RGB color ratiomatric planar optode로 측정한 표층 퇴적물의 2차원 산소 분포 (Two-dimensional Oxygen Distribution in a Surface Sediment Layer Measured Using an RGB Color Ratiometric Oxygen Planar Optode)

  • We measured two-dimensional (2-D) oxygen distribution in the surface sediment layer of intertidal sediment using a simple and inexpensive planar oxygen optode, which is based on a color ratiometric image approach. The recorded emission intensity of red color luminophore light significantly changed with oxygen concentration by $O_2$ quenching of platinum(II)octaethylporphyrin (PtOEP). The ratios between the intensity of red and green emissions with oxygen concentration variation demonstrated the Stern-Volmer relationship. The 2-D oxygen distribution image showed microtopographic structure, diffusivity boundary layer and burrow in surface sediment layer. The oxygen penetration depth (OPD) was about 2 mm and the one-dimensional vertical diffusive oxygen uptake (DOU) was 12.6 mmol $m^{-2}d^{-1}$ in the undisturbed surface sediment layer. However, those were enhanced near burrow by benthic fauna, and the OPD was two times deeper and DOU was increased by 34%. The simple and inexpensive oxygen planar optode has great application potential in the study of oxygen dynamics with high spatiotemporal resolution, in benthic boundary layers.

256 능동위상배열 기반 연직바람 관측장비의 송수신 채널 크기 및 위상 보정 방법 연구 (Study on TRX Channel Amplitude and Phase Calibration Method for a Radar Wind Profiler Based on 256 Active Phased Array)

  • 본 논문에서는 256 능동위상배열 기반의 연직바람 관측장비(RWP)의 송수신 채널의 크기 및 위상을 보정하는 방법등이 논의된다. 별도의 모듈 추가 없이 송수신 전단기 및 송수신 전환기에 커플러 및 스위치를 사용하여 송신 및 수신 보정 경로를 확보하였고, Gain 및 Phase Detector를 사용하여 256 송수신 채널의 크기 및 위상을 독립적으로 보정하였다. 보정된 256 능동위상배열 안테나는 근접전계 시험을 통해 5개의 빔 (연직, 동, 서, 남, 북)의 빔폭 및 사이드 로브가 시뮬레이션 계산 값과 일치함을 확인하였다. 제안된 보정방법은 실외 환경에서 운용되는 능동위상배열 기반의 시스템에 용이하게 적용이 가능하다.

고결모래의 콘선단저항과 미소변형전단탄성계수 관계 (Relationship between Cone Tip Resistance and Small-Strain Shear Modulus of Cemented Sand)

  • This study evaluates the relationship between cone tip resistance ($q_c$) and small-strain shear modulus ($G_{max}$) of cemented sand. For this purpose, a series of miniature cone penetration and bender element tests are performed in calibration chamber specimens with various gypsum contents. Experimental results show that both $q_c$ and $G_{max}$ of sand increase with increasing cementation level as well as relative density and vertical confining stress. However, the relative density and vertical confining stress has more significant influence on $G_{max}$ and $q_c$ of uncemented sand than those of cemented sand. It is observed that the $G_{max}/q_c$ ratio of cemented sand decreases with increasing relative density. This result means that state variables have more affect on $q_c$ than $G_{max}$ of cemented sand. Test results also show that the effect of vertical stress on $G_{max}-q_c$ relation is reduced by cementation effect.

항공LiDAR 시스템 검정 및 정확도 평가 연구 (A Study on Airborne LiDAR System Calibration and Accuracy Evaluation)

  • 3차원 지형정보에 대한 사용자 요구의 증가에 따라 GPS/INS, 레이저 스캐너 시스템이 조합된 항공레이저측량 기술이 각광받고 있다. 본 논문에서는 항공레이저측량(LiDAR) 시스템의 정확도 확보를 위해 검정장에서의 측량데이터를 바탕으로 시스템 검정을 실시하였다. 검정결과, 수평 정확도는 ${\pm}15{\sim}30\;cm$ 이내, 수직정확도는 ${\pm}15cm$ 이내로 나타났다. 이를 통해 항공레이저측량 데이터를 이용하여 정밀 DEM 및 등고선 제작. 도시지역의 3차원 모델 제작, 엔지니어링 설계 등의 활용에 충분함을 입증하였다.

