Design of FPGA Camera Module with AVB based Multi-viewer for Bus-safety (AVB 기반의 버스안전용 멀티뷰어의 FPGA 카메라모듈 설계)

  • In this paper, we proposed a multi-viewer system with multiple HD cameras based AVB(Audio Video Bridge) ethernet cable using IP networking, and FPGA(Xilinx Zynq 702) for bus safety systems. This AVB (IEEE802.1BA) system can be designed for the low latency based on FPGA, and transmit real-time with HD video and audio signals in a vehicle network. The proposed multi-viewer platform can multiplex H.264 video signals from 4 wide-angle HD cameras with existed ethernet 1Gbps. and 2-wire 100Mbps cables. The design of Zynq 702 based low latency to H.264 AVC CODEC was proposed for the minimization of time-delay in the HD video transmission of car area network, too. And the performance of PSNR(Peak Signal-to-noise-ratio) was analyzed with the reference model JM for encoding and decoding results in H.264 AVC CODEC. These PSNR values can be confirmed according the theoretical and HW result from the signal of H.264 AVC CODEC based on Zynq 702 the multi-viewer with multiple cameras. As a result, proposed AVB multi-viewer platform with multiple cameras can be used for the surveillance of audio and video around a bus for the safety due to the low latency of H.264 AVC CODEC design.

  • This paper describes the DC-DC Converter for Ancillary Power Supply in Hybrid Electric Vehicle. DC-DC Converter is used for charging 12V auxiliary battery supplying electric power to head ramp, audio, ECU etc in automobiles. used DC-DC Converter Topology is PS-ZVS FB(Phase Shifted Zero Voltage Switching Full-Bridge) to reduce switching loss and EMI noise induced by high frequency operating condition. And For easy compensation and stable system response characteristic, current mode control method including slope compensation is employed. Constant current / constant voltage charging control method guarantee stable electric charging of auxiliary battery. Simulation toll PSIM6.0 is used for initial circuit parameter settings and H/W debuging. Thermal problems of Switching components in DC-DC Converter is improved by using Thermo Tracer.

  • A fixed type driving simulator is constructed with a car body, beam projector, operation software , driving scenario, and audio equipments. With the simulator, the cognitive effects of fatigue due to two hour continuous driving of a straight road is investigated . The effects of alcohol on driving performance is also studied. The braking operation and lane keeping performance due to fatigue and alcohol are investigated. Changes of vehicle motion due to these effects are verified by computer simulation.

  • Jointless AF(Audio Frequency) Track Circuit is more comfortable than exist joint track circuit. This electrical circuit's function is detection train on rail, and transmit information between wayside and vehicle. 'Korea Railroad Corporation' proposed for revision of the Korean railway standards(KRS SG 0038-06 R, 2006.5.16) "Non-insulated AF Track Circuit". This proposal equipment developed to extend use for station of National Railway exist line. According to test standards Korean railway safety law and its ordinances, which were committed to Korea Railroad Research Institute, the professional committee 'Railway facility sector II' have helded on January in 2007. In this investigation, the changed test norm will be review the difference of important function test standards of new version to conform effectivity and safety test procedure according to the KS A 1025.

  • The DAB(Digital Audio Broadcasting) service which is based on the Eureka-147 of Europe is developed to DMB(Digital Multimedia Broadcasting) service that is divided into Terrestrial DMB and Satellite DMB. The Satellite DMB is a new broadcasting service, which will service multi-channel multimedia broadcasting by the portable receiver or the vehicle receiver. In this paper, we consider that link level performance of satellite DMB system A which is based on the COFDM(Coded Orthogonal Division Multiplexing). It uses the OFDM method which is sensitive to nonlinearity, so we analyze the effect of the HPA(High Power Amplifier) nonlinearity. And then we define the appropriate back-off value by performing the link level simulation considering back-off effect. Also we consider the effect of frequency and time offset, and then confirm the overall link level performance by analyzing and verifying a suitable synchronization method for satellite DMB system A.

  • While MOST is an in-vehicle network which transfers concurrently synchronous data, asynchronous data and control data, it provides high bandwidth synchronous section which can transfer video and audio without buffering. To transfer real time data using synchronous section, connections between source node and sink node, and channel allocation for connections are required. In this paper, we proposed synchronous data transfer method and channel allocation method by constructing MOST network after designing and implementing channel allocation module for using synchronous data section.

