus canus) and Great Spotted Woodpecker(Dendrocopos major) were surveyed only in 2nd section, so it could be attribute to the small fragmentation and the growing of high diameter at breast height(D.B.H) tree in 2nd section. It is urgent that the management of camping ground and people for the conservation of brook in 1nd section, trail protection for the prevention from trail enlargement in 2nd section for the bird protection. Artificial food in snowy winter will provide the good breeding condition with the residents and migrants. And, the endeavor to lessen the habitat fragmentation will be beneficial to the birds who have a large home range such as Black Woodpecker(Dryocopus martius) and Korean Wood Owl(Strix aluco). For the control of Domestic Dove(Columba livia) populations, it could be recommended that the elimination of their nesting resources by net.