  • In this research, Forced Vibration Test(FVT) on a cable stayed bridge was conducted to examine the validity of the frequency domain pattern recognition method using signal anomaly index and artificial neural network. The considering structure, Samchunpo Bridge, located in Sachun-Shi, Kyungsangnam-Do, is a cable stayed bridge with the 436 meter span. The excitation force was induced by a sudden braking of a fully loaded truck, and vertical acceleration signals were acquired at 14 points. The initial 2-dimensional FE-model was developed from the design documents to prepare the training sets for the artificial neural network, and then the model calibration was performed with the field test data. As a result of the model calibration, we obtained the FFT spectrums from the model simulation, which was similar to those from the vibration test. These tests and the simulation data will be used fur the structural identification using arbitrarily added masses to the bridge.

  • The first sounding rocket in Korea, KSR-4205 has been under the development at Korea Aerospace Research Institute (KARI), and is expected to be launched in 1993 to measure the vertical ozone profile over the Korean Peninsula. The KSR-4205 is expected to provide the first in situ meastulement of ozone concentrations over the Korean Peninsula. An optical ozone detector has been developed at Korea Research Institute of Standards and Science (KRISS), and its calibration has been completed recently. Also, sun-sensor has been developed for measurement of the angle between the sun and the KSR-4205. In this paper, measurement principles of the ozone detector in KSR-4205, its calibration data, ozone measurement procedure and data reduction algoriHun are presented with sample calculations.

블록 보간법을 이용한 산업용 로봇의 3차원 위치 보정기법 (A 3-D Position Compensation Method of Industrial Robot Using Block Interpolation)

  • This paper proposes a self-calibration method of robots those are used in industrial assembly lines. The proposed method is a position compensation using laser sensor and vision camera. Because the laser sensor is cross type laser sensor which can scan a horizontal and vertical line, it is efficient way to detect a feature of vehicle and winding shape of vehicle's body. For position compensation of 3-Dimensional axis, we applied block interpolation method. For selecting feature point, pattern matching method is used and 3-D position is selected by Euclidean distance mapping between 462 feature values and evaluated feature point. In order to evaluate the proposed algorithm, experiments are performed in real industrial vehicle assembly line. In results, robot's working point can be displayed 3-D points. These points are used to diagnosis error of position and reselecting working point.

  • Efforts have been devoted to developing rapid and accurate methods for measuring the errors of machine tools. The method os measurement and calibration of machine tool errors should be general and efficient. The objective of this study is to show in detail the full sequence from the measurement of errors factors to the verification of the positioning accuracy after compensation for the volumetric error. In this paper, we described the steps in measuring the volumetric error parameters, a general error model composed of error parameters, temperature, and the desired position. The validity of the error calibration methods proposed in this paper was tested using a vertical 3-axis CNC machine with a laser interferometer and a ball bar.

  • Quadrotor is an aircraft which is possible in Vertical Take-off and Landing(VTOL). This aircraft can not only be created as an Unmanned Aerial Vehicle(UAV), but also can be easily used in various fields because of its simplicity of construction. This study is mainly conducted with two main purposes. The first goal is designing the quadrotor focusing on the lightweight and protecting the airframe. The second purpose is stabilizing the quadrotor's attitude by using the PID controller. MATLAB simulation is performed for obtaining PID gain based on equations of motion. We used the compensation filter technique for the calibration of sensor data. PID gain has been drawn out based on the MATLAB simulation. The efficiency of the attitude control is improved by calibration of sensor data.

Comparison of GPS Antenna Calibration Models and Their Effects in Determination of Precipitable Water Vapors

  • To get accurate positions of GPS antennas, one should apply phase center variations (PCV) corrections in the data processing. Until recently, relative calibrations, originally proposed by National Geodetic Survey of United States, were the international standard. However, in late 2006, International GNSS Service will switch to absolute calibration methods. In this study, we compared the position differences caused by different PCV models, and their effects on the calculations of Precipitable Water Vapor (PWV) in the atmosphere. Data from ${\sim}40$ permanent GPS stations in Korea were processed and we found that the vertical position differences reach up to 5 cm, depending on the model selected. Also the PWV values varied quite significantly: the maximum bias in the computed PWV values was ${\sim}4$ mm.