  • The Design of automotive IP must be designed for improving safety, and for satisfying the consumer's preference and for enlarging the usability of various gauges and information displaydevices. Also, these objects become more important by regarded and will be treated very sensitively for the next-generation vehicle concepts. Therefore, Automotive IP must be designed to adjust these trends, besides accord with car-inner lifestyle. One of these concept's designs is to apply Human Sensibility Ergonomics. This study suggestes the driver-centered design of the IP components that focused on the audio unit and HVAC(Heat and Ventilation Air Conditioner) through cognitive experiment. Primarily, analyzed components of IP in use, then, combined these components (especially, the number and arry of buttons, the position of LCD panel, etc.) nd designed some sample images(prototypes) the same as real size. After the subjects looked at the sam ples at the interval of 0.2/0.4/0.6 seconds, subjects should fill out the given forms from their memory. Then, the optimal prototype of IP was designed in respect to the correctness of cognition. The results will show the basic guideline of optimal design of IP that in the case of aaudio unit, the position of LCD, the array and the number of channel, in the case of HVAC, the position of LCD, TEMP button type and other button types.

  • A portable head up display (HUD) using the optical combiner lens with a 0.47inch LCD panel for a portable multi-windows virtual display is proposed. The proposed system consists of several micro panels, optical devices, and RGB 3in1 light-emitting diodes (LED) for making the full color display, and video and audio format for the high definition multimedia interface (HDMI) for the connecting between HUD and mobile phone. The multi-windows HUD is designed as an alternative to conventional built-in type HUD targeting the mass volume aftermarket at an affordable price.

  • 자동차 오디오는 차량의 상품성에 큰 영향을 미치고 있다. 고급 차량일수륵 또한 젊은 층일수록 차량 구매시 선택의 기준이 되기도 한다 그러나 자동차 오디오는 크게 두가지 면에서 가정용 오디오와 차이가 있다. 첫번째는 청취공간이 매우 헙소하다는 것이고 둘째로는 주행시 차량소음이 차 실내로 유입되어 오디오 음질에 영향을 미친다. 차 실내는 즘은 공간 음향폭성으로 인한 음향 dip 현상이 발생하며 이는 오디오 음질의 왜곡을 가져오므로 이를 개선하기 위해서는 라우드스피커 최적배치 뿐 아니라 주행소음에 대한 시험 및 분석을 하여 오디오 음질에 영향을 주는 주파수 밴드를 파악하여야 한다 본 논문에서는 오디오 음에 차량소음이 섞인 경우에 대하여 차량의 라우드스피커 위치는 변경하지 않고 라우드스피커의 주파수 밴드별 출력을 디지털필터를 이용하여 수정하는 방법으로 음질 개선을 제안하였다. 디지털 필터의 보정치는 차량 주행소음 특성과 차 실내 음향특성을 고려하였다. 차량소음을 섞은 주파수 옥타브 밴드 분석법을 이용한 객관적인 분석과 감성적 분석법인 NCB곡선으로 차량소음을 분식하여 디지털 필터 보정치를 구하는데 사용하였다. 제안한 9가지 디지털 필터를 이용하여 차량소음과 음악을 합성하였고 이중에서 좋은 음질에 대한 판정을 하기 위해 Scheffe가 제안한 7점 주관 평가법을 사용하여 64명이 내린 주관평가를 수행하였다.

  • When a single source of multimedia contents is distributed to multiple reproduction devices, the audio and video contents require synchronous play for multi-channel stereo sound and lip-synchronization. The multimedia system in vehicle, especially, has researched to move to wireless environments from legacy wired environments. This paper proposes the advanced algorithm for providing synchronized services of real-time multimedia traffic in IEEE 802.11 WLANs [1]. For these, we implement the advanced IEEE 1588 Precision Time Protocol [2] and the environments for simulation. Also, we estimate and analysis performance of the algorithm, then we experiment and analysis after the porting of algorithm in wireless LAN devices (Linksys wrt-350n AP network device) to characterize timing synchronization accuracy.
